As im listening to this, and going to all the scriptures he referenced, its all really starting to make sense to me now. Looking at it all, and trying to understand it through the lenses of His contemporaries, and not of a 21st century westerner loaded down with many influences and pre-suppositions. It just seems to make sense. Unlike how it used to confuse me like crazy. Thanks again brother Jeff

Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.// 31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation.

One might argue that Nero fit that role, and in many ways he did. However, Christ didn’t destroy him with the breath of His mouth. In fact, Nero died in AD 68, just two years before the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. He was AN Antichrist but not THE Son of Perdition.

I love how Jeff teaches and breaks down scripture. His teachings have ignited in me a desire to dig in deep and learn what the Bible teaches us about the end times in which I believe we are living. I’ve always had one view about how things will wrap up, Jeff certainly has me searching Scripture causing me to think what I have always believed, perhaps, may just be wrong. Thank you Jeff! Thank you for your faithfulness and willingness to be used by God to stand strong, unwavering in the times in which we are living.

It was such a blessing to hear brother Jeff speak so strongly about how we as Christians should shutter and tear our clothes whenever anyone talks about the Temple being rebuilt. These are words not welcomed in much of the church today but the need for them to be spoken is crucial! Let freedom ring!

@@MumzyTube The battle of Armageddon will be at the end of the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ ; which happens as the sixth Angel poured out the vial judgement upon the earth . As the seventh vial is poured out , a great voice out of the temple of heaven , from the throne , saying , it is done . The seven trumpets and the seven vials go together ; which begin with the opening of the seventh seal in Revelation 8 , with the seven trumpets ; And the seven vials in Revelation 16 . In Revelation 10 , after the seventh Angel trumpet is sound , the mystery of God should finish , as he hath declared to his servants the prophets . This will not be completed until the white throne judgement ; which comes after Gog and Magog , in Revelation 20:7-10 . In Revelation 9 ; when the fifth trumpet is sound , a star ( Angel ) open the bottomless pit ; and satan and his demons are released ( The Angel of the bottomless pit is name Abaddon and Apollyon ; which is destruction : Who has not destroyed more than satan ) . The time line of Revelation is not what you have been told ; first John did not write it in 90's A.D. , but before the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. . The mystery of iniquity doth already work , as the apostle Paul quoted in 2 Tessalonians 2:7 . Did you know that the first pope was name Linus ; and he reign from 67 A.D. to 76 A.D. ; three years before the fall of Jerusalem , and approximately one year after the death of Paul . Jesus Christ returns to setup his kingdom on this earth at the opening of the sixth seal in Revelation 6 , Jesus collects the saints ( 144,000 ) in Revelation 7:1-8 ; these will rule with him at his kingdom ; before the earth is hurt , or destroyed at the seventh trumpet in Revelation 10 ; or seventh vial judgement in Revelation 16 . In Revelation 7 9-17 , this is after the white throne judgement , at the Father's kingdom ; because God ( Father ) and the Lamb are present ; which will not happen until the Father brings downs new Jerusalem in Revelation 21 ( Please read Revelation 7:9-17 closely , and you will see what I am talking about ) . At the end of Revelation 10 , John was told that he must prophesy again . In Revelation 11 , this is the temple that was destroyed in 70A.D. , and the two witnesses are Israel ; which will flee at Jesus Christ warning in Matthew 24:15-16 ; Mark 13:14-15 & Luke 21:20-21; which is recorded in history that the Romans army surrounded Judaea in approximately 66 A.D. , but withdrew because of troubles in Rome ( Nero ) . In 70 A.D. , they returned to destroy the temple , Jerusalem , and made the children of Israel desolate ( Daniel 9:26 ) . This prophecy can also be seen in Isaiah 16:1-4 ; about the children of Israel fleeing from the land from the face of the spoiler ( Roman army ) , and protected by the daughters of Moab . Isaiah 16:1-4 & Revelation 12:6,13-17 , pertains to the same time line ; in Revelation 12:13-17, the dragon is satan , the woman is Israel , the time , and times , and half a time is three and a half years : The serpent ( satan ) cast out of his mouth water as a flood ( which is the Roman army ) to destroy the one's which fleed from Judaea at Christ warning ; but the earth ( Moab ) hepled the woman ( Israel ) and fought against the Roman army ; which satan sent against her . In Revelation 12:17 , The dragon ( satan ) was wroth with the woman ( Israel ) for getting away ; and went and made war with the remnant of her seed ( seven churches ) , which keep the commandments of God , and have the testimony of Jesus Christ . Shalom !

