Hi, Amy. I realise this is an old post and you’re well into your weight loss journey. I just want you to know you’re my absolute inspiration. I’m lay in a hospital bed as I write this and I’ve just had my sleeve. I’m aching and sore. Hurts when I breathe in/cough and I haven’t slept a wink since I fully came round from anaesthetic. I watched/watch your video all the time. I don’t think I could’ve done this with out all your lovely advice. I’m so proud of myself for going through with it as I was so scared. Can’t wait to be where you are with your weight loss. You look incredible. Thanks once again, Amy. Lots of love and well wishes being sent your way. Kirsty xx
Good see you looking so much better and glad you think it has all been worthwhile. This was so interesting to listen to, thank you for being so open and good luck going forward. xxx
this was really interesting to watch & I hope someone who will go to this surgery will see this video! Hope you'll only get better & better & reach all your goals
Thanks for all the information!! I'm going to see my doctors this week to see about the gastric sleeve, so worried it's going to be such a long wait to get it done, I feel like I have my mind completely set on getting it done so going to look into getting it done private too! Hope your feeling ok! And start feeling good soon, I'm really looking forward to following your journey xx
this is very informative, Thankyou. I've been looking into this procedure for myself so following your journey is helping me make up my mind. I had an operation last year and hubby and my sister were giving me my stomach injections, my stomach was one massive bruise. Take care of yourself xxxx
this is such a great video!! i hope anybody who will be having this surgery sees this because it's so informative!! i hope you reach your 1 stone mark before the new year ❤❤
Great news that your op went well....wishing you all the luck 🍀 with your new journey... I'm actually thinking about looking into this op for me too 😊....Merry Christmas sweetie... Xx
Hi Amy. I'm a new subbie. I came across your video, about your up coming operation and found you so endearing. I love your honesty. what you've been through is so brave. And you've been so open, I really admire you. Take care and get loads of rest. Hugs Mandy.xx 💕💙💕💙
hi amy. i'm 20, 21 in april and starting to consider this surgery. i was on a forum and a girl told me she had no sex drive since her operation. this worries me. if you feel comfortable answering me i'd like to know your experience regarding sex but please just ignore this if it makes you uncomfortable. you're my inspiration :)
Hi Claudia. First of all, I just want to say that everyone is different and no story the same. You are still young, you need to research the heck out of this surgery before you make any decisions! I am not going to discuss my sex life publicly, because that isn't what my channel is for. I do however need to say, that when I came to the decision that I was having this surgery and even though the research stage, I heard nothing of the sort. I myself didn't even consider it because quite frankly, I needed this surgery to save my life, much more than I needed sex! I hope that makes sense! Good luck xx
I’m suprised how you can eat in the first week after your op because most ppl have to wait until the 3-4 week after surgery to be able to eat ....... I’m not even one week post op and I am only allowed water and apple juice all week 🤯
A q&a would be great! My question is what protein shakes/powder was you recommended? As I know that the more protein you intake the less likely you are to lose your hair, as you can add the powder to some foods during the purée stage of the diet. Also what is the name of the chewable multi-vits called and where can find them as having a hard time to find some, as want to be prepared lol. Also well done you've done so well so far! ☺️
Thank you! I will add that to my list but answer them for you now too so you know before your surgery! I don't drink protein shakes! I was recommended to add a bit of powdered milk into things to up my protein, bought it but never used it! I had lots of high protein foods and then blended them! As for the vitamins, I had the Centrum Chewable, you can get them in Superdrug usually on offer! When you can swallow the normal ones you only need one a day, but with the chewable you need one AM and one PM xx
Amy Farquhar thank you for the reply! I'll definitely look into the powdered milk as having such a hard time with finding the protein powder that's low in sugar so thank you for the tip 😊 and also for the vitamins I got some but they're massive and are even hard to swallow now and cutting them into quarters they're still too big so I'll get some of the centrum ones, and to answer your other reply, my surgery is coming really close 3 weeks from now I'll have had the surgery I'm really exited but nervous at the same time and can't wait to start a new chapter of my life if that makes any sense lol hope you're journey is going well and I have to say you look amazing can really see a difference hun 😊 x
