Was practicing skin the cat the other day when a load of young kids started saying to each other 'Woah, can you do that on the monkey bars!?'. I finally feel accomplished 😂
Yes awesome!
Subscribed! My son got into gymnastics a few years ago and I've been trying to keep up with him. I put some bars in the back yard and think I'll add some more. Love the tips! I saw your handstand/bridge progression video as well and really need to regain a lot of flexibility.
Great to hear!
😮 WOW! Paul this was an awesome 🤩 out in the ☀️
Thanks!
Great teaching. Cool location and equipment.
Thanks, yes we are very lucky
Really helpful and great spot, where in Perth is that? Or is it your personal setup
Great content! For monkey bars movement also doing one hand hangs (or alternatives) also helps. Skin resistance while moving on them for more than 10 moves is something else though 😢.
Yes lots of chalk needed!
Thought I might see some meathooks. You ever try them? I'm trying to invert into them one handed but it still feels like I'm trying to do a one handed front lever pull. And I can't even get into position to hold a reverse meathook. I'm guessing not enough mobility in my spine
Yes I can do them but always pull up sore as my rotation is terrible and I muscle the position. They are much easier to train on rings plus you spin around which is cool :)
Paul I've seen you doing slow muscle ups and I've seen you doing ring muscle ups but I don't remember you doing regular bar muscle ups or high pull ups. You don't practice them at all?
yes I play with dynamic bar muscle ups occasionally, I'm not great at pulling high so need to kip
You seem to have great calisthenics parks where you are, in bristol UK, struggling to find anything decent
Rings are awesome, I always bring a set when visiting the UK. Just need to find a nice tree. We are lucky in Perth with the training locations and weather (growing up in the UK means I don't take it for granted). Saying that I train 99% at home in my garage.
Where about in Perth?....looks suspiciously like Alkimos area....or it South of river?....Awesome tips mate...
