I was a 16 year old guitarist when Diary was released and, like you, I learned to play as much of it as I could. I still play and it warms my 54 year old heart to see a young guitarist digging on the genius of Randy Rhoads almost 40 years later. Keep it up, keep playing and keep Randy alive!
Maciej's guitar performance aside, as a professional sound engineer and musician myself, I can see how much time he places into matching Randy's sound. People do not realize the work it takes to match this. Truly brilliant in all respects - sound and performance.
After watching this a few times I am starting to realize this is possibly the best Guitarist Videos to date. The reason you don't see many videos of Randy Rhoads work being performed like Maciej has done here is because very few Guitarist in the World would ever attempt to copy Randy's work. Randy has created Riffs and Melodies that are unmatched to this date, his work has set the Bar and I have yet to see his work beat.
Completely blown away . Thought id never hear anyone who could play these pieces like randy did. You nailed it. This honestly brought tears to my eyes. Incredible

What I was not prepared for however is what I just watched; a completely accurate, and I’m still trying to find out how, but superbly cleanly executed cover that I was glued to the screen for the entire time...I don’t even think I blinked and watched every second of it. From one guitarist to another, I salute you! Very well done. Mr, Rhoads would be proud
Hard to believe it's been over 40 years since his tragic death. Randy was such a shining example of brilliance. Thank you, young man for keeping the memory alive with such incredible renditions of each of his solos. I'm thinking it's the best replication of Randy's music I have seen, which in itself is the ultimate compliment I can bestow on you. Precise, impressive... I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have searched for the real deal since we lost him in 82, and this guy totally nails it. I have heard some good ones and I have friends of mine that play professionally, Phil Demmel one of them and he's a huge Randy fan. But nowhere near this kids skills.@@MaciejStelmach

Trevor Apparently one year later I see your comment and I must say I second that!!! Absolutely awesome work on the guitar !!! Very very well done to the artist and maker of this video 🤙👍🎸🤸♂️
That’s because the outro is, and always has been, a somewhat hidden gem on the album. RR, as did EVH, had a knack for doing that. Great observation of a hugely overlooked fact on an even more overlooked track on, in my opinion, Ozzy’s finest hour.
Interesting fact: Randy didn't have time to complete the solos on DoM. Most of those solos were just "guide tracks" for where a legit solo was supposed to go. They were running out of time to start the next leg of the Blizzard tour and had to send "incomplete" work to the label. I'm sure that bugged the heck out of Randy. Maybe one of the reasons he wanted out?
Yeah, I read that interview, too. Randy said they were solo “outlines” that weren’t actually fleshed out due to time constraints. And it seemed to bum him out, seeing as he was a musical perfectionist. Just imagine how the complete versions would’ve sounded. And Randy wanted out for a lot of reasons, and yeah, maybe that was one of them. Just poor management. Being rushed, being treated like expendable side pieces (when the band started off initially as a “we are all in this together”, only to become all about Ozzy). That… and all the partying Ozzy was doing. Randy wanted no part of it. Complained about it constantly. In fact, Ozzy said Randy’s last words to him were “(With all these drugs), you’re going to kill yourself, you know. One of these days”. Randy was deeply disgusted when Ozzy pissed on the Alamo. He thought it was deeply disrespectful, considering it was hallowed historic ground. And when other members were fired, Randy would try to use his status to argue for them. At one point, it’s said that Randy got so fed up with Ozzy’s bs that he started a coup - getting all the other band members to join in. Basically going on strike. But it was immediately shot down with threats. Another story is that Randy was once thrown out in the snow during winter. Fired. On the spot. And just left, without a warm tour bus, to find his way back home. And I guess he was eventually rehired. Then obviously as everyone knows, Ozzy punched him the day before he died. “You ungrateful little shit, I’m the one who brought you in and made you”. But the biggest thing that pushed Randy over the edge, from what I know, is that Ozzy and Sharon were planning a live Black Sabbath album. And being as Randy hated Black Sabbath, he and Tommy Aldridge felt that they had etched their own personal musical place in already and didn’t need to be covering other band’s material anymore. It was an insult to their musicianship and the integrity of the music they were writing. As a result, Randy threatened to leave and Sharon threatened him with lawsuits, considering he was under contract for one more album. So Randy backed down and agree to do the one extra album and then call it quits. A sad way to treat such a musical genius. A rare guitar gem. But that’s how they treated others, too. Randy’s replacement, Jake E Lee, was also threatened with lawsuits. Lee wrote most of Bark and the Moon and never got his full writing credit. “If you don’t like it, we’ll just replace you.” Ozzy and Sharon are two of the most pathetic and sad aspects of all rock and roll history. I’ve never seen such a greedier, more nasty couple than them. And to this day, I’m not so sure Randy’s death was actually an “accident”, considering all the drama that was going down just prior to the plane crash. Makes you wonder…
@@johnhill762 Yeah. According to Rudy Sarzo, Randy considered it beneath him to have to play someone else's music. I don't disagree with him. On the other hand, he was likely getting paid pretty well and should have just done it. Maybe he'd still be here today. I don't know. Btw, Angus and Malcolm Young were pretty nasty dudes, if you read between the lines. Record label said the singer you have is no good for America. Then, that singer dies mysteriously and another on is ready to go in just a few short weeks. (Just before recording the vocals for the big new album are about to start.)
The musical legacy Randy left in his short life is timeless and magical. I still remember when I first heard Blizzard and forty years later I still bow to the king and still get the same blown away feeling I did then with his masterfully gifted riffs and solos. Your playing is phenomenal and I know St.Rhoads is happy you are keeping his legacy alive. ✝️🎸
These solos are burned into my memory from my repeated listenings of this album over the past several decades, and you cover them so well - great job. His many flaws aside, Ozzy sure could spot real talent and make the most of it.
Wrong. You're saying by default that randy's family wasted their time and so did marshall amplifiers. This sound didn't come from RR's $20,000 equipment. You obviously can't tell a F1 car from a toy car. No RR's amplifier was used in this video. You're obviously deaf.
The final high E bend and beautiful shred at the end of the Tonight outro has always been one of my favorite RR licks. Well played. You did Randy justice with this tribute.

