- Gather 'round as I illustrate some of the differences between two of Kawasaki's similar bikes, the Vulcan S (portrayed by my Claire) and the Eliminator (Pearl) and ponder why other reviewers can't seem to wrap their heads around why a light and a middleweight cruiser aren't occupying the same market segment.
This video also features loud birds chirping incessantly and shortly after recording, one showed up and bit my finger, but he was cool.
Yknow what? The only thing seperating this piece of content you just made about these 2 bikes, from a professional youtuber, is your mic and camera. Great info, quick to the point, and you do your research. Thank you, and hopefully you'll keep up the work. 24 subs?! 25 now
One of the very best comparison/review of these two bike I've seen. As a new rider it's the Eliminator for me
I got scared 😔.
I absolutely love my Eliminator! Already 2500 mi since January and it's a real blast to ride!
It's too much power for you.
Top speed of eliminator?
@@35764G In real world riding, my Son has gotten his to a 100 mph max he's 210lbs. He said there may be a little more there under the right conditions.
Thanks for doing this. I was up in the air as to which one. Looks like the eliminator it is.
Once the Eliminator has been out a while longer, I'd expect some pretty sweet mods for it will be on the market. One thing I didn't mention in the vid is that the Elimmie can get a slip on exhaust, and KSpeed Japan makes one that sounds sick!
Anyways, I hope you really enjoy yours, and be safe!
I have the k-speed exhaust and levers on my eliminator. It sounds fantastic. Just loud enough without being annoying
I love both. I tried several Vulcans with different ergo configurations. It's incredible the difference between them. A wrong setup can make you hate or love the motorcycle. I'm going for the Eliminator SE, which is more nervous, has fewer taxes, and theoretically less consumption. I live in the city, and the manoeuvrability of the Eliminator is excellent on tiny roads (I also tried it on the highway, and it responded great. The Vulcan's higher power and stability provide a different experience, but the Eliminator also performs as a bigger bike). The weight-to-horse ratio is lovely, and I love the classic look. It's a cruiser ninja. A sports bike with a cruiser look! It puts a smile on your face, but a better exhaust pipe could make you smile even more ;)
The stock tires on the Eliminator are also closer to a sportbike
I was considering both, but ended up going for the eliminator. I love the way it looks and handles.
Just bought an eliminator. Love it!!!
Me too 30 days ago just did my first payment on it , love the bike.
I personally. Love my 2019 vulcan s on the highway. Much better than my Yamaha MT07. It's light, agile, fast enough, and comfort after you get use to it. It's my daily driver, for work
One thing I see a lot of folks overlook when talking bikess is the power to weight ratio [horsepower ÷ weight]. And between the Eliminator and the Vulcan S... yes, the Vulcan has a much larger displacement and more horsepower, but it's also a hundred pounds heavier. Their power to weight ratio is extremely close and actually favors the Eliminator.
4000 miles on the Eliminator. Rear carrier and a tail bag are a must
They need to shove the engine from the Z900 or Z1000 into a cruiser chassis FAST. The XDiavel is sitting alone in the sport cruiser category. I like the 650s but it needs a little more power
That would be an amazing bike. To be fair there is the Z900RS that’s more matched to the XDiavel, as I don’t see that Ducati really having any traditional cruiser characteristics.
This is the best review video I've seen in a long time. You pointed out things very clear and understandable so even a guy like me could comprehend it. 😂
Great review. We had a Vulcan 650 me and my wife for several years and we like the styling actually of the Eliminator better but thought it would be a step down from the Vulcan for my wife as her bike.
Excellent review. Keep it up!
"Sitting relaxed does not make you relaxed" :)
Between those two I'd go with the SV650 😊
Back in November when i was looking at gettung a new bike i debated between the Vulcan S and the Eliminator. Went with the Eliminator because of of kighter weight making it more agile... i do a lotmof urban riding. And bevause of the mid controls....going down the road feet first feels off to me and the mid controls mean i can actually post when i see a bump instesd of taking all on the tail bone.
And honestly, most of us wont even approach the limits of the Eliminator and it's less expensive
Very interesting Review , thanks!
I actually hate the digital gauges. Especially the digital tachometers. Maybe it’s just because I’m old but I like the analog style gauges and well I don’t mind having a digital display to tell me roughly how much fuel I have left because we all know it’s a best guess scenario regardless whether it is analog or digital, I don’t need connectivity to an app of any kind. I I guess I just want less tech on my bikes.
I don’t have a problem with mine either personally, I just felt it needed a mention, cause being “feature rich” and all-digital-everything is the way the industry is going. You’re right though it is nice to have the option that isn’t.
I’m 5’8”, 60 y/o small frame 145 lbs. I have a 2013 V-Strom 650, but feel it is too too heavy and tall. Impossible to manually move it around, and I can’t even get it onto the center stand to clean/lube the chain. I’m seriously considering an Eliminator.
An eliminator user since sept 2023. Until this 2024 vulcan s with light brown gloss came out. Im itching to get that one too . Plus i wanna try the riding position as it is what cruisers should be..
..still hoping to get extra cash for that hehe
Easy. I choose the Kawi Vulcaminator ZXS 😂
Eliminator I like, but I think than can buy a Honda Rebel 500cc,
the Vulcan is a nice Bike
451 vs 471 ...not enough difference to matter .
How does the seat come off the eliminator and is there any under seat storage?
The Eliminator has a keyhole on the low side, turn it and the seat latches at the front and hinges at the rear. Underseat seat storage is just about nonexistent but there is a helmet hook under the seat for convenience.
For those considering the Eliminator, remeber this is the first year for it. So there arent as many accessories for it. But Webike in Japan is your friend for that for now.
How much you can adjust Eliminator's mirrors? I can't remember whose review it was,but in his video this dude saying he couldn't see well behind and all he could see was his shoulders.
Edit: Thanks for all the answers. Didn't end up buying Eliminator. No, the mirrors weren't the reason.
For me, that's true of literally every motorcycle. Generally, you can't widen mirrors without adding parts. I bought 2in extensions for my XV1700... you just unscrew the mirrors from the stalks, screw in the extensions, then screw the mirrors into the extensions. You can also get bar-end mirrors for most if not all motorcycles.
The stock mirrors on the Eliminator are kind of shit. Even angled al the way out, all i saw was my shoulders. But inexpensive to replace. I went with KiWav Medusa mirrors that cost me $40 new... much better field of vision and a larger viewing surfac and antiglare coating
@@weylins Yeah. I had a test drive couple days ago and the mirrors did bare minimum job for me. If i had bought Eliminator, i would have bought aftermarket ones for sure.
Did you move the turtle ?
Turtle power !
Eliminator should have been 650 up!
I cant wait eliminator
I wonder why I dont hear anything about Turning Radius.... seems important to me, but then I am a bit of a nube....

Jack to much money up in CANADA I feel ...
Go get a BMW
Garbage.
Not with their reliability report from the last couple of years lol😂