So good! 🙌🏻 Love this sermon! The end kind of threw me a bit when he was mentioning evangelical views. There’s bad theology represented in all divisions of the body but that doesn’t mean the whole division supports the bad theology... still hopeful that we will progress to a day when we are able to work together as one body, encouraging one another, doing good work together instead of focusing on divisions. I did like that he mentioned his past and what he understood before more revelation through The Word was given to him. Incredibly good testimony to those walking the same path but not at the same mile marker. Praise be to God for this church and His work in the body through it. 🙌🏻

The position taken in this video is that of Partial or Orthodox Preterism which is the correct view.
All biblical prophecies have been fulfilled in 70 AD except the following:
    1. Resurrection of the dead,
    2. Christ's second coming (bodily) as prophesied by the angel when Christ ascended into heaven (Acts 1: 11),
    3. General Judgment of the world
    4. Restoration of the kingdom of Israel

When I started finally reading the bible and learning about Matthew 24, watching videos and sermons.. I always heard it was for our times. But I never believed in a pre-trib rapture, as that was not something I could see in the bible, so I was post-trib.
And I also could never see the whole literal, “1000 year reign on EARTH” either, so I could never figure that one out.
But Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21.. Whenever I read it, there were always things that seemed odd to me. It always seemed as though it was referring to their day.. I mean why would women who are pregnant and nursing infants, have a problem fleeing?? Can’t they just get in their car and go??
“Women at the mill,” “being beaten in synagogues” and so on..
The way it’s written, always seemed odd.. But, I never heard a different view back then....about 70AD, didn’t know the history, didn’t know much about the old and new covenant at that time.
Until of course I first heard you preach about it.. Then I read it all again, did my research on 70AD and it all started to make so much more sense!!
But the verse that I think really gets you is Matthew 16:28 “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will NOT TASTE DEATH until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
You cannot go around this one, it’s impossible!!
Because of you and your preaching, I started studying the history of it all.. the Roman Empire, the Emperors and and studying the book of Revelation. It all goes together and fits so perfectly.
It has been FASCINATING and I love it!!
Thank you for helping me figure it out and helping me to really look at what the word of God says!

Similar for me...never thought the pre-trib futurist interpretation fit the text well at all but never knew there was any other interpretation until I was in my 40's over a decade ago. Dispensational theology is psyching out the citizens of the Kingdom.

