Fun fact: When the weather app gives you that percentage with the rain it doesn't mean the chances to rain. Let's say it says 20% rain in your area, that means that out of all of your area only 20% of it's surface area will have rain, NOT that are 20% chances to rain in that area.
Appreciate these Eliminator updates, found your channel through them, as I want to get my own once I grab my license in October. (hopefully🤞) Looking forward to future updates and what your plans are for the bike. Ride safe! 😉
I got my Eliminator in May, 3,000 miles already! I absolutely love this bike. I'm with you on the seat. That is the only thing I would replace. I use my bike for almost all of my transportation, my truck sits like yours. I added a small windshield as I'm on the interstate equal amounts to the back roads. Very helpful to combat the wind. I am not a fan of cruisers, but I swear this isn't a cruiser. It's quick and nimble, and has all the power I need. Love this bike!
@@SasoStojanovski I expected to have to replace them because every review has that complaint. However, I am a 5'4" woman... I'm guessing since my shoulders are less broad, they work fine for me 🤷
You might want to think twice before buying a bigger bike. I've owned motorcycles since 1967, my first was a Honda S90. Since then I've had many bikes and all sizes. The quickest was a four cylinder 900 and even with many years of experience it scared me so bad on three differnt occasions I traded for a V-twin 750 which was much slower. I've had 500 cc, 600cc, a 1500cc, 750cc and four Harleys, a 96Ci, a 103 Ci and two 114 Ci. I will NEVER own another Harley. The last one broke down four times within the first year. So I bought something I can trust, a Kawasaki Eliminator SE and I LOVE it. My wife and I have rode over 350,000 miles in a fifteen year period, but she can no longer ride after battling cancer eight times and the last two surgeries crippled her to where she can no longeer walk. Besides that her bones are so thin and brittle from all the radiation if she did ride with me the ride would break her apart inside. So I bought something for me, my Eliminator SE. It has plenty of spunk, handles great, I think looks good, it is confortable, mine gets 65-66 MPG and the insurance is only $148 a year where my last Harley was $800 a year. The secret of talking long trips on a motorcycle is to stop every hour and a half and just take a break to get the vibes out. We would stop at a road side rest, or an over look, and our next stop to buy gas. We've put 500 miles on in one day and never got tired of it. We came home from the Virginia Beach area to SE Ohio one day and after I unpacked the bike I asked my wife what she wanted to do, and she said, let's go for a ride, so we did. The Eliminator can do it all, from lugging around town to highway speeds. I've only had mine to about 86 MPH and I did change the front spocket from a 14 toorh to a 15 tooth to lower the RPM's at highway speeds. This lowered them about 500 RPM at highway speeds. Mine will cruise at 80 all day long. But most of my trips I went between 65 and 70. I did install a Kawasaki rear carrier and a 29 liter Givi topcase to carry things. The 29 Liter looks great on the bike because it is narrow and just fits the bike well, but if I were to do any serious touring I would probably go to a larger topcase. I didn't want saddle bags on mine because I don't want people telling me it's a Harley want to be. I better close for now. It looks like I was writning a book. Ride safely and enjoy every journey. Any ride where you retuen home safe and sound is a GOOD ride. I hope you enjoy your Eliminator for many years to come. Buying bigger is a lot of times very disappointing. I've had more fun on my Eliminator since I bought it about two months ago than I've had in YEARS of ridng bigger bikes. And that is why we ride motorcycles, for the fun.
got mine at 2,009 miles , love it . the bike is my daily commute . what I noticed you changed the side mirriors . can you please tell where to get them. the stock ones dont give enough view. thank you
Im deciding between the Kawasaki Eliminator 450 & the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 , Eliminator is lighter bike & more powerful , but the Enfield has much more dash technology, so im torn between the two bikes 🤔🤔 Ate you familiar with the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 ??? & have an opinion between Kawasaki Eliminator & Royal Enfield Guerrilla ??? Steve from Bundaberg Australia 🇦🇺🕺🍹
Just looked into the 450 Guerrilla. It's a handsome bike for sure. In terms of fashion, I'd say they're about on par, but I am biased towards the eliminator. When you look at function. It really depends on what kind of riding you'll be doing. If you're mostly going to be on country roads cruising, either one would be excellent. The 450 Guerrilla might be a bit better in the suspension on the rougher roads. If you're wanting to venture on the highway from time to time. The eliminator would be better suited. As for the technology, I'm afraid I'm not the best one to ask. The dash & sat nav, and all seem cool, but as long as i have tac, speedo, and fule, I'm content. I just use my phone for everything else.
Glad I came across this update review on the Eliminator! Question: how are high speed rides with no windshield? Is that an accessory that can be added?
@TheGreystoneManor The wind is pretty rough. There's basically nothing diverting the airflow. I'm sure you can get a windshield, but I haven't looked. My commute is rather short, and aside from that, I'm mostly on country roads. I could've used one on my trip to tail of the dragon. That day was about 7 hours of riding. I'd recommend one if you're gonna be on the highway a lot.
@@TheGreystoneManor I decided to put a 12" tall windshield on mine, it has helped a ton. I'm 5'4" and have a short torso, so it works fine for me, but if you're taller, the wind might still get your face and head. I think I got mine off T-Rex website. There is a 16" tall shield as well. Really easy to install.
@@susanl3136 this is awesome! Thank you so much for the info! I’ll be checking out that windscreen because I’m 5’10” and would love something to break up the wind around my torso
You mentioned you were a big guy... May I ask height and weight? I'm 5'10" and 225. And for me the suspension jars me pretty hard. I upped the preload a couple notches, but I don't want it to be too stiff, since my wife is 100 pounds less. Where do you have yours set? I wouldn't mind upgrading the suspension to accommodate my weight , but don't want to do that if it won't be appropriate for her. So I might try a seat cushion of some sort to take the edge of a bit. Do bad roads jar you pretty bad? Otherwise I love the bike! Thanks for any feedback you have!
@jonathandayne I'm 6'3 at 230 the suspension could be better for sure. I just figured I was spoiled from riding dirt bikes my whole life. Haven't really moved my preload more than a noch from stock. I did recently get a seat cover to add a little more cushion for the longer rides, and so far, it's been fantastic. Also, great on cutting down the vibrations. That said, the bumps in the road still hit. I usually just shift my weight to the pegs if I can't avoid a bump outright.
@rajeevwx I would kind of agree. It depends on what you do and who you ride with. If you ride on the highway a lot and / or with people who like to go past cars like they're standing still, then yeah, you'll likely get tired of the eliminator quickly. If you do a lot of riding on long, twisty country roads, then you'll enjoy the eliminator for a lot longer. Personally, I go back and forth on if I want something faster or not. I usually just think I want something faster whenever people with faster bikes blow right past me on the highway, and I'm not going slow either. They'll just be doing like 110-120 😅
@equalfps I like both. Had to go with the eliminator because of my height. Just didn't fit on the rebel. The rebel is an excellent looking bike, but I may be a little bise in favor of the eliminator since it's the one I bought. They're both about on par with power/fule economy. The eliminator might be slightly more efficient, but the difference is negligible. I say go with whichever one you could see yourself riding for years.
