La voz humana, maravilloso instrumento que en manos de estos maestros de la polifonia dan como resultado estas hermosas piezas musicales, gracias por compartirlas, saludos
The timing of every consonant, beginning and end, is so perfect with this group. It really is like Sixteen (or 21 in this video) minds and voices fused together as one. So impressive and enchanting. The singers control their tone and blend their voices to perfection in every phrase.
The "older mezzo" is Salley Dunkley, a music scholar, and she is also part of ChorWorks workshops held in various cities in the northeast U.S. She is a colleague of Philip Cave, co-founder and former singing member of The Tallis Scholars. Alley sang with them for many years. They are both coming the Richmond, VA in April with Magnificat.
Dum sacrum mysterium cerneret Ioannes, Archangelus Michael tuba cecinit. Ignosce, Domine Deus noster, qui aperis librum et solvis signacula eius. Alleluia.
Yeah, the lack of blend is tough to get past, though it does help you appreciate that each voice is individual and isn't as "perfect" as the cathedrals and over-engineered recordings make them out to be.

Magnificent, Thank You For This Beautiful Gift Of Music 🎶
The Carver gets more and more beautiful with each listen! It never stood out to me until this performance! The Sixteen are amazing!
WONDERFUL
Thank You

Beautifull
I had them visit my school
I count 20.
Simply sublime. These are the gates to the Celestial realms.

Archangelus Michael tuba cecinit.
Ignosce, Domine Deus noster,
qui aperis librum et solvis signacula eius.
Alleluia.
Ce ne fossero! In Italia dove si canta così?
A "bad day" for the Sixteen is still pretty awesome
It's also great to see the older mezzo I usually associate with the Tallis Scholars is still active! She's awesome.
The victory song in my mind if have my life and stay up.
Wechat Smith cj.let him angels am me to come by tonight to
"Not enough vibrato." Comedy gold!
It is not supposed to have vibrato! It has plenty for the period of music. Maybe even too much in places.
@@susanmichelfelder3912 Yes, thank you for explaining my point to me.
Mmmm...I dunno Spem in Alium just didn't do it for me this time.
Agree, they probably combined with some amateur choir
:)))
Isn't she a soprano?
Die Stimmen sind nicht so himmlisch als erwartet.
Seven "experts" did not like it. Perhaps they can sing it better

I'm pretty sure it's day AH not day O
Shocking baritone singing in the first 2 minutes. No attempt to blend by any singer. Best choir in the world? Seriously?
Check the mics. This is not a recording studio.
This is music that should be sung in a live setting so it can blend. Bad choice of buildings. How about a large "live" church!
Yet another group named by someone who is not able to count!?
The voices are getting rather old...
A hesitant performance of the Carver.
Please give us the link to your video which is better thn this
Too much vibrato kills homogeneity.
