Yeah, i wouldn't mind seeing a normal living room separate from the kitchen, office area, etc. A couch in the kitchen is a very strane concept, but seems to be a thing in Russia. Kitchen is for eating, a couch should be in a livingroom or family room. Also curious if windows open and if there are balconies for enjoying a breeze in the summer or a cup of coffee on.

You know, I've never seen such amenities in apartment building like they have in Russia. Areas for baby carriages, bikes, a place to wash your pets. Wow. You should see tiny studio flats in London, rent can be £1500 per month then there is the council tax, gas and electric etc. To buy £380,000+ depending on the area. Nice to see one with a seperate bedroom/sleeping area. The building was also very nice. My only complaint would be the combined kitchen/lounge room area was a bit small and there was no seperation between the areas. The oven and microwave was right next to the sofa which is a little odd. I could live here though I just need the seperate sleeping area.

It's completely crazy. An old and outdated apartment style condo, 2bed 2bath, well outside the city, going for $450k, was only $250k in the past, should be more like $200k to be commensurate with average salaries. Salaries have not grown much at all, but house prices through the roof. The US economy is completely out of balance and a total sham, fake economy.

@@АндрейС-ю3м It does sound like a good idea. I think we don't have them for a couple of reasons; because a new apartment complex of this size is not that common in the US , the bottom floor is far too valuable for a hardware store, and in the US most apartments ( or what we would call a condo..Purchased versus rented ) are sold with most of the work complete. In the US it is harder. to get a loan if your house or apartment is not completed.
The closest large city to where I live would be an area in the US state of Virginia that is a suburb of Washington DC. Called Arlington or Rossyln. If that apartment complex was built there, those apartments would cost a fortune. 550k USD to 1200k USD. Too rich for me, lol,

I like leaving shoes in the hallways so as to not track any sort of dirt into the apartment. I’m accustomed to leaving shoes right inside the entrance but it’s not customary in this country. Thanks for the tour of an outstanding home.

I get that small hardware store shown in a couple recently as "System" Market? At least Google tells me the first word is "system". On the video display panel I see "Good Welcome"! Greetings Russell, Wonderful tour and apartment.
A couple of questions came to mind. Are Two-Bedroom apartments available, and is it typical for a rental complex like this, to also sell the units, or is this an exception. I would presume a condo type of arraignment, however, how might this arrangement be different in Russia.

I find this apartment well equipped but rather pokey. A friend of mine had a similar, modern one bedroom apartment in Manhattan, but hers was markedly more spacious. She had a grand piano in her living room with plenty of space to spare. The bedroom offered way more space around the bed with room for a chest of drawers, armchairs and large nightstands.

HOA is a dumb concept, hopefully Russia doesn't have that. I think it's called communal services, but i doubt that's anywhere near the size of an HOA, and can't just go up arbitrarily. That's a typical disease of american greed. Never ever get involved in an HOA

The space in the apt is great, the finishes and decor is terrible. Different shades of white, cream, glossy, woddgrain, black, grey, green, orange, bathroom walls and floors clash, wallpaper or whatever in bedroom doesn’t go with comforter. I could live in the space but not in that decor. It's way too mixed up for me. I need for the colors and finishes to make more sense, don't put glossy white against beige. Love the space with more attention to decorating I could very easily live there comfortably and it's a good deal for that space compared to rentals in my area.
