    FYI 3000 series should have something called an ECO mode that could either be activated through bios or ryzen master. Allowing you to drop the voltage down to about 0.9V stable and running 44% power consumption with 77% performance. Other then having the best performance/wattage you'll also run A LOT cooler.

      I get unstable below 1.05 V running 2.9 Ghz. This is manual tweaking. If I run 0.9V, I have to drop the frequency down a lot more.

      @@percevalzinzin5983 I'm a winblows guy. I have too much software over 30 years of programming in winblows. Profit is strange. Most of my coins were made using 8 Vega 56 GPU cards. They were a real pain to keep online at decent low voltages. But, even when I was mining 4 years ago the payback for the hardware was still 1 year. In 2018 the rig would make 1 coin every 2 weeks. Now, the same priced CPU rig makes 1 coin every 3 months. But, the price of a single coin is 5X higher now. I suppose in 4 more years this rig will make 1 coin every year. But, the price of the coin will be over $1,000. It is strange. I never feel like I'm making money, but somehow the rig does pay for itself. I'm never going to get rich. But, It is a really cool rig to run. The watchdog software that I coded makes the rig extremely efficient. My uptime at 100% capacity is around 99.8%. I'm subscribed. Thanks for giving a shoutout to CPU mining. I've got some CPU mining ideas and questions, but also don't want to start posting things in public forums in a way that could mess with the prices. My thing is trying not to buy new and recycle as much as possible, and there are A LOT of recycled CPU's on the re-seller's market.
    For instance, one of the cheapest and quickest ways to get a setup is to buy a used mobo with a cpu/ram/etc already installed. People upgrading and selling their older setups will likely not want to take the time to detach and sell all of the extras. The downside is the lack of options involved, but sometimes something will fall into the criteria of what you are after, and you get the whole setup fairly cheap.
    Looking forward to more CPU mining stuff if you get around to it. Maybe we could throw some better ideas around in a less-public way after some trust is built.
    Thanks again.

      Monero is supposed to be the peoples money. Bitcoin is controlled by 1% of the miners that own most of the coins. The idea of CPU mining is to allow normal gamers to support the network instead of rich elites. Public is good.

    • @DGTL_MRKT
      @DGTL_MRKT 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@microdronetech8453 Public is good, but I also can't pretend like the same people who centralized Bitcoin and now Ethereum, wouldn't do the same to the CPU market.
      Let's say Monero continues to grow in price, and day-after-day this informative video gets more and more views from people interested in mining Monero. If I were to blabber around the best ideas, particularly concerning keeping the entry-level investment low, over time, we would see the exact same re-seller's scalping equipment, selling it for 4x the value, thereby deleting the chance for common people to participate.
      GPU mining was meant to be decentralized, but when we start seeing people selling GPU mining rigs that cost as much as an ASIC, and a single GPU costs 3-4x msrp, we can both understand that those who have the means, will forever greedily horde, and centralize power as much as they can.
      I am not a rich elite.
      All I have to contend with these elites, is not money, but what few ideas I may have that are untapped by the market.
      I left a hint in the initial post that I made. I hope you can find it, and if you do find it, it's your choice to talk about it.
      I really want to share all of the data, I really do, but these dangdable re-sellers smell opportunities on public forums like a bloodhound. Unfortunately, at this time, I have to keep the barrier-of-entry at the level for people smart enough, or passionate enough to figure it out on their own.
      When I say "re-seller's market," there is a specific website that everyone uses... if you can find the dark-themed "cpu hashrates" website, what I'm after CPU-wise, is on the first page... A lot of great CPU's started coming out around 2011.
      Yup. I'm weird... It is the internet though.

    • @microdronetech8453
      @microdronetech8453  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@DGTL_MRKT ASICs are 10x more profitable than CPUs. Monero was getting 50% of the hash rate from custom ASICs that were kept secret for up to 6 months before the algo was changed. Big money can drop $1 million on ASIC custom designs and rack in $10 million in coin. That doesn't happen with CPUs. CPU's are way more expensive than ASICs. Return on investment needs to be 1 month. Return on investment with a CPU is at least 2 years at current prices and more like 4 years when monero drops back down to $100.