Most of the prophecies by people of Matthew 24 , Mark 13 , and Luke 21 are not correct ; we do not read these chapters in their proper context . Matthew 24 , Mark 13 , and Luke 21 , gives an account of the same conversation between Jesus and his disciples at the Mount of Olives . The disciples asked three questions based on the statement by Christ in Matthew 24:2 , Mark 13:2 , and Luke 21:6 ; about the temple been destroyed . The first question was : 1. When shall these things be ( the destruction of the temple ) , 2. What shall be the sign of thy coming ( his return to the earth to restore Israel and setup his kingdom for 1000 years ) , and 3. the end of the world ( the white throne judgment , which can be explained in Matthew 13:37-40 , " He answered and said unto them , He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man ; The field is the world ; the good seed are the children of the kingdom ; but the tares are the children of the wicked one ; The enemy that sowed them is the devil ; the harvest is the end of the world ; and the reapers are the angels . As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire ; so shall it be in the end of this world " ) . Jesus answered all three questions put to him by the disciples : The first question about wars and famines and pestilences and earthquakes and nations against nations and afflictions and being hated of all nations and many false prophets ; these things were happening in the disciple time , as well as in our time ; most of this was addressed to the disciples of what would happen before the fall of Jerusalem in 70.A.D. ( Acts 5:34-42 ; Acts 11:27-30 ; Acts 16:23-32 ; 2 Timothy 4:9-17 ;2 Peter 2:1-3 ; 2 Corinthians 11:1-15 ; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-9 ( In 2 Thessalonians 2:7 , ' For the mystery of iniquity doth already work : only he who now letteth will let , until he be taken out of the way " ) ; which was starting to happen at Paul's time , because the first pope was called Linus , and he reign from 67 A.D. to 76 A.D. ; beginning before the fall of Jerusalem ; in which many of the one's who started in the truth , fell away ; and many events written in history or earthquakes/vocanoes and wars ) . In verse 6 of Matthew 24 , Jesus Christ said this : Matthew 24:6 , " And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars : see that ye be not troubled : for all these things must come to pass , but the end is not yet " . Was he talking about the end of the temple ? He could not be talking about the sign of his coming , which was the second question ; or was he talking about the end of the world ; which is the white throne judgment ? He could not be talking about the end of the world , because he must reign 1000 years on this earth before the white throne judgment . The end of the temple came when the gospel had been preached in all the world for a witness ; Which the apostle Paul stated in Romans 1:5,8 ; Romans 10:17-18 ; Colossians 1:5-6,23 ( Please read the verses ) . In Matthew 24:15-20 , Jesus warned them to flee Judaea when you see the abomination stand in the holy place , as spoken of by Daniel the prophet : Which can be found in Daniel 9:26 , " And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off , but not for himself : and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary ; and the end thereof shall be with a flood , and unto the end of the war desolations are determined " . By reading history , the Roman armies first surrounded Judaea in approximately 67 A.D. under the General Vespasian , but withdrew because of troubles in Rome ( Nero ) , but returned in 70 A.D. to destroy the temple , city and made the covenant people desolate , under his son , General Titus . All the people who listen to Christ warning left Judaea after the armies withdrew . In Isaiah 16 , the LORD prophesied that the children of Israel would be forced out of their lands , and flee to the wilderness ( Isaiah 16:1-4 , " Send ye the Lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness , unto the mount of the daughter of Zion . For it shall be , that , as a wandering bird cast out of the nest , so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon . Take counsel , execute judgment ; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday ; hide the outcasts ; bewray not him that wandereth . Let mine outcasts dwell with thee , Moab ; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler : for the extortioner is at an end , the spoiler ceaseth , the oppressors are consumed out of the land " ) . In Matthew 24:21 , the great tribulation begin for Israel , the only nation under the covenant of the God of Israel ( Romans 2:11-15 ) ; which means that all ( Israelites and the believing Gentiles ) must keep his laws to be justified . The Gentiles are grafted into the covenant with the believing Israelites ( Romans 11:11-22 ) . If you cannot call the Roman slave trade in 70 A.D. and beyond ; the Arab slave trave ; the Roman inquisition ; trans - Atlantic slave trade ; and all the affliction on this people to this day with hundreds of millions deaths , not great tribulation ; then I would hate to see what you call great tribulation . The tribulation of Israel will continue until Matthew 24:29 ; the second coming of Christ to setup his kingdom , and to restore Israel ( Acts 1:6-11 ) . Jesus Christ answered the second question , of the sign of his coming in Matthew 24:29-31 , Mark 13:24-27 , and Luke 21:25-28 . Christ answered the third question of the end of the world in Matthew 24:32-51 , Mark 13:28-37 , and Luke 21:29-36 . The Son of man will judge the world at the white throne judgment , not the Father . The answer to the question of : " Verily I say unto you , This generation shall not pass , till all these things be fulfilled " . Jesus was talking about the generation of the sons of man , becoming the Sons of God . No flesh and blood can inherit the kingdom of the Father ( 1 Corinthians 15:50 ) ; which will come at the end of the world , or the white throne judgment . In the statement that Christ makes about : Matthew 24:36 , " But of that day and hour knoweth no man , no , not the angels of heaven , but the Father only " ; Jesus was not talking about his return to setup his kingdom for 1000 years , but the answer can be found in verse 35 of Matthew 24 ( Matthew 24:35 , " Heaven and earth shall pass away , but my words shall not pass away " ) ; He was talking about the third question ; the end of the world ( Matthew 25:31-46 ) . Jesus Christ returns in his full glory in Matthew 25:31-46 , to judge the world at the white throne judgement , when all have been changed at the last trumpet ( 1 Corinthians 15:49-54 ) . This earth wil be burn at this time , and another created for the Father's kindgom ( 2 Peter 3:12-13 ; Revelation 21:1-5 ) . Finally , the book of Revelation time line is not what most think it is :Jesus Christ returns to setup is 1000 year reign on the sixth seal in Revelation 6 ; In Revelation 7 , he collect the saints , the 144,000 on his way to rule this earth for 1000 years ( 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 ) ; which is the trumpet of Jubilee in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 , not the seventh or last trumpet in 1 Corinthians 15:52 . In Revelation 7:9-17 , this is the end of white throne judgment ; the one's to enter the Father's kingdom ( notes that God and the Lamb is presence ; which will happen after the Son's reign . Revelation 8-10 , is in the 1000 year reign of Jesus , and notes that Satan is released on the fifth trumpet ; and all mystery is finish at the sound of the seventh trumpet , but John was told to prophesy again ; in which he began in Revalation 11 . Revelation time lines moves all over the place , the key is that the seventh trumpet and seventh vial judgment is the end of the world or time ; which the mystery of God to the prophets will be finish ( Revelation 10:5-7 and Revelation 16:17-21 ) . I know this is a lot to take in ; be as the Bereans ; search the scriptures ; prove all things . Shalom !

