  • 2020 Jeep Gladiator Review 7 Months and over 14,000 miles. We've done so many crazy things with our Jeep Pickup Truck. Some things that have never been done before. GladiatorGang.com
    Some of the things we've done, we towed almost 8,000 pounds about 2,400 miles from Detroit, Michigan to Panama City Beach and back. We've also done a four wheel drive burnout, so all 4 wheels were spinning, pretty cool. We needed the Z Automotive Tazer to be able to engage the lockers at higher speeds.
    We have had our 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon since April 2019, which is one of the very first ones to come from the Jeep Factory in Toledo, Ohio. We cover as much details about the Gladiator Truck as we can without making the video too long and boring. We've dedicated our brand 100% to Jeep Gladiator Content, and we have hundreds of hours of video we are editing. Lots of the video of this Jeep Truck are actually just b-roll and rolling shots etc, but regardless we have tons of content. Most likely we have more Jeep Pickup content than anyone else on the internet. So far we haven't seen anyone top what we've done, and we are just getting started.
    If you're not familiar with the new 2020 Jeep Gladiator Truck, well then this video will give you a lot of information that you'll want to know about. Also, we cover some of the pricing info in another video, showing exactly what you should pay and how to read an invoice. We don't go into exact prices for each model, but that is something we plan on doing so that everyone who plans to buy a new 2020 Jeep Pickup knows what they should be paying.
    The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, Sport, Sport S and Overland all come with the same motor right now, which is the 3.6L V6 Pentastar Engine, which pumps out 285 Horse Power with 260 lb ft torque. Its a good little motor, but in the next video where we cover what we DON'T LIKE ABOUT THE GLADIATOR RUBICON we will explain more. The EcoDiesel Engine will be coming to the Jeep Gladiators in 2021 Model Year, so most likely we will start to see those engines next year. We don't recommend that engine, but we won't go into any details on that right now.
    The Jeep Gladiators all come with Dana 44 front and rear axles, with the heavy duty wide axles being an option with the max towing package. You can run up to 37 inch tires without lifting the Rubicon Gladiator, but at full flex you might have some rubbing. We have BFGoodrich Tires in 35" and 37" and will do full reviews on those compared to the stock tires that come of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon.

There’s a HUGE THREAD on Facebook about why a BED IN A TRUCK is so different that the cargo area of a Jeep Wrangler, because I’ve mentioned I would possibly like to BOB THE BED, and someone keeps saying it’s basically a Wrangler then. So many reasons why an Open Detached Bed is different that an enclosed, sealed cargo area that is part of the vehicles cab. Thanks again for the comment!

      I traded my Ram 1500 for a Jeep Gladiator last week. Its definetely an adjustment. The Ram was more truck than I usually need and maybe too big. The Gladiator is better sized, but its drives different, its a 'Jeep thing' I guess. Too soon to tell if I'll regret the trade or fall in love with the Jeep Gladiator...

      @GladiatorGang  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Chuck, I'm not familiar with the Frontiers, however this is THE BEST AND MOST FUN VEHICLE I've ever owned. Literally have a less than 1 mile commute for work and have almost 15K miles on this thing! Have had a Jeep Truck (Wrangler Conversion) on my dream board for a long time, not realizing it had 40's on it (which makes it look so much better) and also not realizing one day I'd be building a massive social influencing brand around the FACTORY BUILT JEEP TRUCK. Anyway, I'm extremely passionate about this truck, and have been working on this brand for almost 18 months now. And I'm not tired of it one bit, which is a great sign. Can't wait to be a full time Content Creator / Social Influencer. Definitely headed in the right direction, but WAY BEHIND on the video production. Have made quite a few crappy short videos for Instagram, but not nearly enough for TH-cam. HAVE FILMED A MASSIVE AMOUNT THOUGH, so the content is recorded.

