Had E day over a month going on two month now. Is it supposed to hurt when I chew food even when they are glued in. The pain is on all sides of the bottom. It’s like not healing.

      Hi Trisha,
I’m sorry to hear about the discomfort you’re experiencing. It’s not uncommon to have some soreness after getting new dentures, but persistent pain shouldn’t be ignored. Here are a few things you might consider:
      1. Fit Adjustment: Sometimes, dentures need adjustments to fit more comfortably. If you haven’t already, consider visiting your dentist or denture specialist to have them checked.
      2. Healing Time: Healing can vary from person to person. If you’re still healing from extractions, the tissue might be sensitive. Ensure you’re following any post-op care instructions given by your dentist.
      3. Adhesive Use: Make sure you’re using the right amount of adhesive. Too much or too little can cause issues.
      4. Dietary Adjustments: Start with softer foods and gradually introduce harder foods as you adjust. This can sometimes help reduce irritation.
      5. Check for Infections: Ensure there are no signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, or unusual pain. If you suspect any issues, contact your healthcare provider.
It’s essential to keep communicating with your dental professional if the pain persists. Your comfort and health are the priority, so don’t hesitate to reach out to them with your concerns.
Take care and keep us posted on how you’re doing!

I was just told not to ask questions. I was told they would pick the size shape and color of teeth. They got angry and insulted when I asked about tooth brands and base material options. I ewes told to stop watching YT videos and let them do their job. I didn't go back.

      Hi @kylerobinson8913,
Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s essential for patients to feel informed and involved in the decision-making process, especially when it comes to something as personal as dentures. As a dental technician, I believe that patients have the right to know the materials used and have input on the size, shape, and color of their dentures. You’re paying for a product that significantly affects your quality of life, so it’s crucial to ask questions and understand what you’re getting.
If you’re not getting the support you need, it might be worth seeking a provider who values your input and addresses your concerns. Everyone deserves to feel confident and satisfied with their dental care!
Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need further advice.
