Different problems, scroll wheel, double click, sensor etc. I recall at least 5 instances of them breaking too fast. I think a quality mouse should last at least 3 years of heavy usage. From my experience Logitech and Zowie have been the most durable. G9X was a legendary product for me.
Well, I got really disappointed with dell recently. I got a new Dell latitude for work and it just sucks. So many issues with it (constant crashes, blue screen of death, horrible Skype performance (microphone/sound bugs) and the Dell support just doesn't give me a new one. They have to change out all the different parts which is just annoying.... I wouldn't buy myself a dell for me anymore. At home I'm running a 2012 Macbook Pro 15" and this thing rocks. It's the best laptop I can think of, if I could upgrade the internals. Great keyboard, (Love the travel and feel from the old Macbooks, the new keyboard is horrible), good performance for Photoshop & casual games, it has an HDMI connection, MagSave2 power supply, SD Card slot...What I would change: Heat. That thing gets hot, change the fans, maybe the processor to something that doesn't get as hot. After a long time in usage, the battery is-....well there but effectively it's 4 hours max, so if possible I'd just change it. Of cause if Apple would make an Retro Macbook Pro Retina 2012 that would be my laptop to buy. Just upgraded internals, same externals. I'd be happy with that. (Yes, it's not a gaming machine, you guys know that. For gaming I'm planning to build a Ryzen 7 & RTX 2070s or 2080 (regular, let's see if I get a discount there). So I'm set with that.

My RBS 2017 is going strong after 2 years. I might wait until next year to retire it as a plex server to replace my current Asus Zenbook UX31e which is doing that job now.

Razer just isn't a good laptop to buy in my opinion. I had the 2015 Stealth, it was fine until the warranty ran out. After that nothing but issues have plagued it. The repair options from Razer are basically, buy a new machine. :L

I have an HP laptop from 2009 that, while now obviously not a gaming machine, is still just fine for office suites and web browsing. Oh, and it STILL WORKS after 11 years.

It checks all the marks: - Great build quality - Long battery life - Powerful cpu - Lots of RAM - A plethora of IO - Touchscreen (although not always the greatest quality) - Fingerprint and Win Hello - You can upgrade it easily and most importantly: - They have a nipple

Every razer product breaks after 2 years, it's really not hard to tell they manufacture them to be that way. The only product I've had longer than 2 years is my Kraken headset. 3 years and counting, the cable is getting rugged but that's about it. All of my peripherals are razer btw

Yup - and calling it now - the PWM will fail on this one too. Give it time. All their laptops have PWM issues. They don't change the PWM enough between models and use poor quality PWM that cant stand the heat.

browbass17 same. My oldest is a working HiGrade 330. Then Dell D510. Acer Aspire 8930. HP DV7. HP G6. Then my current HP Omen 17. It should be noted I look after my machine and get over kill so they last for a very long time. I miss my DV7 still!
My ancient laptop died and I replaced it with an Nvidia Shield K1. Haven't had a laptop since, only desktop and shield. The shield is quite alright for travel, though I occasionally miss having a real laptop.
I bought one of the Window 10 RCA Tablets for $80, cut a hold in the back, glued on a heatsink, and it is my back up for when my 2005 Pentium D 840 3.2ghz dual-core, 3gb 533mhz ddr2, GT640 2gb vram desktop randomly decides it doesn't want to work.

He took it for the chassis build quality. Essentially for mechanical and not for electrical build quality. It's like with mac books, mechanically they are great, but from an electrical design standpoint, they're not.

Exactly, the Thinkpad and the HP X360 are good choices he needed to consider. I feel he might have been a little unfair to the LG, sure it bends more that's because its very thin and light. It might have a worse screen, but its easily the most portable because it doesn't agree to the "Dongle Life" like the other competitors. The Dell XPS 13 is also better than he made it out to be. I think Razer got points not so much for its ports/quality, but more so for nostalgia.

I use a thinkpad at work, as much as I love the processing power on the ones that are in my office, I don't like the keyboard that much. I feel like they are too mushy, but it might be because I use a mechanical at home.

i hammer my xps 13 around. exactly the same spec and it hasn't let me down. cant say that about any razer blade i've owned.

Razer just isn't a good laptop to buy in my opinion. I had the 2015 Stealth, it was fine until the warranty ran out. After that nothing but issues have plagued it. The repair options from Razer are basically, buy a new machine. :L

My biggest issue with this video is that you can see linus be pleasantly surprised by the DELL XPS and then once it's revealed he still goes for the razer.

Every razer product breaks after 2 years, it's really not hard to tell they manufacture them to be that way.
The only product I've had longer than 2 years is my Kraken headset. 3 years and counting, the cable is getting rugged but that's about it.

Yup - and calling it now - the PWM will fail on this one too. Give it time. All their laptops have PWM issues. They don't change the PWM enough between models and use poor quality PWM that cant stand the heat.

My ancient laptop died and I replaced it with an Nvidia Shield K1. Haven't had a laptop since, only desktop and shield. The shield is quite alright for travel, though I occasionally miss having a real laptop.
I bought one of the Window 10 RCA Tablets for $80, cut a hold in the back, glued on a heatsink, and it is my back up for when my 2005 Pentium D 840 3.2ghz dual-core, 3gb 533mhz ddr2, GT640 2gb vram desktop randomly decides it doesn't want to work.

He took it for the chassis build quality. Essentially for mechanical and not for electrical build quality. It's like with mac books, mechanically they are great, but from an electrical design standpoint, they're not.

I feel he might have been a little unfair to the LG, sure it bends more that's because its very thin and light. It might have a worse screen, but its easily the most portable because it doesn't agree to the "Dongle Life" like the other competitors.
The Dell XPS 13 is also better than he made it out to be. I think Razer got points not so much for its ports/quality, but more so for nostalgia.

I think bouild quality refers to the casing, not the hardware which seems to be failing after some time

I've started closing my eyes every time linus does that bending test on laptops, also every time someone says "now about build quality..."
but it gives you an idea how cheap it was made
