Great vans, covered 136K miles and only 1 problem, yes the radiator! I replaced mine and not such a great problem if one knows what is required! Loved the video by the way! Remember, opinions are not facts!

My rad just shit itself. Gotta do it. Thanks for the vid.
The engine on mine has been perfect. I regularly service it. Pulls well, great on diesel. Can’t complain at all.

Hi, I i need your advice if you can help.
Just bought 2015 1.6 vivaro and I have coolant problem.
Basically water not circulating i think. and I have cold air flow inside.
    Can it be termostat?
    Water pump?
    EGR?
There is also electric water pump under the engine.
I'm replacing all of this tomorrow.
If it's still problem with coolant circulating can it be gasket under head?

hi do you know where the thermostat is located?

Ive done most of this . Its not that difficult but it requires oil preparation of the bolts to make them easy to remove
And as a first step the bumper cover has to be removed to get clear access

There a big old thing in a plastic housing under inlet manifold nearest the gearbox I believe not a cheap thing to replace either

Just watched your video for help, I managed to chip the corner of the inter-cooler in a car park, on some bricks that i didn't see. Im trying to get the intercooler off, so ive removet the bumper and some bits of trim etc. I got the passenger turbo pipe off, but am struggling with the drivers side one going up. I'm also finding it difficult to remove the intercooler from the bottom of the radiator the two brackets have movement in the bottom of the radiator, but it isnt just popping out like i thought it would, Im assuming that this can be done without removing the whole radiator. Any help is appreciated.

12mins and 4sec you see me remove the intercooler there is a slot to separate it but you do need I believe drop the 2 13mm holding up the rad pop them clips out and it all comes apart like I said in the video there a d##k

@@crankyconrods7417 Thanks for the help, I had to remove the intercooler pipe on the driver's side and pull it down through the engine bay as the clip was a nightmare to remove. All done now, will I need to get the error msgs on the screen reset, or will they go on their own?

OMG these are geat vans if you think this is a hard job you need to change your job there very easy to work on believe me alot easy then other vans & cars I've just done one the other day very simple and quick to change if your doing right i can't believe how rough you are and not using the right tools just ragging the plastics and snapping the bolts just use some lube lol😅 you need to think about changing your trade I'm gob smacked 😮

Lol they are crap vans and always have been. First ones had shit gearboxes and these newer ones are a pain in the tits to do anything to.
Everyone knows you buy a transit or a sprinter cos the French shit ain’t worth it

I work on cars/trucks/vans for a living (30 years) and this job is a total nightmare. The van is was working on was a 7 year old Vivaro that needed the intercooler drained of flood water. Both of the main bolts were yielding (giving up) but just managed to squeeze the intercooler plastic retainers from the rad without removing them. What are the right (correct) tools that we need? Plenty of lube was applied to the threads beforehand because they are captive! What would you suggest Poacher? Total plastic stupidness on any vehicle deems it dust!
