Marco never losing sight of melody, while playing some really challenging phrases he still keeps an eye on melodic form. So many other just shred endless techniques and you've forgotten the tube in 2 minutes, but like this piece, that hook is still ringing as I write this. He does have the Satch touch in that respect. I personally think he is the best in his field and will be for a while.

If you want to see some of the most difficult technical world-class playing, watch the video from 4:00-4:25--that's some serious string-skipping, alternate picking, and arpeggio sweeps that take some serious talent and practice. Marco could easily stand on stage with the best guitarists in the world.
