    You are the 1st one on TH-cam to review this, Great work getting it out there so quickly. Looking for a replacement for my Samsung 85" QN800a in our theater room. Kind of vacillating between the BENQ 7050, This new unit, the L9G and the Samsung Lsp9t. It doesn't seem like there's one ultra short throw that has all of the right characteristics.
    Really like that there is a cover over the lens on the benq. How close the Samsung can be to the wall, The brightness of the L9G, The ability to size from 90-130" of the Px1 pro, But I still want great color accuracy and 3-D would be a nice add on as well. Is there anything on the market that rolls everything up in a nice little package Under 10K?

      The new Samsung and the New LG are arround 6k and they are the best you can get. There won't be anything cheaper that can beat those two. If this Hisense projector was 3k. It would of been a bang for you buck. But at 4k. Not really. Might as well go for 6k and get the best. The only thing on don't like about the new Samsung is that the case is white. So the new LG takes the lead. As of now.

  • @biogons14
    @biogons14 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think that a throw ratio of 0.25 is too big, compared with 0.19 in the LG and Samsung models; to support it properly you need a table of 24"(60cm) depth, while with the others it is enough 16" (40cm), with a 100" screen.

    • @h4xor1701
      @h4xor1701 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      for the best performance a projection screen is a must, also for dark room it's meant all walls are dark colored or black because reflections are the worst enemy of a white screen/surface

    • @ProjectorScreen
      @ProjectorScreen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Using a UST directly on a wall will not only yield a worse image quality than on a proper screen but UST projectors will also accentuate any deviations in flatness on the wall/surface and will distort the image.
      While you “can” project directly into the wall, you most certainly will not be getting the full fidelity out of this or any other UST.

    • @valueelectronics9390
      @valueelectronics9390 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes an UST/ALR screen will give you the best overall picture quality, but with that said I have frequently used our L9G and PX1-PRO in several rooms in my house on just white walls and the picture quality is excellent and far better than I would have expected! The PX1-PRO I lent to Shane of Spare Change was given to Brian of Whisper Status 74 and he will be launching his video of the PX1-PRO projecting on a white wall with white walls surrounding the projected image so you can see the very excellent performance these new Hisense projectors can deliver on just a white wall. 20” of diagonal from a 100” to a 120” equates to a 44% increase in surface area. A $1,000 price difference is what you see from Epson and Grandview for the same leap, even more so from Elite Screens. Do you 4K Projection owners feel a bit gipped not having Dolby Vision?

    • @valueelectronics9390
      @valueelectronics9390 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Very good point. I happen to agree, but the problem is mostly on Dolby Vision as they are not anxious to certify any projector. I believe we will see some Dolby Vision projectors in the near future. Most importantly is that we do have very capable HDR cUSH and long throw capable projectors and most have dynamic tone mapping processing each frame by frame measuring luminance levels and delivering each frame tone mapped properly.

      Not really, I have both HRD10+ Samsung LSP9T projector 120" and LG OLED 77" DV and I seriously cant tell a difference. Both look very nice. Other than the obvious OLED looks better. . But the LSP9T in a dark room??? Wow!! I just wish HDR10+ content and all content and movies were full screen instead of black bars on top and bottom

      I'm a bit behind on all these newer projectors with my optoma uhd60 but honestly I use my projector for about 95% of the time. I have an 55" lg b8 OLED and while I do enjoy dv content from time to time, i still default to the projector. If I had one of those insanely huge 85 inch OLEDs then maybe the the ratio would do a complete 180. I don't feel like I'm missing too much in my case.

    Is this a "NATIVE" projector or is it using pixel shifting? If it is using pixel shifting the word "Native" should be left out of any review IMO.

    • @valueelectronics9390
      @valueelectronics9390 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hisense uses TI's E-shift DLP processor. It's called Native as TI's DMM DLP 4K chipset put all 8.3 million pixels on the screen at the same time so it natively renders a native 4K images. I do agree that we have so many technical details in all of the a/v specs it can be sometime misleading or confusing.

    • @scotttild
      @scotttild 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@valueelectronics9390 IT IS NOT NATIVE IF IT IS USING PIXEL SHIFTING. It might render a 4k image but if it is pixel shifting it is NOT NATIVE. The only true native projectors are the Sony 695 and JCV NX7 and their successors. They use a “native” 4k chip and produce a native picture. All these others use pixel shifting to get to a 4k image, to call this a native projector is just wrong and just blatantly false. It is also why these projectors cost so much less then the true “Native” projectors. A lot of reviews are blurring the distinction between a true “NATIVE” projector and the pixel shifting ones. If it is so they can get the demo model and are being told to use that word I am not sure, but its not a NATIVE anything IMO.

    • @valueelectronics9390
      @valueelectronics9390 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@scotttild I want you to know that I personally agree with you about E-shift being called "Native" in regard to their resolution, but the fact is that the manufacturers refer their TI DLP E-shift technology as "Native" is within the specification standard.
      Also know that there are no UST projectors that have a true Native resolution DLP without employing E-shift technology. Sony's VZ100ES UST projector was a true native 4K UST projector, unfortunately its been discounted. Finally, TI's E-shift chipset is a very high performance technology and does an excellent job rendering 4K images very accurately with all of the 3840x2160 progressively scanned pixels at the all together, frame by frame.
      While we're talking about misleading technical terms and standards, the merging of the HDMI 2.0 devices into the HDMI 2.1 category if they just support any one of the HDMI 2.1 features. Now this is something that all consumers should be aware of so they can select their a/v purchases to be sure they support all of their usees.

    • @scotttild
      @scotttild 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@valueelectronics9390 It's not native no matter what the manufactures are trying to push its flat false and misleading if not an out and out lie. IMO they are tying to muddy the waters by calling something native. I saw it when these DLP projectors starting calling them true 4k. They might get a true 4k picture but that is totally different than a "Native' 4k. The native 4k chips are much more expensive and produce a crisper image. "Native" means original meaning no manipulation. All I am saying is don't pretend that any of these projectors use the native 4k chip that the Sony and JVC have in them. The word native should be reserved for projectors that don't use any e shifting to get to a 4k image. If they do use the e shift or fake 4k then they are not native.