      Have you heard of paragraphs?
A huge wall of text is no help to anyone brother. Yes, we’re all Bereans and search the scriptures as you can see from the responses......
How the heck would the disciples know about a 1000 year reign? And “end of the world” is a mistranslation, it should be end of the *age* : aión is the word Jesus uses; He doesn’t use *kósmos* (as in for God so loved the world) ..
Also we Westerners get so hung up on the word “coming” , a search through our Old Testament reveal that Yahweh came in judgement seven times I think....Again, the disciples would have known this was a judgement call not a return on a fluffy white cloud..
Your huge wall of text will take some time to read, but I’m always willing to learn. The person who says they know everything and has everything figured out is dishonest...
Amen and God bless you ♥️🙏🏽

Reguardless to what you have been told , the vision in Revelations was before the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. , not 90 + A.D. , as most say . Did not 2 Peter 3 and Revelation 21:1-5 , give an account of the ending of this world ( the earth will be burned ) , and the creation of a new earth ( for the Father's kingdom ) ? The reign of Jesus Christ on this earth for 1000 years is throughout the scriptures ; when he will restore Israel as a nation ( Ezekiel 20:30-38, Jeremiah 30 , Isaiah 60 , Deutronomy 30 , Isaiah 2 , Micah 4 , Isaiah 66 , Zechariah 14 , Zechariah 8 , etc... ) . Since you know what words Jesus used ; and " the end of the world " is a mistranslation ; are you saying , that you or others know more than the one's who translated the words ? All
wisdom and understanding comes from the God of Israel , and he tells us how it is to be obtained : Psalm 111:10 , " The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom : a good understanding have all they that do his commadments : his praise endureth forever " . Amos 3:7 , " Surely the LORD GOD will do nothing , but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets " . We must read/study his words that he has revealed to his prophets , and pray for understanding . All his secrets , that he wishes us to know , has been revealed to his prophets ; from the beginning of the creation of man , to the creation of the Sons of God . In Revelation 10:7 , " But in the days of the voice of the seven Angel, when he shall begin to sound , the mystery of God should be finished , as he hath declared to his servants the prophets " .The Hebrews at the time of Moses/Isaiah/jeremiah used scrolls ; did they have paragraphs , or punctuation marks ? Shalom !

I thoroughly enjoyed this teaching. I always saw the flaws in my denominational eschatology that I grew up in. I think you did a fantastic job at presenting the facts and filling in the gaps that I had. As a pastor, I do have to say, I could never bring this as my Sunday message. I feel it would be a waist of an opportunity to reach the new person. Yes, eschatology is very interesting, but new Christian's can get off track of what's important. That is, God loves the sinner and wants to bring them to repentance and into His grace. For me, this is a Sunday evening or Wednesday night class. Not a Sunday message. But, that doesn't mean I dont think it is true. I appreciate that I was able to watch it this Thursday morning.

Obey his commandments even the old testament. I recently realized why are we celebrating traditions that are not in the Bible. It's not a heaven or hell issue however how are we glorifying and honoring him correctly? The old testament shows us how to honor him with the feasts and commands. In Acts shows they are still celebrating the feasts. We don't have to be perfect because we were saved through our Messiah but why did we replace his celebrations with our new celebrations. I believe this shows him how much we love him. I asked that same question. He told me to obey him. Just something to think about. God be with you.

