    I love your spring and cotter pin idea and your mounting idea with the bolts. I think I will steal those ideas.

      I have loved this upgrade. I love it holds 25’ of hose OUTSIDE the RV.

      Lol. It was driving me crazy having to store that thing inside. I know you can buy these on line but with insulation underneath I wasn’t finding any good options.

    my only worry is the cotter pins , on the inside getting caught on the sewer pipe.

      I used small rounded head screw/bolts from the inside out with nuts on the outside, so nothing snags the hose.

    I would have done both caps with springs to access the extra hose if ever needed and then there would be no need for the tray.

      yup that would work. My intentions were to try to keep the living side of the RV classy. I thought that seeing the cotter pins from that side would be ugly. But it would be really simple to add