Excellent - a guitarist after my own heart. Helpful tip - at 1:18 in the Flying High solo, those are actually triplets where he starts each lick with the lower note at the 10th fret first, then hammers on to the higher note, and then pulling off again to 10. I always thought that was Randy's most difficult lick - it was fast even by his own standards.
I've been on this sentimental journey with my childhood and this was the most inspiring thing I've come across yet. I still have this album, bought it when it came out and it's still my favorite. At the time, we relied on magazine articles so Randy was somewhat of a legend and a mystery. There was nothing that sounded even close to this .This album really reflected Randy's growth as a guitar great. Such a tragic loss. As Lawrence said, 40 years later, this is very heartwarming to see. You did a great job and it was fun to watch.
i've seen many a player over the last 40 years or so try to play Randy and everyone of them puts in a little bit of their style into the solos, and while that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's also very refreshing to hear someone play them pretty much as Randy had intended. Well done mate. I will remember your name and be keeping an ear out for you in the future. Bravo!!
Great job! I love playing Randy’s solos because you can tell he put a lot of thought into them. He had a perfect balance of soulful and technical playing and you really capture that here.
Wrong josh. Its music by numbers. Lots of guitarist hate you and are refusing to play. You're not going to speak for us. You're not the establishment. You're not taking over. You're not right. You're sick in the head.
Also, your playing is extraordinary and thank you for showing a close up of all the finger movements that helps myself and others to see how it’s done.
I’ve listened to both blizzard and diary so many times I can sing along to every note in every solo. To hear you play them like that, it was beautiful. You don’t just copy the notes you play with a similar passion and feel to the great man Randy. I dang along with every note you played !!!!
Dude, this was really really incredible! It's truly a gift to have all of these solos played PERFECTLY clearly on display. You did a brilliant job with the entire production, thanks for making this!
I learned to play Crazy Train, which for me was a big achievement. I can only imagine the hours you spent learning to do that. Randy was a hell of a player. Not easily followed.
I like that you used a GUITAR that was YOU and not Randy.... Excellent tone on most solos. Fantastic interpretation and feel. To learn a whole album of cover solos that is near album perfect is hard. I gave you thumbs up!!! I will watch more as you post..
Your Tribute to Randy Rhoads was superbly accurate ,clean and respectful and Truly a pleasure watch and listen to. You just gained a fan, Keep up the good work
I found it interesting to find out that George Lynch showed Randy that tapping outro in "Flying High Again" and Randy decided to use it in this song...
Amazing playing brother, the outro solo to Tonight is my all time favorite Randy Rhoads guitar solo.I always picture his soul ascending up into the heavens as the clouds open up and take him home during it. You nailed all of these man!
Mr Stelmach, from a true Randy Rhoads addict, I am so impressed by your blazing fast fingers and your ability to play Randy's guitar solos... It is simply amazing... Thank You Very Much for keeping Randy alive for all of us... I was 14 when Blizzard was released... I was 17 when a young woman (18) I knew had an extra ticket to my very first Rock Concert - Ozzy Osbourne... It was late '83, just a few months after Randy was killed... There were quite a few people at the show that didn't know about the plane crash, and saying things like, "...Who's this guy Jake Lee??...", and, "...Where's Randy Rhoads??..." It was kinda FUKDUP, but they put on a good show, nonetheless... I still remember Ozzy yelling out "...WHAT IS IT YOU WANNA HEAR??..." From my "nosebleed" seat, I stood up and yelled at the TOP of my lungs, "PARANOID!!!" And I swear on all that I hold as RIGHT, Ozzy looked up and pointed in my general direction, and said, "P A R A N O I D I T I S!!!
Thank you! That was amazing! The acoustic part at the end nearly brought out the tears. Was such a beautiful piece of musical genius! Randy could sure touch the soul!
As said below, those of us who are 50-somethings now were teenagers when this came out and Randy was such a force of nature to behold. Those of us who took up the guitar only imagined we could ever play such incredible things and for many of us it is still left in the imagination. It is obvious you have practiced very hard to master these amazing guitar solos. Bravo! I could only ever get to Hendrix and Gilmour with my skills. Maybe Lifeson on a very good day for me. But Randy was a whole different level of skill I could never achieve. Probably it has made them seem even more amazing. And they still sound just as amazing 40 years later.
Thanks Man!! I really needed to see the solo in “Tonight” I wish ozzy would have not faded it right when Randy was shredding. I would love to hear the masters of that shred! I am 56 and O have been playing all my life. My experience is some have it and some don’t. Kid YOU HAVE IT! Keep learning.
Nice job. Randy must be pleased. All of us still appreciating the music he left for us to enjoy. Looking for to you covering the Blizzard of Oz record next.
Wow....just as good as your Blizzard tribute...!! Really loved the ending of this video....the acoustic part , in particular, of Diary Of A Madman is so haunting and beautiful at the same time. Again, great guitar playing!
One of the great gifts Randy had, was allowing his solo's to "breathe"

