Just wanted to say thanks. Just got my results back and made a 7/9. Average on algebra, above average on reading. I’ve got my interview in a few weeks. Looking forward to it
I see what you did there good sir and I appreciate the heck out of it. This video was relatively short but concise. I take my test soon. I waited until after I got my letter with the test date in the mail to actually start studying and I am extremely grateful I stumbled upon your video. I'll let. you know how I do. Again, thanks for the great content.
Thanks for your patience and teaching, it really help me out, I like to comment something where I work to get promote it; you have to pass a written test; to get a interview; and your time spent on teaching your knowledge it really help us a lot, once again Thank you.
Sorry I am a complete dummy w/Math-for question #2 It asks what would it be compounded in 2 years-did You not calculate for only 1 year above?what am I missing(a brain)
Thanks so much for taking time to answer My questions-for question 4 why is the decimal moved over 2 points again?been so long-appreciate You...(I am 47 hoping to pass My IBEW exam,I failed My HVAC apprenticeship exam)...
Hello good sir, very grateful you've created this set of videos. Perhaps my question is too rudimentary but I'm left with certain questions upon watching you do things such as 6:22 where you convert decimals to percentages. There's not much explanation as to why/how you move over that amount. Why not just move over one step? You do this again at 7:19 where you say "I could just knock that over to get 30". Again, not sure why you're only moving it over once instead of twice like you did before? Lastly, the whole calculator thing. Seeing as how they're not allowed in the test if you could just briefly mention what it would take to solve it without a calculator that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for having made this!
The test I took was mostly y=mx+b problems and evaluation of expressions
Good to know
Did you pass it?

Great to hear
Did you make it in?

Good luck
Take my test in 2 days 🥴
@@kevintran8503 are you in Canada by any chance?
@@kevintran8503 good luck 🤞
how did you do ?
You are not allowed to use a calculator for the test.
Good feedback
I was able to use a calculator provided by the local
@@Thorodicwtf you lucky guy
Fantastic video but just remember that calculators are not allowed while testing... Thanks for the help.
Very good point

Kind words, thank you
Thank you again sir!
Thank you
Love what you do. Thank you. It is very helpful. ;-)
Thank you
Like nicee sharing my frrriends ❤❤
Good
On question #13- how would you know to divide both sides by 3, instead of subtracting both sides 3?
The reverse of multiplication is division. The reverse of addition is subtracting
Sorry I am a complete dummy w/Math-for question #2 It asks what would it be compounded in 2 years-did You not calculate for only 1 year above?what am I missing(a brain)
You find the interest for one year first, than find the interest on that interest for the next year.
Hello-You say You are in Canada-is this very similar to the US IBEW exam? Many Thanks
I'm not in Canada. Yes similar style problems as the IBEW
Thanks so much for taking time to answer My questions-for question 4 why is the decimal moved over 2 points again?been so long-appreciate You...(I am 47 hoping to pass My IBEW exam,I failed My HVAC apprenticeship exam)...
Thank you, you move the decimal over two places when converting from a percent to a decimal. It is the same.as.dividing by 100
Thank you.
Thank you for supporting
Just took my test yesterday the only problems that were on the test were 11,13,14 but a lot harder
Yes, these are only sample problems of what the problems are like. How did you do?
@@ColfaxMath I passed! :)
@@iburrdy Congratulations!
Great video however if you haven't already can you make a video without a calculator.
Yes, good feedback. I should have done that one without a calculator
Nice
Thank you

I'll try and put a video together on converting decimals to fractions and to percentages
is this test based out of ontario?
I'm not sure
You got wrong multiple choice answers for the test you have linked
Ok
I failed, that was not enough time for me, you basically have about 60 seconds to answer each question so try to be a fast test taker
Good advice
The test i took was nothing like this. I hate the way the IBEW tests you.
What was it like?
good vid but we can’t use calculators
Thank you
All of the choices are incorrect for #6 😂
Ok
Can we use the calculator on the test day ?
No calculator exam
I hate how he explained things… need to be more specific.
Sorry to hear it, I'll try and do better
