Wow you've done it again, you seem to have a knack of finding low mileage cars with full history ! The other impressive thing is, you don't flinch from spending money where necessary, this is the real reason you never appear to have any trouble selling your stock. Many other TH-cam dealers should learn from your example , a new clutch, a service, paint correction and a full valet, blimey, how many others offer that degree of service, particularly at this price point. Well done, keep up the good work.
Top job Johnny. Those things hold their price on the back of the newer must have model. I would certainly have confidence buying a vehicle from yourself. Keep them coming 👍
Cheers Darren! I don’t think this one will hang around for long. It’s a very genuine example with a very clean bill of health so I’m sure someone will have to have it!
Nice job, i bought one a few years ago and when i went to wash it i took the spare wheel off and i could have grown a crop of spuds there, it looked like the wheel had never been off when they washed it, im really surprised with all the work you put in doing a good job, i didn't see you remove the spare when you washed it, maybe you didn't record that, but anyway a good job
I can see how if left unchecked rot could be an issue. I guess the key to buying a good one is finding one that’s been totally gone through (like this one!)
In Australia these Suzuki Jimnys are extremely popular now l saw one of this generation sell for aud $24000 and when they were brand new they were aud$24000 how's that for zero depreciation because second hand they are worth more than they are brand new that is the recent generation because there is a waiting list in fact Suzuki sent 1000 Jimnys to Mexico and they sold out in 2 minutes looks like they are so popular all over the world except for North America our gain there loss and our son has a Suzuki Jimny and l drove it once didn't have much power l stick with our Baleno and my 1997 Toyota Hilux l only buy good reliable vehicles
Very cool, i always learn something from your videos, the unknowns and problem solving on projects like this make for an interesting and entertaining watch
Great to have you along! You’ll find loads of videos to catch up with and a fresh one weekly! Enjoy & I look forward to catching up with you in the comments section!
Would love one of these one day, would be interesting to see a Panda 4x4 on the channel at some point just to see how the two compare for value and utility, as I've always been interested in those too. Quick question: I noticed a fair bit of bass and consequently distortion coming through on the mic when you were shutting doors, moving the seats back etc. Could be worth looking into if you could dampen it with mic filters. Great video as always
A panda 4x4 might be an interesting vehicle. I’d imagine there would be a buyer for one where I’m located as small 4x4s do well! Re the microphone, sometimes it’s great, sometimes it picks up far too much noise…I’m certainly not a tech expert so I’m sure it’s user error!
I'd love to have one of these, sadly anywhere near London it would probably get stolen within a couple of days unless you fitted a decent alarm to it. Very desirable little cars wherever you go in the world. Good luck with it, looking forward to the videos.
This one was surprisingly good, it was only that body mount that required attention. Everything else was a simple clean up, protect and Gravitex! Lovely job!
Any chance of maybe doing one of your 5 minute fixes on how to do a repair with the airbrush please? What airbrush you use, what paint you use etc. Been looking at getting one for a while for smart repairs but not sure which airbrush or paint to use . Keep up the good work👍
It’s the same old formula…find a low mileage, well serviced example & don’t skimp on giving it the things it needs and then go a few steps further to make it into the best example it can be!
@@JohnnyGetsCash it's a great formula & I cannot fault your levels of attention to detail. I'm always impressed with how you turn around cars & make them look as good as they can.
I love a good car flipping video, you're not frugal either, no scrimping and no penny pinching. This is why I like your channel, if you can fix it you do, but if it needs as in this case a new clutch out it went and a new clutch was fitted. Again I think whatever price you put on it you will get, it was a good car and now it's a better car. Please feel free to do as many videos like this as you want, I will like and comment on them all. Did you sell the rover? Did you get a good price? 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks very much! As I always say, if a job is worth doing - do it right! I wouldn’t be comfortable selling a car that I myself wouldn’t buy so that’s why I go the extra mile on these things! Yes, the MG has now sold and gone off to its new home so there will be an update video on that soon!
I recognise the reg on that... this might have been one I went to look at that before I bought my dirt cheap 2006 model 😂 Mine put the engine light on because of the EGR the other day... potentially caused by putting E10 in it (I filled mine up on E10 when I bought it and it sooted the spark plugs and clogged the EGR, they need to run on E5!!)
I bought this one in the trade so I couldn’t tell you if it had been offered privately before hand. This one really needed to come through the hands of someone like me to ensure it got back to its best before going off to a private owner again 👍
Thank you! She’s certainly a beauty, but I want those who deal with me to feel like they’ve had a great deal so I’ll be as realistic as possible on the sale price & everyone’s a winner!
I just bought 2004 with only 45k on the odometer. It's great for 4x4, but wow is it slow! I almost suspect something's wrong. Really has a hard time getting up any incline on faster roads. Not great mileage ether, about 25mpg.
It’s on marketplace at the moment however if you’d like more information you can contact me through my instagram account or by email using johnny@johnnygetscash.com 👍
I can’t reveal the exact amount until it has sold, but I will say that I paid strong money for this one. Probably over book value to be honest and I’ve spent a fair amount on it but I wouldn’t be happy selling a vehicle that isn’t totally right and the sort of thing that I would buy myself so sometimes that means going above and beyond in terms of spend. If it’s worth doing - do it right!
How much would you have priced this if it were an automatic? The used market for Jimnys is pretty nuts, I got a 2008 auto for £5,500 @70k miles and can't tell if that was crazy :D
If it was in good condition I think you bought it cheap to be honest. 2008 auto are between 7-10k UK. Low mileage. I've been looking at them for more than 6 months. The sweet spot for these are 2006 to 2012. The automatic JB43 is more valuable for sure. Especially in city circles. Mini Range Rover cheaper insurance and Chic.
Loving the vids as always johnny. Youve inspired me to try make some extra money. Ima mechanic by trade and recently picked up a 2014 jaguar xf sportbrake 2.2 for £550 with serious electrical problems. Found the issue washer pipe for the rear washer popped off and killed the bcm. Now its running and im gonna sell it :)
UPDATE: The Jimny has now passed it's MOT and is currently advertised for sale, ready to go to it's new home!
How much did it cost to buy + work & what are you listing it for?
Nice job again. Where do you advertise the cars for sale?
@@stuartbaker9299 I usually advertise on eBay and Facebook marketplace, but also on auto trader for some of my more expensive stock!
@@OliverBulezuik it’s currently listed for £6995 which I think represents good value for an example like this in terms of spec, mileage and condition
Hi has this sold? Can’t seem to find the listing? 😊

Thanks Michael 👍
just picked up a 1998 jb23, looking forward to some restoration
about to buy this exact same spec car as my first car in a couple of days, very excited

I love those little things.
They certainly seem popular where I’m based. Japanese reliability, inherently tough, compact and presentable. A great all round package I’d say!

That’s a shame, it seems that many people just can’t have nice things now due to similar reasons! These are wonderful little things - on, or off road!
Say no to immigration, the crime it brings is not worth it
Equip it with fuel kill switch's it won't get far or have a large doberman live in the backseat 😂
You always do a good job
Thank you. I try my best!
no 1 thing to look for on these is the rust around the sills and engine bay!
