I hope you found this video useful! Let me know what you think about the last example where I didn't show the moves until the end. Would you like me to always add an example like this to help you with the visualization process or should I made the move to make it easier to see?
Hey man, Loved the vid! I really learned a lot from it. Please could you make another vid covering this topic, because I was a little confused should I be looking at the next coming moves or should I just use check capture and threats on every move? Thanks😊
@@alicutchhi I am glad you like the video. With every new move you make, you should retake the same checklist, checks, captures and attacks. So let's say you analyze all of them and realize that in one position the best move is to capture an enemy piece. After you capture and your enemy respond, when it's your move you will start the same rethinking process, first looking at checks, after that at captures and after that at threts
Great video. This method reminds me of how I was taught chess, but I must "Checks, Captures, threats" is really simple algorithm for remember what to look for in the mid game.
This is a magnificent video, thanks! Do you know where I can find puzzles such as your first to practice calculating checks, captures and threats? I find it such a valuable method but many puzzles are one or two moves without much clever mating technique to calculate. This was highly satisfying and this type of puzzle would not only help my calculation, but also my blunder awareness (to avoid moving to covered squares).
I hope you found this video useful!
