Do a race against your gt500. We will se which car is on the faster side. But mabey after you get a little power upgrade for the mustang since it has a little upgraded power. Also, mabey we should do races against different kinds of tesla-cars.

I couldn't care less which one is faster. They are both fast as hell. I am trying to decide which car to get but I'm leaning towards the hellcat for daily driving and comfort.

I was in the convertible version zl1 so doesn’t matter really. But I would choose a hellcat all day

a hellcat is a DRAG car, stiff suspension, harder to turn corners, dont waste it on a hellcat 😐😐
They are not fast as hell. My 19zl1 only went 11.2@127 stock. That's not fast in my book.

@@moneyman1002 that wing will take about 20 mph off at high speeds. The 1LE is not made for top speed at all. It’s made for cornering

The 1LE package actually hurts the acceleration of the camero at high speeds. The wings and aero make alot of down force and air drag.. I would like to see a ZL1 with out the 1le package.
1le is for road course performance. It would DOMINATE on a road course.
Hellcat is more for drag racing.. both are different animals with different build purposes

I think that wing on the back starts to kill the ZL1 at higher speeds. You can see it slow the car down enough for the Hellcat to catch up.
Guess what though the car weighs 600-650 lbs more so it’ evens out lol

It’s an auto and he drove it just fine. He left right when I left. He’s an experienced driver. And he didn’t leave behind me. It’s just the angle of the GoPro. It stretches the camera view.

Everybody know 1le or even Camaros in General dont have a good top end but i think the races go back in forth i mean every time ive seen people unlock the Camaros they Go crazy and same with Hellcats, both hell of a car
But lets Put it this way, the Zl1 runs pretty good against a Hellcat considering the Zl1 is not a straight line car

I dont think its the top end of the hellcat that pulled the camaro in, I mean maybe just because it has more horsepower. I more so feel like its the aero thats holding the camaro back at those speeds.

i’ve raced a challenger hellcat cat fully gutted , on a tire, on e85 tune, 50-150 (on a closed course) and i only lost by a car length in a stock ZL1

that race should be from a stop, the zl1 would smash the hellcat, a real street race. Also the downforce of the wing slows it down, the zl1 is made for a road course.

Roll racing isn’t a legitimate race, especially if the person who’s setting it up is doing all of the counting and jumping during the race! But with almost 70 HP more than the Camaro, the Hellcat better do better than the Camaro, especially on the top end. And though the Dodge did edged out a slight win over the Camaro, it did it but only slightly, and during a roll race. Now from a dead start lineup race, we know who would’ve won those races every time, Camaro all day!

Alot 9f people cry about the zl1 seats not reclining. It is not meant for you to nap in, it's meant to be driven aggressively which requires you sit up and control the car.

I wish you'd build the Cat instead of the GT500. I know the 500 has more potential for overall performance but the charger is just so much more bad ass. Plus it's obvious the Cat gets way more views than the GT500

Usually if it's a still stop race, the camaro wins but barley. If it's a rolling race, the hell cat usually wins. Could be by who's pressing the gas first who knows. Usually a .1 or .2 second difference

The wing on the back of the 1le was killing the top speed on the Camaro. Both are fast as hell, but i feel like the Camaro would’ve had a better top end without the wing

Where are yall with 5 percent on your windshield’s?
The best way to show it? No find a friendly track and race a proper quarter mile. A rolling start will always favor the heavier car, and two you were on public highways no way either driver will ever feel safe to truly show the full power of the vehicle.
The canards and rear wing are what holds the Z back at those 100mph+ speeds. A non-1LE A10 ZL1 would be a more appropriate race. The 1LE, as you mentioned, was built for down force and handling the twisteys of a race track.

One thing.. full race ? What was the distance. You can't run a full race in public roads. Car goes on a flat bed if cops catch you. 1/4 mile ZL wins 1 and Hellcat wins 1. Its been done before. You can't go off of extreme top end. Turn the wheel 20 degrees and the ZL1 gains 2 cars every 5 seconds :)
