    Just installed mine last night. Have it adjusted 2 turns from the bottom. I think throttle response feels sharper, & it holds boost better, but I need to tweak it a bit to find where I like it.
    Was disappointed that it isn't making much of a sound difference but I just realised you've routed it to a true vacuum source. Would this be what gives the biggest sound difference?

    • @Nickjoenap

    • @Nickjoenap
      @Nickjoenap  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah it recirculates air but it’s also set to be stiffer so that the air isn’t released it just stays in the system and hits the blades of the turbo which makes the flutter noise. the noise exits through the intake so an aftermarket intake makes it louder

    • @Brrrrap
      @Brrrrap 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Did this mod one week back. Re routed the line to my symposer delete as well. Immediately felt better response on boost. Screwed in the DV will hold boost between your shifts and that turbo lag “leash” is shortened. Snappy throttle. Screwed out gives a smoother throttle and some better low rpm intake flutter and purge noise. Not obnoxious or over the top. Love it 🥰

    • @joehuff2292
      @joehuff2292 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the go fast bits on my st , make sure you don't adjust it to make to much flutter or you will loose alot of power. Best thing to do is clean your diverter valve or blow off valve every 2 months. Or do it every oil change. These cars tend to oil the stock turbo way to much.

    Compressor surge isn't actually bad for your turbo, it just increases the amount of time until you can get onto boost after shifting through gear...

    • @kushtrim2915
      @kushtrim2915 ปีที่แล้ว

      sry for my bad english - BUT: it actually is bad for your turbo! Why do you think OEMs install BOV? This "time increase" between shifting is because the compressed air ist still in the system. The compressed air is "discharging", while no boost is required, on the compressor wheel of the Turbo, because the BOV didnt fully open/open enough...This WILL damage your turbo and decreases lifetime...

    • @Azrathios
      @Azrathios ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kushtrim2915 You're wrong. Compressor surge is only detrimental to your turbo when you have surge UNDER LOAD. If you surge with open throttle, you will damage your turbo. If you surge with closed throttle, your turbo is no longer compressing air, and it just chops up the air surging back out the intake. OEM on this car is full diverter, no BOV at all.

    Allowing it to flutter like that will destroy the compressor bearing on the turbo over time I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you don't care. Get the turbosmart plump back recirculating bov. It works just like the factory one recycling to the intake without the noise and is better quality and won't hurt the turbo over time like this will.

    • @Nickjoenap
      @Nickjoenap  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      compressor surge doesn’t really harm the turbo unless it’s under load. i’ve had this for a long time and had no issues. this is adjusted to be stiff enough to not let it flutter under load and only happens in low rpm
