    I bought one exactly like that a couple of weeks ago. I'm still breaking it in, so I can't open it up all the way, but so far I absolutely love it. All my other bikes are Harleys, which suck for commuting. I bought this for commuting and it's perfect. Really, I just love it.

    I rode the 440 Ltd back in the 80s, rode it more bc of the pulled back handlebars. Out of 40yrs riding & 30 street, trail, dual & even maxi scooters the 440 parallel twin is still an all time favorite. Maybe handlebar risers would help this bike bc I don't ride hard on the street anymore.

    The engine is actually stroked. I have the 400cc version, identical in all other ways. It's a good handler, it's fun, nice and punchy starting at 7000rpm, it turns into a ripper at 7500rpm and very well planted suspension but the rear will bounce. Very smooth engine. The induction sound and exhaust is shockingly good, way better then my z400.
    Not great in traffic, or low speeds with passenger.

    I've been riding motorcycles since 1964 and the only time I wear gloves is when it is below 60 degrees. In the summer time you'll find me wearing a "T" shirt and jeans. I've went well over 300,000 miles like this and only had one accident which broke my left leg. So the leather jacket and gloves would not have helped me anyway.

    So I heard you correctly that it has 6 gears? That’s good. And 50 ish horsepower is pretty nice for a “beginner” bike. Not super in love with the looks of it though but most bikes grow on me with time

    Kawasaki didn't "bore it out". The increase in displacement is due to a change in crank to increase the stroke of the piston. This helps increase the torque of the engine. Very nice review.

    • @leeinwis
      @leeinwis 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If you're gonna be technical get it right, it's a increase in stroke and there's increase in HP as well as torque.

    You can buy a good used Harley 883 for $6649. Add another $1000 for dealer crap. Probably good bike, but it doesn't weigh enough for good highway stability, in my opinion, from looking at stats on it.

  • @user-vy4ng4oz5j

    Check your specs, this is NOT a bored 400; it has a 6.8 mm longer stroke for the increase to 451cc. Kawasaki has announced 51 hp (52ps) and 31 lbs-ft torque (42 Nm) in Japan released documents.
