I made the elodie in a beautiful floral red rayon with the kimono sleeves and midi length. I was so pleased with my construction, and immediately my mom told me it looked like a dressing gown 😂🤦♀️ admittedly she was not wrong. It felt like such a wasted effort at first but it has made a wonderful house gown especially when I was pregnant.
OMG, such a sad ending for what sounded like a make you were really happy with. However, I can totally see this happening with this pattern! The fabric choice would be crucial to help with this. For my part, shortening the sleeves A LOT saved the piece. It really overpowered me beforehand.

Lovely selections! I agree with you about the peppermint patterns robe jacket, it's unassuming but so versatile! I've made a dressing robe/lounge robe with it out of double gauze and made a cropped outerwear version out a printed canvas with contrast facings/ cuffs and a clasp closure. Making it out of something soft and fluffy like a teddy coat would be so cute too!
I am not sure if it's just that i don't know many people (none) that look like me, but we look so similar. Red hair, green eyes, big (beautiful) lips, bigger arms than most people our size, short, curvy, covered in freckles but very few on our face... We could pass as sisters more than me and my actual sister hahaha Loved your video and will 100% be checking out these patterns :)

I'm browsing patterns to make tops and I just saw that peppermint mag also released a shirt pattern that looks a bit similar to these ones. Have you tried it?
The Belle shirt? No, for me I don’t like how the button placket ends very squarely at the top. It is angled on the patina. Now if you wanted to try the Peppermint, it wouldn’t be so hard to re-draft the top of the collar. I also find the cuffs of the Belle a bit too tall. Also fixable though. I haven’t tried it, but if you do, I’m curious to hear how you find it!

@LaFraiseSews yes!! I will eventually resew it with short sleeves and shorten the length too with a better fabric.
