Packing our Jimny | Preparing for Mabuasehube
It takes quite a lot to get ready for an overlanding adventure. Especially when you're packing light in a Jimny. Watch as we prepare for our long awaited trip to Mabuasehube in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park with two Jimny's, a Landy and an Amarok.

Dunes on that road not too hectic (don't stress too much). Isuzu 3l crossed those dunes at 15-25km/h fully loaded in the middle of the day (ruts make it tricky to go fast). Traction controll off and low tyre pressure.

The Western Cape and the greater Kruger area would definitely by our recommendation, but we might be a bit biased. We are very blessed to an amazing country, so we'd if you can... all of it 😊 I suppose it depends on your budget and how long you'd like to stay. But most flights come through either Johannesburg or Cape Town, so that would be a good place to start 😊

Thanks for another excellent video. Amazing otter footage (I've never seen one in the Kruger, over multiple trips), and I love that sequence when you return to find the lions after being alerted by a francolin. Have done the same with guinea-fowl/leopard. Much enjoy your understated commentary throughout. A quick question. I'm shortly visiting the Kruger with a friend (travelling from the UK) and have hired a Jimny for the first time. From the footage in your video, I'm a little concerned about the available space behind the two front seats. Our vehicle comes fully equipped with camping gear, plus mattresses, chairs, a fridge, cooking equipment etc. We do not need the camping gear, as we'll be staying in self-catering accommodation in each camp, but the rental company (Treadlite) seem reluctant to remove it. Generally, when on a self-drive safari, I keep my camera gear, plus day pack and other small things, on the back seat where I can easily reach round for it. When the Jimmy is fully laden, will this still be possible? I notice also that when fully laden, your were unable to see out of the back windows and rear windscreen. Did you find this inhibiting? I'd be very grateful for your thoughts.

Really great video, Jimnoty and Friends; For us it is timely as we prepare for a visit this May 2023 and will stay at Lower Sabie and Berg En Dal; last time (2018) we stayed at Skukuza, Satara and Crocodile Bridge; Route 100 Satara was where we saw the first and most lions. Never got to see a Leopard, though. Hope to be lucky this time around. Your video was great because of the right amount of time you left an animal on the screen, the many sightings and great music, giving it a nice relaxed rhythm. Thank you/very well done.
