    Alex - this is fantastic! some very nice nuanced insights in this video that go a level deeper into the kinetic chain without overcomplicating things! The flailing of the racket was something I was doing naturally but told by coaches not to - to focus on a more controlled finish... interesting to see your take on it with Jannik's technique

    Excellent analysis! However, as a teaching pro for decades, I’m confident most players will end up striking their head with that finish! I do appreciate the looseness!

    Hello Alex, this is my first comment since I watch your videos. In general, your videos are amazing but this one is, for me, the best I have ever seen. I will be playing on next Saterday and I will try your advices, I hope it will help to improve my forehand I am struggelling with since a long time now. Many many thanks for the very good job your are doing with Simon. Sorry for my English that is not my mother tong. Philippe (Belgium)

    Very good video. Good explanation. Easy to undestand and to reproduce (here in my living room in front of the PC)......
    And it will always be so difficult to get anywhere near this technic on the court....

    A bit tricky this one imhb. While the importance of the elbow coming forward applies for both eastern forehands and semi/west forehands hitters, the elbow bent and wheelie finish are all trademarks of players hitting forehands with a semi/western grips only

      you are on point with everything with the elbow pull like Lendl never understood , and exescive rotation allowing relaxation and extension of the arm

    Since I lack the power in my shots, I'll definetly start imitate that move. I'll see what it brinks to me.

      The power its not in the swing. Its in the transfer of the legs. The arms only lets you control the shot. Body and legs put the power.

      @@jonyjd not really, try to stand still while hitting and you will hit 100 mph forehands without effort

    Do you think that wrap around might be tough on the rotator cuff? I ask because a lot of club players will try to imitate pro swings... And they don't have the physical reality .. flexibility in this case to do so.

    I mishit the ball ig because some times my racket twists in my hand

      I would get an overgrip to make the grip thicker and more tacky

    The biggest problem of rec players is not being able to hit the ball cleanly rather than power. This will make them even worse. Thanks!😀

    • @TopTennisTrainingOfficial
      @TopTennisTrainingOfficial  9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      I think doing an early turn for takeback (giving you more time) then extending through contact making the contact point more predictable and finishing the stroke to make the movement fluid will only help hit the ball cleaner and more consistent so I’m gonna have to disagree with you there

    • @watcher687
      @watcher687 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @
      Isn’t that racket inversion on take back too extreme for a rec player? Isn’t an Agassi type forehand more likely to be hit cleanly and consistently?
