Super helpful video. I struggled little more because the left sode of the window was off the rail and would freely move lmao. Got it all together then i went to roll it up and it was off center. Took off the panel then got it center and working properly.

Hello I have an issue with same model and year, I heard a piece almost sound like it fell all the way down inside my door when I clicked to lower and now my window will not move at all. Luckily it is still high enough to push up and close almost to the seal. I’m just not sure whether to order the regulator or the motor due to there being a price difference before I open up the panel. I would appreciate any help/tips, I found this video very useful and will be using it to start my repair. Thank you
Hi Chris, Thank you for commenting and encouragement. I'm glad you found value in this video for your viewing time. The under $100 regulator is the part I replaced on mine. Unfortunately no one sells just the small plastic part that coils the stainless steel cable that is the actual point of failure but instead you must purchase the entire mechanism. If the motor tries to move the window up and down but can't then it's probably not the issue. I would just buy the regulator.

Hey man whats the diferentes between dorman and ultrapower for parts? Like quality or what do u recommend
Hello, I usually order the least expensive parts. I've found that most are almost identical. Dorman and Ultrapower have the name recognition and if the prices are close I may choose one of them over the cheapest price. In the case of this window mechanism I couldn't justify paying more than three times the price for the Dorman. The only difference that I noticed between the $67 window mechanism and factory was the glass clamps, factory was made from an alloy and the aftermarket was Nylon with metal screw inserts.
@@vbaredHi, got broke my one, started to seek this panels, and found alot of reviews from people that this not original panels breaks from 3 weeks to 6 months. (( There was some people who replaced it several times and it breaks again after awhile because of cheap quiality. Your one still works? cuz Im now scared to buy it😅
@@deanvinchester1817 Hi Dean, Thanks for commenting. Yeah, I haven't had any issues with mine. The only visual differences I found between the original part and the part I used was in a few metal stops and guides on the original that are plastic in the part I used but the point of failure is plastic on both. If it was a trash part I would have made a follow up video or taken the video down. I generally try the cheapest parts first and have yet to be burned by them. Even the original parts most likely are made in the same Chinese factory that makes the aftermarket ones.

I would check plugs at the switch motor and kick panels where those wires enter the car with a multi meter to help you figure out where the issue is.
Hello I have the same car but my window is all the way down and it’s stuck there it won’t up and I don’t know how to pull it up since I can’t remove that metal part you mention without removing the window first any advice? Thank you 🙏🏻
Hello Andres, thank you for commenting. Have you tried removing the motor and manually pulling the window up? You should have enough room with the door panel and outside weather strip removed to get a hold of the top of the window and pull up on it.
Replaced mine and went to put the window up but it's moving slowly. Until about 80% Up then it moves at the normal speed. Same with lowering it goes down about 20% at regular speed then goes slowly the rest of the way down. Any idea what may cause this and the fix?
I would check and make sure that the window track mechanism is properly lubed. My new one came pre-greased, it should be able to move up and down easily without the motor attached to the gear. If it doesn't check to see what the cause of the binding is.

How do I remove the window that is completely down and won't go up because the regulator isn't working?
Hi Lance, Thank you for commenting. The same thing happened to me. I was able to manually pull the window up after removing the drive motor from the mechanism. If the regulator is not working this would be the only way to do it.