    • @DGTL_MRKT
      @DGTL_MRKT 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@microdronetech8453 I agree with everything you said, except the last sentence, "Return on investment with a CPU is at least 2 years at current prices and more like 4 years when monero drops back down to $100."
      I think I can ROI in less than a year at current monero prices.
      This is theoretical, but I hope to let you know more within a couple months.
      But hey, ROI ain't everything. Monero is a crypto that's been around for awhile now, and has officially made a stance that I support.
      Deterring ASICs, and even GPUs, Monero has gone above and beyond to uphold the basic principle... this is the reason to support Monero.
      Do I think that Monero is going to continue to increase in price, and won't succumb to the bear market? No, it will fall again, but I do believe it will level out at a price higher than it was during the last bear market.
      Eventually, over 5, 10, 20 years, I think Monero will remain at a gradual increase in price, with market fluctuations ending in an overall increase.. but that's just my opinion of course.
      Anywho, thanks again for the video and the responses. It's nice of you to respond to my rambling.
      I'll come back and post when I've secured first-hand data on this theory I have.

      use the faster memory that I have on the list. The 5900x should provide the same hash as the 3900x. 12,500 hash running 1.1V and nice and cool CPU. Everything is the same. The stock cooler should be fine for the 5900X, because it only has 12 cores. But, you can run the bigger cooler that I have in specified. I want this rig to run 10 years with minimal maintenance. They key to long life is staying below 70 deg C on the CPU.

    • @microdronetech8453

      Do temperature optimization last. The stock CPU voltage is more stable while you trouble shoot everything on the rig. Once the rig is stable drop the frequency to 3,800 Mhz and the voltage to 1.100V. I suspect the 5900 is the exact same chip as the 3900 (mostly).

    Why would you cheap out on the coolers of all things? I'm going to go ahead and assume that those cheap coolers aren't actually built for TR but are just adapted to fit on TR. If you got some NH-U9 or U14S TR4-SP3 coolers you'd be doing a hell of a lot better cooling-wise since the piece that makes contact with the IHS actually covers it and would put the heatpipes in exactly the right spot above the die.

      I like that the $26 cooler in the parts list has the heat pipes in direct contact with the chip. Why would putting another layer of aluminum between the chip and the heat tubes be better? Heat transfer is conductance x distance. Copper has much better conductance than aluminum.

However, the problem with the GPU is that ASICS can easily be created to dominate the network. RandomX for monero makes ASICs impossible. So, the network is organic and not manipulated.

    in the end 15:55 you mentioned about "you hope that rigs running many year" that is even more intrigue. What is the point?
    i explain my question (i *really watn get your* point 😉)
    *1* -3950x is give 1.78$(48$ month) for now but cost in newegg for example 810$ (in my county it cost 946$...) and we can put 1 cpu per rig
    *2* -in dollars 1.78$ for now in ETH is 18Mhs - 18 we can get on every 1060 without overclock but with OC -24Mhs = 2.44$ per day and 73$ per month.
    *3* -we can easy put in almost every rig 6-8 GPUs and what we take in ETH -> convert every day to XMR - so this way we can recieve more XMR if you belive in monero and hold monero.
    So even on old GTX 1060 wich not so power effective we can getn money representation more XMR, we can day by day change ETH to XMR is we wath hold xmr.... but in gpu mining we can put many GPUs for example if i attentively read description about ASUS ROG Crosshair VII HERO - there are room for 7 GPUs ...

    • @microdronetech8453

They go for $800 today used. XMR pays $9 per day now. I don't have the time to go back to GPU cards. Plus, they are super expensive now. I'll just keep mining monero to the end. I'm running 99.9% up time now for the last month at 68,000 Hash. I'll do an update videos showing the reliability. GPU cards do crash daily. I don't think there is a more efficient way to run RandomX. I'm saving 250 watts total running the cpu at 1.100V on the miners.