    • @GladiatorGang
      @GladiatorGang  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, nothing wrong with copying when you’ve FOUND THE BEST combination there is! Dirty Life Race Wheels are hands down the best looking and best performance wheels you can get for your vehicle. They’re one of the few who have the Dual-Tek Beadlock Technology which allows you to Beadlock Mount or Standard DOT Approved Mount your tires! Also, they have these in other colors. Make sure to check out GladiatorGang.com/DirtyLife for more high resolution pictures and more details about their wheels.
      As far as our tires, we use @BFGoodrich Tires KM3 Mud Terrain Tires, these are 35X12.50R17’s but we also have these same tires in 37X12.50R17’s
      After we run the 37’s we will swap out to the 39” KM3’s and then most likely our final stage will be the 42” BFGoodrich Tires. That’s later in the build series when we finalize the axle swap and most likely do the 6.4L Engine Swap.
      Anyway, thanks for the feedback, we can work with ANY BRAND of tires and wheels we want, and we choose the VERY BEST.
      Let us know if you get them, and by the way, we are partners with dealer for both brands. So we can hook you up with whatever you want along with EXPERT ADVICE on whatever aspect of your build you need. You can always email us or call.

Just later stages of #JEEPKHANA for that to happen. 35’s are a great size tire, but personally they’re just not big enough. Switching to the 37’s soon and then 39’s, and of course final stages will be 42’s. Because you can’t lose with 42’s.

    Looking hard at one of these. Great job. According to the dealer I spoke to last night: No power seats because the vehicle is designed to go through up to 30” of water. That would be a bad thing for seat motors.

    • @GladiatorGang
      @GladiatorGang  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sam Caruso that is correct, because of the ability to go into deep water, the power seat and AIR CONDITIONING OPTIONS is an issue. Just thought it was bizarre to spend over $60K without these options, but it makes sense.
      REMOTE START doesn’t work when the doors are off, which is REALLY ANNOYING because it’s been below freezing temps the last few day here, and I need to be able to unthaw the leather and fresh frost before driving it.
      But I can’t. So I have to go outside, jump in it, start it and leave it running (DOORLESS). Which means anyone could just jump in it and drive away. Which is crazy.
      It poured last night and it was parked in the street DOORLESS, sears and floors are soaked. I parked with the front pointed slightly down hill, therefore the drain plugs didn’t work, had a PUDDLE OF WATER under brake and gas pedals 😆🥶

    What I don't like about the lockable rear seats, is that the bottom seat covers can't be locked for those of us that don't have the removable/lockable storage bin. I keep a lot of stuff under those seats, abs would like to be able to lock the bottom of the seats from being raised. You can barely fit anything behind the rear seats. The only reason I can think of why they made the backs lockable is to protect the BT speaker from being stolen, which many of us don't have.
    Also, buying the trail rail system from MOPAR after purchase is insanely expensive. $900?! Lot of aftermarket websites have it for $300-$350.

    Great informative vid. Thanks. Thinking of a Rubicon Gladiator for my next ride and my use would be a lot like yours so I really appreciate your thoughts. My understanding is that it takes 35s with no mods. That would be a mod I would want to do at time of sale to make the breakover and departure angle a little better and also to get a slightly wider tire as some of my offroading is on the beach. I don’t want to go uber tall with a lift- either keep it stock height and just add the 35s or add them with a 1 or 2 in lift max. I like the height of yours. Did you do a lift for the 35s? If so how much? Thanks and keep the good vids coming.

      Gladiator Gang awesome. Thanks man. Gonna put a pop up tent cab on back (like the GoFast Camper) so I can store my mountain bike inside with it locked, along with a small fridge and probably move the spare up there. Idea is to be able to drive to some trailheads, pop the tent and sleep right there, wake up next day and ride. I do it now but it’s more complicated bc my bike takes up a lot of my way back and even some of the back seat (need to lower one side for it to fit) and my spare takes up a bit too and then I have to set up and tear down my tent. I want it to be simpler. Offroading consists of beach (Assateague, Outer Banks, Delaware) and moderate Appalachian mountain trails in Western Maryland, WV and Western PA and green and blues in some offroad parks in same area. Also need to tow a 6000 lb boat and carry kayaks on top and be my daily. So a lot of requirements. Amazing thing is the truck meets them all. There are not a lot that do. Ford Raptor and Dodge Power Wagon but damn are they huge, and the new Land Rover Defender might work but I have some questions- namely might be too small. I currently have an LR4 with the HD Package- full lockers, low range- that works well for the offroading I do (although I wish I could have gotten smaller wheels to fit a larger sidewall tire- I upgraded to 265/50 Nitto Ridge Grapplers but am stuck with 20s which, of course, are less than ideal. But so far no tears, and I’ve done some pretty rocky trails running about 20 psi. Quite frankly the Gladiator with 35s will have far more capability than I will use- I’m just not into rock crawling or doing black diamond trails- but I love the fact that it fits all my needs and having the extra capability is also nice peace of mind.

