ONE YEAR AGO? and I missed it! 🙂I've seen Chick Corea perform Mozart in person, he was amazing! I'm just disappointed at the cessation of the split screen technique. Loving this piece as I do, and not being a musician myself, I enjoyed watching their hands and how they traded Mozart's voice between them when both were visible. Sure, their playing is a bit robotic and lacks a certain level of polish, but come on people.. All the notes were there and they stayed together and coordinated really well.
The first movement shows a level of coordination, virtuosity and sheer unadulterated joyous play that is close to impossible for classical musicians to achieve.
@@inotmark mhm sure. Even on the remote chance that what you say is true, you still said something stupid, classical musicians are simply better at these, and that's fine, that's literally their life. the sound of the pianos and recording quality in general isn't helping. VHS doesn't get better with age. But also I think they could have improvised and had more dialogue with each other. Sadly these are the days when we still felt like nothing could be added to Mozart. Even if he would have hated that.
Explain specifically. Have you ever heard a classical piece played by a classical orchestra on classical era instruments? It's far more aggressive than the hyper clean modern sound. Your listening needs improvement.
I agree with you utterly. And people watch this trivial, inconsequential run through of a minor Mozart concerto and think every note being played is a precious jewel.
This is so cool! I didn't know this recording existed and I love it
What a contribution to our jazz loving population. Thank you so much for revealing this.
Two non-conventional pianists that play with great joy 🎹🎹
Sublime, eternal artists ! 🐲
Chick Korea, virtuose na música de teclados e piano. Uma espécie de músico já em extinção!😭😭
Really interesting to see these two together conferring.
Merci pour ce délicieux moment
It's Wonderful ! From Jazz to Classical or from Classical to Jazz ?

Now where are the classical pianists trading improvisations over C jam blues?
Always aim higher

How can polish be criticized with this recording not being what was actually heard? You're not listening deep enough here.

What a godawful performance. I love Keith's recordings of Mozart, absolutely love them, but this was a (mostly) total bomb.
