but short pips I think has more deception
but
play with long pips is easier

Yes, LP are made for chopping, most spin reversal and best arc for chops.
SP has different strengths.
When you push your opponent can't really know what spin you put in the ball.
You can also block and counter near the table.
And with good technique your chops are very dangerous.
