You are the man. I think you said it best in the video, to paraphrase, you will not teach us how to do algebra 2 in a 19 min vid but you hope you will jog the memory of those who have already passed algebra 2. I haven't taken a math course in 11 years and after a 7-8 replays of the video, you reminded me how [ insert proper name of math technique] like it was yesterday. I really appreciate the video. And I think you did it for all the right reasons, to help aspiring electricians.
These videos are an amazing resource for me to visually refresh my algebra after not doing anything to Do with math past basic daily stuff in 13 years. Gonna be taking the test soon and need to lock in 😬thank you!
Taking mine tomorrow. This really helped dig into my memory. I was thinking that the first 15-16 questions were simple but you are right, the remainder of the questions (which was algebra 2) were much more difficult. I am assuming the ones on the test will be even more difficult or possible curve balls. Thanks for the help.
Hi, @ColfaxMath I noticed that you said on question #16 that the answer is -1v3 but the right answer doesn't have 1 only -v3 I'm a bit confused can you explained please for better understanding because I'm suck on math lol
@@ColfaxMathI don’t think I passed I got a 3 out of 9 your video was great it went over what I saw on the test I just took a hit when it came to questions like #19 there was about 6 of them and the timer didn’t do anything but get me more nervous . Hopefully I can do another try and ace it
@@avstin1 Thank you! And nothing crazy, just brush up on your math skills, it’s mainly what they show in this video. And be confident in your abilities when you go and take the test
They offer the paper test still if you are uncomfortable with the computer test, but you have to be rescheduled for a later testing date. ( They do say there is absolutely no penalty for this.) They tell you all this on your test day, not prior. Which is crap because the teacher could just print out the test at the time for anyone.
16. i wrote down a practice question with random numbers and immediately didnt know what to do because none of them was a factor of the same number i did /99+/70-/65 pretend those are factor signs but how would i solve this would they just be all separated

how did it go?
was it similar to it or nah?
Was this similar or more difficult than your test was?
They never answer the how did it go question
Thank you. I’m currently preparing.

Did you make it in bro?
@@obey_giant No, but it's still an option. I'm currently in school for Electrical Engineering.
Can you do some more problems with this same assessment please? A part 3 would be nice
I'll try to get to it, I'm working on a nursing series now, they cover a broad range of math ideas that would be good
Hi, @ColfaxMath I noticed that you said on question #16 that the answer is -1v3 but the right answer doesn't have 1 only -v3 I'm a bit confused can you explained please for better understanding because I'm suck on math lol
There are multiple correct ways to express your answer. Enter them on your calculator to make sure they are equivalent

The problem is is you're rarely ever ever going to need to do any of this by hand or if at all during your time as an electrician

Christ i dont remember this on the last test i took so even if you know these question they take longer than a minute and 30 seconds
You will have the time
That's exactly what I was thinking . If you know how to do it, the answer can be found but it takes more time than I feel like they give you
Well, by streaming through the lessser questions of the test, you’ll of course end up with more time per question on the hard ones.
Study because that test is difficult
