As of the Patchlog of the 4.20 Beta Build they have fixed the bug with ships and stations from custom gamestarts are not able to shoot at enemys, I don't know if that is true though. I'll try that out now. Edit: I didn't notice the beta patch got transferred into the official 4.20 patch 2 days ago so, you don't need to play the beta branch for the fix!
One thing I did notice with having all factions set at 0 rep or above: Sales from your stations take forever to gain traction. Minimal conflict = less ships going boom = less ships to replace. The Paranid Civil War was still a thing, but the Xenon totally dried up (although I did get a kick out of seeing a Xenon P on the delivery schedule for a station I was building... and no other ship attacking it while it was queued up at Build Storage to drop off energy cells...). Shoulda tried to have a Xenon wharf build me a ship - but I got bored and restarted with a little more red in my rep list... ;-)
That is an option but it is a 1:1 conversion rate. Using your budget for to buy EMP bomb parts and selling it will give you a 6:1 budget to credit conversion rate, so I highly recommend keeping your starting money to a minimum
I havent messed eith this yet, but i had an old save from years ago which allowed me to start witt 133 Million. I dumped as much as i could into space fly eggs, then set up my space suit as well as craft items, no ship start. After i hitched a ride to Hatikvah's Choice 1 trade station, i used the trader craft table for caviar, emp, bombs, fine meals, first aid, SETA. Gave me about 500 million credits.
Allows you to know your relations before you meet a faction. Honestly kind of a waste of points since you'd already know that during your setup, but it's there for role play reasons

I want to learn the game,but I only like Split, terran, and TEL, and plan to nuke everyone else, but I need a good tutorial. Is there a tutorial in custom start? (Also is the turret issue fixed with new stations on custom start?
Custom start assumes that you've already put a few dozen hours into the game, I can't recommend starting there. The turret bug in the video has been fixed since it was published

You might have missed it, but you can actuall start with more money. The 10 has a slider and if I remember correctly, it goes to 100 mill.

You can begin with a PHQ through custom start and even have the technology that you've already done unlocked at the start of the game!
I have the latest version - and I use the "Creative" variant - with some weird, inexplicable effects

The satellites were placed as a custom start option under known sectors, I'm not good enough to do that by hand 😅
I use Sector Satellites and never went back. All the civilian deployable is stupid and clutters the map.

EMPs give the highest profit ratio but there are others, like the mentioned caviar, that will work too
10 millions is the maximum if you use the slider, but you can actually type 1000 billions
i wish they made this better. it's so limited.... why oh why can't people who make billions not start with billions? this could be so much better...
