This video really helped me to secure my kids devices from milicious wensites. I checked the logs and it blocked all milicious traffic to my kids devices.
Time scheduling will work with any and all devices no matter how they are connected to the router. Once they use the router as the gateway to the internet or all internet traffic passes through your ASUS device. Hope that helps!
It will not matter once you specifically use the MAC address and by using multiple layer there is a lower risk of bypassing the filtering. Hope that helps!
The AX57 will function the say was as any other ASUS router that runs the Merlin Firmware. There are a few things you can do to block snapchat and tiktok, you can use under parental controls -> Web & Apps Filters block Instant message and communication and/or also under Firewall -> URL Filter and Keyword Filter tabs you can add the website for snapchat and tiktok there. Test with a device to make sure you get the desired outcome when making changes to know if it works or not. Hope that helps.
Yes it can, under the Firewall tab there are URL Filter and Keyword Filter. Keyword Filter will block any website that contains the words in the filter. To filter Adult sites you will have to setup the DHCP to issue static IP addresses to the devices you want to filter first then under the LAN tab go to DNS Director and then add the device under client MAC address and under Redirection select OpenDNS Family. This will use OpenDNS DNS servers to filter any adult sites. Additionally under the Parental Controls tab add the device under Client Name and under Content Category select Adult. You can use both setting to make sure the adult sites are blocked. Hope that helps!

Glad it helped you.
would time scheduling work if devices are connected to the Asus via Cat6 cables???

Is there a way to have time scheduling only with specific websites? Like for example I want only youtube to be blocked during specific hours.
Unfortunately that is a limitation with this consumer grade router from ASUS
and those option cannot bypassed by changing DNS on windows or android app ?
