@thegarydosesales5043 you're right But you still had people wanting to go vacation in Inaba when P4 came out. The game might say it's boring, but it doesn't do a good job of showing how it's boring.
I was watching this for a while and I hadn't seen the views and assumed it had like, a million or something. The editing and effort put into this and the view count don't match up at all, you seriously deserve WAAAYY more views, dude, this is incredible!!! keep it up

Your video was amazing! I could feel your love for Persona 3 through the editing and camera work. As a Japanese person, it makes me really happy to see people overseas enjoying Japanese content so much!
That's a good editing video! Venus Port ended its business in 2022 due to bad management caused by COVID. A lot of people came from the closing ceremony and it's still in people's memory... Now it's turned into a theme park, attracting people. It was fun and impressive that even places with unknown exact background went to the most similar places lol
I was sad to hear so, and unfortunate that I couldn't go inside (even if I paid, I believe filming is prohibited...) But luckily a piece of it is still in maps! Life changes so fast.
Great Edits mate. Inspiring me to pick up my own game on my edits. But I feel so silly that I didn't pick up on thr Monorail station when I was there. We transferred from the subway and went straight up, so I completely missed it. Keep up the great work legend!
I appreciate it! I worked really hard to learn new techniques to get the effects I wanted, and it really paid off I think! That sucks that you missed it! It's actually easy to miss, I missed it too when I did my Yamanote Line video; had no idea!
This is a really cool channel, I like how it shows a more grounded view of Japan and not the idolized version we often see in most media. I'm glad I stumbled upon this as I hope to do foreign exchange to Japan in the coming years so it's nice to see a bit of what life will be like there if I do go. Anyways keep up the great work!
This is an interesting comment! I've often thought back and forth about how my videos represent Japan, especially because I know that editing can be deceiving (my former film professor once said that "A filmmaker's job is to emotionally manipulate the audience into feeling what you want them to feel with editing, music, and visuals"). I want to create a balance between expectations and reality, because I can edit something to look really smooth and fun, while everyday life is naturally more of a grind than that. I think if you go to Japan, having a healthy expectation can really make the experience that much more enjoyable. Definitely pursue that exchange program, your life will never be the same. Good luck!
I just beat Persona 3 Reload last night so this video couldn't have been recommended to me at a better time. As a professional video editor myself, I really appreciated the graphics presentation in this video, matching the style of the game. Great work!

I just wanted to say that this video may have just reignited my drive to visit Japan. For so many years I've wanted to go but could never afford to and although I did get an opportunity when I was studying Japanese in college, I turned it down in favour of planning my own trip and have regretted it ever since. Unsurprisingly, as it does, life happened and I've never been in a position financially where I can justify such an expensive trip but nowadays I am slowly but surely becoming more financially stable and can actually think about doing all the things I couldn't before. It feels strange to say, but watching this video has made me quite emotional. Persona 3 has had such a huge impact on my life and I think it will always be my favourite video game of all time, if not piece of media period. Seeing the real life inspirations for the setting of the game is pretty surreal and I'm saying that while sitting at home watching someone else experience it. I think I'm going to seriously think about saving for that trip I planned all those years ago and I'm definitely going to include some of the locations you mentioned in that. I realise that none of this probably means anything to anyone else, but I just wanted you to know that your video has actually been a pretty big inspiration and made me consider things I hadn't seriously thought about in a looooooong time. Thank you for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful day/evening!
Thank you so much for sharing, it makes me really happy that you feel that way! If anything, making these videos is my way of sharing with a community, I want to inspire people on some level to have a curiosity and drive for exploring their own lives. I hope I can give something special to people, but I also don't want to be idolized for it (at the end of the day I'm just a guy who's good at editing and talks too much lol). But it's also critical for me to respect whatever game I am covering, because I know that it's important to other people; it's important to me too. So get out there, and I really hope you can make that dream happen. If there's any time to do it, it's now, or at least much sooner rather than later. (Also, I recommend coming in Fall or Spring if possible, but that's also when everyone is coming so it may be difficult). Thanks again, wishing you the best!
No way, this is such a perfect vlog. The p3 music and interface gave the video such a cool vibes, especially with your really chill personality and voice, it was certainly really kozy. Great stuff :)

Nice video! I’m hoping to visit Japan for a few months later this year, I’ll definitely check these places out! I had no idea Persona 3’s locations came from real places.
Fun tip: The park where you can see the rainbow bridge is close to the Diver City mall, where in front of the mall stands the infamous life-size Unicorn Gundam statue. If you plan to visit Odaiba, feel free to drop by Diver City and say hi to the gundam statue there. BTW, the unicorn gundam seems to sometimes suffer from technical issues from what I've heard.
this is such a good vlog! i managed to go to irl reference places for Persona 5 and Your name(movie) back in 2019! Hopefully one day i get to come back to japan to find these references.
I have been to Venus Port during my family trip to Tokyo pre pandemic, it's a really cool place and is next to Diver City, but you have to walk a bit between both malls.

I love persona 3 portable, its nice to see the real locations even if some were thanks to google. but i also hope google remains a time capsule of how places looked before but i have a feeling storage would prove to be a problem with time....i also noticed you seemed to be the one to choose to keep their eyes open in the ending cutscene of the game, i chose to close mine X'D i would love to see persona 4 locations !!!
You're kidding! Damn, I saw this a little late :( I was praying for the "Persona 5 Locations" videos continuation, and this video met my expectations with the shots, angles, and beloved locations of Tokyo. Great job once again, thanks ♥

BTW, the unicorn gundam seems to sometimes suffer from technical issues from what I've heard.
damn that ending i almost started crying 😭
this is such a good vlog! i managed to go to irl reference places for Persona 5 and Your name(movie) back in 2019! Hopefully one day i get to come back to japan to find these references.
I want to make a Your Name video someday, we will see if it's at all possible...
I have been to Venus Port during my family trip to Tokyo pre pandemic, it's a really cool place and is next to Diver City, but you have to walk a bit between both malls.
Very fun video, thanks for making this! I like the touches with the editing and music. Def gonna be checking a few of these out if I visit Tokyo at some point
WHAH! Beautifully edited video! I really liked this video and it's a pity it has so few views. Greetings from Poland!
The editing here is amazing, needs more views
The editing was sick man! Great video.
Thanks for this! Can't wait for Persona 4 IRL Locations