      The track record for the EcoDIEsel isn't good at all, there's way too much stuff on the engine to make it emissions friendly which takes a huge toll on your reliability. Also, until this new 3rd generation version is on the road for a few years, NOBODY will know how good of a motor (or bad) it is. Those are 17x9 Dirty Life Race Wheels, they are Dual-Tek wheels, meaning you can standard mount them DOT approved or beadlock them (just need the beadlock rings) but one wheel mounts both ways. There is NO SPACER, this is exactly the way they come.
      No lift, just a stock Rubicon, and those are the 35X12.50R17 BFGoodrich Tires KM3 Mud Terrains.

    I want to get a Gladiator like crazy, but have a hard time justifying it over something like the Ram Rebel with a Hemi. Can get a truck with more power, better/comparable mpg's, more space, and better options as far as inside the cab goes (loaded) for the same price or cheaper. Obviously you can't take the doors and roof off the Rebel and cant climb rocks the same, and then there's that iconic Jeep look! The realist side of me says Rebel, while the kid in me says Gladiator. Did you have any similar thoughts, or were you jeep all the way?

    • @GladiatorGang
      @GladiatorGang  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Have had a couple Rams, Sport Night Edition with Hemi, Big Horn etc. Also have owned 3 or 4 6.2L GM's (Escalades, Denali's Etc).
      It really depends on what you're gonna use it for. Yeah, the Gladiator is pretty small inside, ESPECIALLY COMPARED to a 2019 or 2020 Ram, the new ones are 4 inches bigger in the back seat and the floors are flat now, so they're HUGE.
      BUT, at the end of the day the Gladiator is SO MUCH MORE FUN, removing the doors and top is a blast, and thats one of my favorite things.
      Gas mileage doesn't matter to me, but to some thats a big deal depending on how much they drive.
      Go drive both, right out the pros and cons and then decide. The money ins't that important, its what makes you happy. Spending 60K on a truck is absolutely nuts, but I don't regret it at all.

    • @GladiatorGang
      @GladiatorGang  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nick also, Ram Rebel with Hemi gas mileage isn’t gonna be that much better. Unless you’re gonna run pretty big tires on a Gladiator. You can easily get 16-18 MPG.

      Gladiator Gang Yep for about 5 months now. In my thumbnail, it’s got 3.5 lift on 17 Fuel Zypher Beadlocks Red, and 37s. Will be posting a video on it in the next two weeks.

    Is this truck good to fit an adult in the bag with space ?

      YakkFN I’m 6 foot and fit fine. I’d prefer the seat to go back farther (there’s brackets you can buy for that).
      But the back seats are snug. There’s more room than a Wrangler’s back seats though.
      You really need to go sit in one and see for yourself.
      Today is EXACTLY one year since I bought it and it’s been incredible!

      Gladiator Gang - I hear the seats in these Jeeps are uncomfortable. Not enough support and you tend to adjust yourself a lot. Is that true?

    The frames for all of the Jeep trucks are built in Owensboro Kentucky. The first 30,000 frames are out of factory spec. Meaning out of 30,000 frames no 2 are alike. Tram the frame from one to another and see for your self!!!!

      That’s interesting, not familiar with this aspect of manufacturing. Thanks for the info, you work there?

      Gladiator Gang no I do not work there, I sell and service robotic welding equipment

      Gladiator Gang most of the welding is done by hand and the trunion that clamps the frame in is off. From all the mig welding the frames get over heated and tons of clamping force drives the frame out of conformity. Once powder coated all frames get sent to mobis in Detroit by truck and built very popular truck at 2019 Sema show. All of the builders and customizers have noticed the frame specs are way off. Just another thing to be mindful of when making a 60-70 thousand dollar purchase

      wild wildman well people have claimed ours is probably bent now after jumping off that loading dock LOL. No problems so far, drives straight as an arrow and haven’t had any issues at all.

    Funny windshield tint but you have top off and no sunglasses. You don’t need that tint.
