Title says 24 colorado. Proceeds to review 23.
I have '23 ZR2 and tow a 6000lb car trailer and have been very impressed with it. Power has not been an issue and I've even found that it handles hills better than the 5.7L Hemi in my previous tow vehicle. Brakes and the brake controller are super strong and the ride is pretty good because I use a weight distributing hitch. Overall I've been very happy with my new tow rig.
"No LEDs" - That makes me happy. That means if a bulb goes out, I can... REPLACE THE BULB! OMG!
Nick, When does Scott get added to the lineup of channel hosts? 🤔
Great review. Thanks for catching the missing rear center arm rest. Inexcusable for Chevy to charge $40K+ on a truck that does not have that.
The title does say 2024 and the video shows 2023, however they are essentially the same. I just bought the same truck, only 2024. It sounds as though everything is the same. So far I like the truck a lot. The interior isn't fancy, but then I'm not a fancy kinda guy! It works for me. It has most of the options I want. LED's are by far the best for lighting, but this has halogens. I will be changing that out and it's easy to do. While the TB does have a tilt steering wheel, the telescopic option would sure be nice!!!!!!
I like aesthetics and one of the things that bothered me when I got my Trail Boss is the fact that everything on the trim and the wheels were blacked out, but the COLORADO emblems were chrome. I didn't like it. And GM knew that there would be people like me that wouldn't like it so they went ahead and made black lettering as an option. I bought them! They really do look better. The other thing that I did was I bought the black CHEVROLET lettering for the tailgate. Game changer in my opinion. Got the front door windows tinted today as well as a 'brow' on the windshield(I stayed legal)!!! Looks AWESOME!!!! Nerf bars and a tonneau cover to come shortly.
So far I like my truck. I haven't towed anything yet but I am finding that my mileage is best between 60-70mph, depending on the wind. On the highway I am seeing 18 into a strong headwind and up to 22-24 with no wind. A little higher with a tailwind. At 80+ 15-16ish. Interstate speed here is 80mph.
I have owned a lot of vehicles in my life but I have never received the compliments that I have gotten with this one. Its the same color as in the video. I have had people talk to me at length about the truck and what I like and don't like. I'm thinking my salesman is going to be buying me some adult beverages in the next few months!!!!!!
The "jostling" is not directly related to mid vs full size in this case. Its due to the factory lift, which is a compromise to towing. The NON lifted colorado trucks tow over 1,000lbs more.
Good review. Easy to watch and listen. Car suspension feels hard
Good job Nick (and Scott).
The tacoma is underpowered, and moderately equipped at $45 grand +. The trail boss has a TON more power and features for $41K. In short, it destroys the tacoma in every way.
Good review.
I was considering the TB, but I want something more setup for towing and not so much off roadish. I think since the TB is based off the WT, then I'm better off starting from the ground with a WT and build up from there.
Cheers
Good call, just remember that the WT is standard with the lower end powertrain option that limits legal towing capacity. You’ll have to check for the High Output option box to get the more appropriate towing ability.
WT doesn't have a low range FYI
@@vincentbeale1316 good catch. While some dont need low range it can still be useful to have that transfer case as it allows the vehicle to be flat towed behind an RV. I do not believe the single speed t-case is able to do that.
The TB seems to be a pretty decent option for a competitive price (at least in terms of MSRP).
I wouldn't be going that fast while towing, at most I'd be going 65 and thats if the road was perfectly straight and level. It saves a LOT on fuel and its overall safer for a marginally longer ride.
Outside appearance looks great but the interior turned me off instantly. Looks like cheap hard plastic. Nice work GM.
more comfortable than the new 2024 Tacoma? or old design?
I don’t think they got that one yet
No more driving sports tv for this guy?
Why does this video say 2024 review but it is clearly about the 2023 model.
I agree. There are changes for 2024. The mid-grade engine tune is gone - Trail Boss now gets the TurboMax tune with 430 lb.-ft. of torque. Also, all trims get the full 11" digital gauge cluster.
Why doesn’t Nick just record the interior on his phone rather than an awkward angle with a tripod
Great review.
I especially appreciate him acting and talking normally. Unlike some of these douchewad reviewers.
Title says 24 colorado. Proceeds to review 23.😆
How is it in 2024 this pick up truck doesn’t have LED!! Come on, is GM high on something
New Tacoma is turbocharged lol
Do have
So yeah … 2024 review big reviews 23
👍👍👍
Lots of incorrect information in this review. What is the point of this channel anymore? You're already doing another review on the Colorado, no review on the Frontier, Ridgeline, Gladiator, etc. People are counting on this channel to give the opinion on all models to compare.
What information is incorrect?
The crew cab shortbed is the only option for all trims, not just TB. There isn't a mid output with 390 tq option for the engine anymore. The TB is 17 city, 19 highway, not 18/23. That's only in the first five minutes.@@United_Kangaroo1992
Who can afford it tho