I wish he would talk about the end of the "world" whether there will be a great tribulation or not upon the "entire world" in the modern day. Because all i'm left with is making an assumption whether or not there will be one? Or is he saying we just don't know? What does he believe will happen in the future? I understand now the Bible talks about the Revelation as something that happened in the Biblical age, but now it leaves a massive gap for the future. This is a big problem because now people wont just misinterpret the revelation anymore but will instead start making things up, because there is a hole aching to be filled and no proposition given... Does anyone know just what Pastor Jeff Durbin view is on the judgement in the modern age? At least that will stop me from being bothered by it.

Just because a believer sees it in scripture doesn't mean they don't realize it is blasphemy. One can't mis apply a wanting in the wrong light. If a Christian wants it it conveys their belief of it being a sign the Lord is coming soon, not because they agree with or want the Jewish temple sacrifices. Now you may see Eschatology different, but just wanted to leave the point not to misjudge the heart of the believer who may want it. Hope I'm explaining correctly. Lord bless you

Jeff, Preach about the leperus house being the temple and the connection with the Hyssop Branch. the preist has a ceremony to declare a house clean. and so when Jesus sees the temple is still "Leperus" (symbolically I think) He represents the bad stones that must be taken outside the city and destroyed. and the last moment on the cross before he dies, that Hyssop ceremony is preformed declaring him cleansed just like in Psalm 51.

The text in Luke 21:20 says, "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh." The text in Matthew 24 says, "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)". The Luke text is not trying to make it simpler for Gentiles. These are two very different things. The Luke text is talking about the AD 70 destruction of Jerusalem. The Matthew 24 text is talking about the end time/tribulation event. If you read on in Luke 21:24, "And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." So in Luke it tells that there are two times being mentioned - one at AD 70 where the Jewish people were taken captive into all nations, and then when they come back, when the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

The reason why this sort of sermon alarms me is that some are taking it to seed the belief that all God's promises to the Jews are null and void, and have passed to the Church. This is leading to growing antisemitism in the US and really all around the world. Which I am not really surprised at - it is obvious that Satan HATES the Jewish people, and he is going to even spread this hatred in the Church. Please don't be deceived. You cannot live as a true Christian with hate for any people-group. If hate for a person is akin to "thou shalt not kill" what would hate for a people-group be, but genocide? This does not mean that I think this pastor is part of that group, but I've been surprised to find out HOW MUCH some pastors HATE Jews. I couldn't believe it. Growing antisemitism is part of end-time deceptions. I don't believe in the pre-trib rapture at this point (I wish it WAS true, and hope I'm wrong!)

I’m having a hard time coming to a preterist conclusion of Matthew 13. If it isn’t preterist, then how do we distinguish Matthew 13’s “end of the age” with Matthew 24’s “end of the age”? Thanks.

Spirit begets spirit. As born again believers, we are partakers of the divine nature and glorified with our Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ. As new creations in Christ, we are created in same image and likeness as Jesus Christ, allthough Jesus holds preeminence, being God's uniquely begotten son, the sacrificial lamb, the King of kings and Lord of lords. We are create in the same image and likeness of our Father in heaven. God being Light, We are light. God being Love, We are love. We are the shepherd of the sheep. Spirit begets spirit. His Word is spirit and life. His word is truth. We are the way, We are the truth, and We are the life. We are the Kingdom of God. All glory and honor and power and thanksgiving to God our Father and Jesus Christ our savior.
I am not saying we are God the Father, but being redeemed in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, We are one with our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ, being the Sons of Light, having authority to be the Sons of God. The only way this Post-Millennialism works is if the 70th week of Daniel is understood metaphorically. Which is strange since the previous 69 weeks are agreed across the spectrum of eschatological views to be understood literally.

Matt Boettner Amen....exactly. Daniel’s 70th week is when the latter day Jews become the focus....literally. A remnant of eyes will be opened and sadly, many will perish because they will refuse to believe that Yeshua “was” and “is” their long awaited Mashiach. Maranatha!

