Gave me tennis elbow and a bad shoulder just watching them lads and one lad moved his legs there as quick as his arms 🤣🤣🤣 great effort from everyone involved. Thanks for sharing Andy 👍
Mr Collison did 775 in one hour in training last time I was in touch. So, I do not see any worrying competition here..... Thanks for posting this Andy, I hope you are well and is the re-pointing job you mentioned complete yet? Watching this video made me hot-foot it to the Royal Oak for a stiff snorter or three... Cheers Andy.👍👍🧱🧱🧱🧱😁🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍻🍻🍷🍷
American lad is definitely the one to watch ,he knows the score like you say with the small corners more time on the line ,AV seen it used by good bricklayers back in the 80s👍
Nice one Andy 👍...do you think you could do your commentary in a Murray Walker style or whispering Ted Lowe ...I'd like to see tricky up against Charlie 🤔
Good luck to the American surprised the amount mess about with 1 1200mm level. All ya need is 2. 600mm or 800mm level either side save time. Shorts no point long level
When will they announce who got through, and where in Warrington is the North heats?I must admit I enjoyed that, your doing a good job with the oppo I have one myself I have no problem with it ,you won't see me wasting my money on an apple, see you next time😊
Good video Andy I noticed u didn’t hold the camera on the old guy with all the snots hanging off his wall for very long 😂 I think the American guy stands a good chance of winning
Thanks mate but ime just to busy at the moment, I've got a big pointing job going on and the builder is waiting for me to finish so he can strike the scaffolding to dig out for the extension. 👍
Ok thanks Andy sorry to contact you like this mate but I don know how to private message or get your email would you consider working with us in the future I’m a general builder bricklayer by trade out of Edmonton do mainly extensions in Hertford be great if I could contact you going forward Cheers Glen
Hi Andy, I hear your retiring this year? old will you be then. Im 60 now, got a 9 year plan , 5 more years full time , Then 4 years ease off. Thanks for all the great videos you put up
Thanks mate, ime 68 now and dont get me wrong ive had a great life and seen a lot but the body is starting to get tired and i need more time to do some things i want to do before i go to that big Building Site in the sky 😁
Fair play mate I'm a trowel me dad packed up at 69 I'm 55 bit life left u r one good man I take my hat of two u time for the pub I got that of you 👍🏴
It's a competition for a bricklayers to lay the wall fastest, it does have stringent rules for plumb level and pointing finish. In my opinion anything that promotes the trade is good.I can tell you now that whoever wins the final won't be far short of 800 bricks in an hour, how about have a go yourself next year you need to lighten up it's just a bit of fun👍
Not much skill in building a straight wall. Competitions I entered in the 70’s was building decorative brickwork, following complicated plans. More examples of Britain going down the pan.
Pathetic ..... that's see how fast we can make money for the man... and make it a composition...... and make other brickies... feel incorporated...... sad this shit
Cheers for mentioning " He's STILL building corners" when you walked past me. At 68 years old, it was a wonder I was STILL standing in that heat 😂😉.
😂👍
There are trowels who can't, and have to rely on profiles and dummy frames.
Our craft is being deskilled.

Yea, i had a bad back watching😁 loads left on the pointing rains not helping.
World record for hoddys stood about watchin 😂😂😂😂
Great vid, The American lad pretty much nailed it while making it look effortless.
American lad is definitely the one to watch ,he knows the score like you say with the small corners more time on the line ,AV seen it used by good bricklayers back in the 80s👍

👍
You should be one of three judges with your knowledge
The geezer in the shorts rushing about like his on speed and more on the floor the yank looks like a decent trowel
My old man always said let the line do the work
Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. Thats the way to speed and consistency. 👍🧱
Good to see you today Andy 👍🏻
You to Tony, was an interesting day i thought, i think the amount of muck they drop should be weighed and points against deducted 😁
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 😂
Good video Andy.
Thanks mate, it was a bit impromptu but turned out ok 👍
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 turned out great .nice catch Andy .
Where I learnt to lay bricks back in 1998-1999 it’s changed a bit since then
It's a competition, I don't think it's that messy daily😁 I fkin hope not anyway.
Nice one Andy 👍...do you think you could do your commentary in a Murray Walker style or whispering Ted Lowe ...I'd like to see tricky up against Charlie 🤔
😁 ive worked with faster bricklayers than Charlie but no one putting themselves up is getting anywhere near him at the moment.
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 👍like your idea of weighing the muck droppings aswell 👍
Charlie would give them a run for there money probably win it .
It's a competition anything goes
To an extent but the finish project has to stand up to scrutiny.
7/10 for effort..... I doubt Collison is shaking in his boots 😂😂😂❤
No ,on them figures it equates to 480 an hour, not enough to threaten him.
Good luck to the American surprised the amount mess about with 1 1200mm level. All ya need is 2. 600mm or 800mm level either side save time. Shorts no point long level
Agreed, I think alot of them lost it a bit with rushing and leaving a mess but it seems the way in comps.
When will they announce who got through, and where in Warrington is the North heats?I must admit I enjoyed that, your doing a good job with the oppo I have one myself I have no problem with it ,you won't see me wasting my money on an apple, see you next time😊
I don't know anything about it Tony maybe look on there Website, I've had two Oppo's ,great phones for the Money 👍
Announce it Friday mate
American lad.
With all the empty joints he has to fill.
Yank was very good but didn’t get the most bricks down
No he had 330 the fastest was 360
Good video Andy I noticed u didn’t hold the camera on the old guy with all the snots hanging off his wall for very long 😂 I think the American guy stands a good chance of winning
Ime to kind lol, yes now he has had a taste of the bricks he is in with a chance.
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 lol u no wat one I’m on about then lol yeah I think he has a good chance
What brand trowel is the yank using
Marshaltown Coke trowel, difficult to find.
Thanks
Just google it Andy seems that you can get them but only seen them with wooden handles
@@huwcutts9620he has a durasoft handle on his one . Probably fitted it himself . I’ve only ever seen them with the wooden handles .
@@brickbybric yeah probably
When I was young only the nerds and and wannabes entered these kind of competitions. Don't think things have changed much with the passing of time 😮
More stuff on floor than wall
Seems the way in these comps.
Hi Andy iv been watching your channel how are you fixed for work mate ? I could do with some jumping on with us next week local to you ?
Would you be interested mate ?

@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 U enjoy mate u old firm no bullshit profile linerats built a corner 🤣
Why work backwards when y right handed
Any bricklayer should be able to work both ways, personally ime right handed but ime quicker backwards.
The amount of muck the American is dropping, you could shovel back up and fill a tub , good technique in fairness
If you watch Spec Mix that's how they do it, but I agree no need for it really.
I was building a wall and pouring a sidewalk at the same time!😂
@@masonry2018 good man fair play
Charlie collision will destroy all of these lads
Don’t be so sure , it’s a heat
@@davidwills6640 No one there today who could beat Charlie trust me.
Smaller wall this time 20 bricks long and less time So on a longer run your get more down
360 was winner which equates to 480 in a hour, Charlie has done high 700s in practice.
I’m tired watching that Andy 🥵🥵🧱🧱👍🏽
Lol, I actually said it today got a bad back watching 😄
Can’t see the point in it, rough, shit pointing, holes in the beds and perps.

Yup good to see Brickie’s getting on and young trowels coming threw. It is fun yes but not for me , speed means nothing if it’s rough as.
Not much skill in building a straight wall. Competitions I entered in the 70’s was building decorative brickwork, following complicated plans. More examples of Britain going down the pan.
I agree, i think it should be a 2 part comp, one part speed then another project with some plumbing points.