As Lawrence said, 40 years later, this is very heartwarming to see. You did a great job and it was fun to watch.
Awesome playing! I never jumped on the Van Halen boat, but every time a guitar mag had tabs on a Randy song I snatched it up!
Thanks again!! 😊
i've seen many a player over the last 40 years or so try to play Randy and everyone of them puts in a little bit of their style into the solos, and while that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's also very refreshing to hear someone play them pretty much as Randy had intended. Well done mate. I will remember your name and be keeping an ear out for you in the future. Bravo!!
Thank you so much! 😊
Overwhelming, how is that possible..... Respect
Thank you so much!!! 😊
Great job! I love playing Randy’s solos because you can tell he put a lot of thought into them. He had a perfect balance of soulful and technical playing and you really capture that here.
You're right! Thanks 😊
WOW Back 4 another look see, here see. U R THE BEST.
Dude, this was really really incredible! It's truly a gift to have all of these solos played PERFECTLY clearly on display. You did a brilliant job with the entire production, thanks for making this!
Thank you very much! For a comments like yours - it was worth it! 😊
Deaf and blind.
Show me the $20 000 equipment.
He makes Randy Rhodes proud very proud
I learned to play Crazy Train, which for me was a big achievement. I can only imagine the hours you spent learning to do that. Randy was a hell of a player. Not easily followed.
Congratulations! Oh Randy done a lot of crazy stuff on his albums haha! Thanks for comment 🤗
....just a question...WHO THE F**K would give a thumbs down??....great job young man...carry on!!
Outstanding young man, brought a tear to my eye. Randy was a virtuoso and you done it justice, Bravo.
Amazing work... Randy would be Super-proud!
I like that you used a GUITAR that was YOU and not Randy....
Excellent tone on most solos.
Fantastic interpretation and feel.
To learn a whole album of cover solos that is near album perfect is hard.
I gave you thumbs up!!!
I will watch more as you post..
Thank you so much! 🤩 Check out my Blizzard of Ozz album cover! 😊
We can only imagine what Randy's sound would be like on the 3rd album and his playing. Neither album guitar wise sounds the same.
Outstanding.... 😊❤️🔥
I dug this. Killer vibrato flavor. That little run at 7:28 in S.A.T.O. was delicious and spot on. Thank you.
Oh thanks! 😁
Your Tribute to Randy Rhoads was superbly accurate ,clean and respectful and Truly a pleasure watch and listen to. You just gained a fan, Keep up the good work
Oh thank you very much! 😊
Thanks ^^
Absolutely brilliant. Cheers from Detroit.
Thanks!!! ^^
I haven’t heard the album in a decade or so - have to buy the cd again !
Thank you! That was amazing! The acoustic part at the end nearly brought out the tears. Was such a beautiful piece of musical genius! Randy could sure touch the soul!
Thank you so much 😍
Randy is the best! So articulate
Desde Puerto Rico....Que sonido tan fino y elegante...te felicito.Gracias por intetpretar Randy Rhoads.Saludos
Right! Thank you so much! 😊😊
I don't know who he is, but he is excellent. He would do really good with OZZY . I have no doubt about that !
This is my new favorite channel' my favorite Ozzy Album
This is amazing. The playing goes without saying, but the production with the backing tracks and camera work is just fantastic. Superb!
Simply incredible...thank you!
Listening again to a perfect original Mr Rhoades cover. Randy was light years ahead of his time playing classical notes on the fretboard.
Thanks 🙏 great guitarist.. makes me appreciate Randy..all over again 🤟🏼👍
Thank you so much 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻
Nice job. Randy must be pleased. All of us still appreciating the music he left for us to enjoy. Looking for to you covering the Blizzard of Oz record next.

I watched this over and over. It's so good 💯🤟💪🔥🎸🎶
Wow....just as good as your Blizzard tribute...!! Really loved the ending of this video....the acoustic part , in particular, of Diary Of A Madman is so haunting and beautiful at the same time. Again, great guitar playing!
Thanks Again! 😁🔥😁
Props to the dedication it takes to learn Randy
