    I'm really enjoying your journey. Can't you do a more detailed vid on your packing setup? I think in one of the vids you talk about 4 ammo box setup, that really blew my mind.Would love to know how you manage that. Thanks for sharing your journeys, and keep on travelling safely!

      Hi Gerrie! thanks so much for reaching out. We are busy making a setup video, that will show you all of these details. But for now what we did was quite easy.
      Box 1 - Kitchen (pots pans, cutlery etc)
      Box 2 - Pantry (dry food)
      Box 3 - Spares and utilities (4x4 gear, ropes, spare gas can
      Box 4 - Overflow (beers, firelighters and bread pot)

    Hi guys, love your work! We were looking for a gen. 3 Jimny and were considering a number of options. This particular video of yours pushed us is the direction of one we were looking at with the Des Sol suspension kit fitted which we eventually bought. We absolutely love him! We have ended up with a bit of a Jimnothy clone but as they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery😉 Thanks for the great tips and advice and please keep the awesome videos coming 😀

      Thanks Mike! We are so happy we could inspire your adventure with your own awesome Gen 3. We are still so thrilled with Jimnothy and knowing that he's got brother is even more awesome. We'd love to see him in the metal one day. Thanks again for reaching out 😊

    Thanks for the content guys! not sure if it was mentioned, but what year is your Jimny? I am in the market for one and with the new shape its really a hard decision wether or not to wait or go for the gen3. Just wanted to hear your thoughts?

    • @jimnothy_and_friends
      @jimnothy_and_friends  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jonathan, thanks very much. We have the face lifted 2016 gen 3 model. It’s great and suites our needs and budget. The gen4 has a lot of advantages including the traction control and a few little upgrades that make it better. However the gen3 is fantastic and we absolutely love it!

    Hey guys! Great video - thanks! I've just got myself a Jimny 2013 and can't wait to take it on trips across the UK and maybe down to Europe, but I was quite shocked at the fuel consumption! Had to fill up a good 2 or 3 times during a 300 mile journey - tank holds about 35litres? How did you guys tackle that across Africa? Did you take spare jerry cans?

    • @jimnothy_and_friends
      @jimnothy_and_friends  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! It's strange that you had to fill up so often, you should be able to do about 250 miles per tank. In our travels we have averaged that and when we go further we do take 2 jerry's with us, which give us about 200km each (124 miles) - We highly recommend strengthening the roof-rack if you do that though. With the two Jerry's our total range is between 750km and 800km (460 miles) - Do you have the 1.3 litre engine?

      @chrisstuart5080 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm also from the UK (Scotland) I have a 2004 suzuki jimny. I usually get around 250 miles per tank going long-distance sticking between 55 and 60 mph. Also have a roof tent and looking at going somewhere abroad. Great wee cars 💯😅