33:05 Funny how he reads Matt 16: 28 as Jesus “coming in his kingdom”, which is what it says but then he repeats it as Jesus’ “kingdom comes”. It changes the meaning of the text. Plus he leaves out verse 27 which gives the context of verse 28.

The Bible is 100 percent divinely inspired by God. He used over 40 authors from all kinds of backgrounds, over 3500 years, with one common theme, written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. Many problems arise in interpreting Holy scripture when men think they can interpret it better than it interprets itself. Scripture interprets scripture. When in doubt, leave your opinions out. I’m not saying leave your presuppositions out. Dig deep, trust God’s sovereignty over authors, languages and His providence, and pray! Pray for God’s wisdom and Grace to rightly divide the word. Be a Berrean. But don’t be a Preterist.

I appreciate this perspective, makes a lot of sense. It sure if I’m fully sold on it, but I can certainly agree that the Left Behind view is not accurate. I did have some trouble with the end of the message, I’m not sure you can say what you did based on the scriptures since there are lots of passages OT and NT that reference a future temple. I do agree that Jews building it today would be trying to return to the old covenant. However, a lot of gentiles don’t understand that the temple and sacrifices encompasses more than just sin offerings. Paul himself made offerings and vows after Jesus’ ascension so how do you explain that if you think everything related to temple today would be in defiance of God? I’m asking respectfully, not trying to start a fight. Thanks for all you do with teaching and apologetics and saving babies.

Awesome message,Amen to that, but I do have an issue, Paul in Acts 23:6 says that he has hope in the ressurection and in Acts 24:14-16 that he teaches in accord with the law and the prophets that there is going to be a ressurection of the righteous and the wicked, Jesus also talk about ressurection John 5:28-29 the source of Paul and Jesus comes from Daniel 12:1 , which happens after the tribulation, ( time, times, and half a time, 3 1/2 years, Daniel 12:1 ,7 and Mathew 24:21. Witch is at the end of the age, again Jeff never mentions Daniel 12 because it demolishes partial preterism view of a ressurection at the end of the Christian age, some where in the future 2000 years plus and still counting, that was never Paul's hope, Paul's source of ressurection doctrine stems from Daniel 12, and it was to occur at the end of the mosaic age, ( the end of the age). That's when death would be destroyed and swallowed up in victory, 1Corinthians 15, just as Paul had an imminent expectation of the coming of Christ, he also had one of the ressurection, all I'm saying is when studying Mathew 24, Jesus source of His teaching also comes from Daniel 9 and 12, , Jeff never mentions Daniel 12 think not once Daniel 12 in his series, because it teaches ressurection at the end of the age, which happend at the fall and destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 70 AD. I can't see in the bible of a final 3rd coming and a future distant ressurection at the end of the Christian age, the bible teaches the Christian age( the age to come) has no end.

30:17 is not the winnowing fork a reference to the resurrection? Separating the wheat from the chaff (Matt 13: 37-40)? How is that not about to come in John's day but the judgment on Israel was? He also says that "this age" is referring to the Old Covanent age. I agree with that, yet he says the judgement on Jerusalem is not the time of the resurrection but Jesus puts the resurrection at the end of "this age" (Matt 13: 39-40). So is "this age" in Matt 13 not the Old Covanent age?

My problem with the preterist view is that most preterists believe that WE, you and I, are NOW living in the 1000 yr. millennial reign! Well, all I can say is, if this is the millennial kingdom, it appears to be a pretty sad state of affairs, cuz there’s an awful lot of murder, mayhem, greed, evil, sickness, suffering and corruption left to round. And if you’re thinking MAN is gonna fix that himself, then you are seriously deluded and likely to be waiting another 10,000 years - if you’re lucky! - Fallen man CANNOT fix fallen man. Period! - . . . We’re in for a bit of a very rough ride for a while longer, BUT, Messiah Yeshua will return for His people, gather them together at the first resurrection of the dead in Messiah, and we shall all be changed, in the twinkling of an eye from mortal to immortal, corruptible to incorruptible, then, He will deal with the beast kingdoms, and HE will usher in His kingdom to rule and reign, and we with Him! Then the millennial kingdom begins, after which come the second resurrection of the dead and final judgement! And, that, my friends, is the GOOD NEWS! Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven! KEEP THE FAITH! Maranatha! Hallelujah!!
