3D gets a click and like from me immediately!!
3d is dead
@@ryanm2084 Only to some people is 3D dead. Many people still have a good size collection of 3D Blurays that they enjoy watching immensely.
Gets a like from me! Yet ANOTHER choice in Ultra Short Throw projector options. Love it. Just so happy they don't cost $13,000+ like they did back in 2018 and that was WITHOUT A SCREEN. Dell had one that was SUPER expensive and it had nowhere NEAR as good image quality. I have friends just waiting for USTs to get closer to $1,000 or $1,500 before they make the purchase. Keep up the projector reviews! Thanks for this one!
Good to know that there is even a brand new short distance projector new available that supports 3D. Important for me if my projector dies one day.
Hi 👋
A lot of people saying: 3D is dead .
I understand, truly (4K/8K)
But I have 127 3D blue rays 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I really really really hope the will develop something new , at least , higher than 1080p 🤷♂️😉❤️
LG G3
7.2.4
Denon /focal / crown/klipsch reference.
Have a cool & funky day 🔊🌅
Thanks for information
Would it be worth it to switch from a Formovie Theater to the BenQ???
I love to see the addition of Xbox Series X (and PS5) gaming and the features, like VRR and 60/120FPS, etc. For now I don't think I've seen a projector that is as good as a TV for these kind of features.
yay 3D good
This projector is about 60-65% wider than the avg ust. I was expecting higher lumens and the ability to project on a larger size screen instead of 120” being the max. This to me would justify the larger projector dimensions. Currently I have an Optoma p2 with a 120” screen. (Purchased before the projector shootout.) I want to upgrade in order to get DV but I am going to be patient and see what CES and 2024 brings in way of new UST projectors.
Is it normal for the 3D image to shift like that?
Would I be happy with black levels since have JVC 2000 projector?
With putting right setting and calibration you can get decent black level especially with this model. But JVC level no.However dlp have their advantages, like its hyper sharp, very good native motion, perfect 3d.And you dont need to change bulb every year like with lamp projectors
native motion
How much better is overall PQ on latest projectors like this compared to the first gen USTs? I definitely would like a quieter one, but I think I just might go 100"LED. What direction would you go?
How does it compare to others in that price range ? What would you choose?
For the size of this unit, I was expecting a better lumens number. I can't mess with any projector that isn't at least putting out 3000 lumens which is at least 900 Nits
There's nothing that does that under the $6 grand price point, except the Epson LS800, but that really shouldn't be run on max in a dark room, the contrast suffers and fan noise ramps up.
@@KimmoJaskariAWOL 3500 is usually on sale for under $5000 and has better colors and sharpness than the AWOL but yah hard to get into the $3000 price range there
You should show to you mount it ..fast play ...that is what I was looking for...how it looks on the table
You are missing a major part bro...that why you have less subs..
Question… did I notice correctly this 3D projector requires shutter glasses instead of passive? Ugghhhh
But is it worth upgrading from a projector like the Xgimi Aura? 🤔
No hdmi earc?
Chapters wouldhave helped
Sir can I run something like this with a Acoustically transparent screen as I have speakers behind it?
Yes
Getting rid of the speakers would gain some space.
Who would actually use a product like this that doesn't already have separates?
No need to buy any UST right now if you have one already don't upgrade if you want one I would wait. The new ones coming out are coming with HDMI 2.1 and have dynamic black options which help a lot.
There are 8K UST around the corner. Which might mean that future UST will come native 4K not as pixel shifts which they all are right now.
It's worth the wait.
Those 8K laser UST projectors, costs between $10.000 or $15.000.
But 2024 is gonna be a good year if you want to buy a new tv or laser UST projector.
In prospect of the 2024 summer Olympics in Paris and European championship in Germany, there gonna be some nice promotions.
I wait till 2024, the competition among the laser UST projectors will be stiff, and that's good for us, the costumers.
@walterverbeeck6929 the current projectors have all hit there current limitations.
The only things they lack is HDMI 2.1.
And 4K sharpness
Maybe better lenses
And better hardware so the software doesn't add in defects like using MEMC. Fast content adds in abnormalities
Digital keystone should really not be used. It impacts picture quality, because you're no longer using every single pixel to create the image. UST:s need to be installed very very precisely so they cover the screen without that crutch. Many home users may resort to that but it's really not recommended. Not seeing any real reason to go with this over an Epson (ultra-shorter short throw) or the new Nexigo that costs a thousand buck less and probably outperforms this, with stuff like Dolby Vision and stupid good contrast.
Can it switch between 16:9 and 2.35:1 keeping constant height?
No
Hey Shane, any chance you can review the Gran Turismo movie?
Movie reviews will be on hold till next year.
@therealshanelee aww that's sad to hear.. all good.
How much is it going for ?
$Too much.99
I guess my Formovie T1 (Theatre) is still better option these same price point new 2023 UST Projectors.
i like this type of technology but for now i stick to a tv. for gaming. no worse thing than having input lag.
I have a TV just for gaming but the rest I do watch on a projector. Such a difference. Movies come to life at 120 inches and more.
@@sanctanox nice tip m8n. i'm thinking of it. thx.
Now we are talking.......Leica should get off their high horse and watch this video....
hmmmm, Not a Peep about motion smoothness, motion processing or motion presentation at all........... Very Disappointed, but still a HUGE Channel Fan. Thank you for this content.
I know not to ask you to measure anything with a tape measure. The width was clearly 30 inches and you said " almost 40 inches ". 😂
So? Every guy does that. Lol
