In this video I'm going to explain what drive train malfunction is and how to actually address it. For this particular car and issue at hand Vanos solenoid is causing an issue and I'll walk you through the process of replacing it.
Vanos solenoid part number 11 36 8 605 123 (Febi used in this video) also good brands are Pierburg and of course Genuine BMW
Oxygen sensor before catalytic converter part number 11 78 7 576 673 (Bosch OEM)

Man you are a wizard at this I got the 300,306,308,code on mine 2007 750li i couldn't figure out what it was i thought it was my transmission my heart dropped but then you come out with this amazing video and information n I was like my guy always saving me THANK YOU AGAIN!!
Wow what a PITA on this engine...Glad I have the N52
I recommend everyone to stay away from n63 engine
Man what a pain it looks to get to 😹, glad its so easy on the n52 haha. I agree on the scan tool, its a must need for proper direction and diagnostic on what to repair otherwise will be chasing the issue like a headless chicken 😹. Great job Tim, keep it up brother 👍🏼
Thank you, yes n52 is great engine in line of latest bmw engines, easy to maintain for sure🙌
@@Zeiten Indeed it is!
Man you make that look easy... I need to replace my vanos as well, they threw a code when I was in cold temperatures after getting my engine rebuilt by Pure Performance of Houston( awesome job) but I will definitely use your vid when I do the car which is an X6M. Thanks for a great vid, job well done.
Happy to help, if follow the instruction it’s not that hard😉 the hardest part is removal and installation of air cooler, those 3 bolts are pain in the butt😁
Most VANOS DTC's are caused by oil condition, so keep atention to service time.
Some engines have check valves and some have the filter on the solenoid itself, some preventive maintenance would be to clean them.

Cleaning doesn’t work long term in most cases, but you are right frequent oil changes prevent this issue most of the time👍
Very cool video as always!
Look who decided to show up😂
Так держать!Ты молодец!Привет из России из города Казань)).Но мне не помогла замена электромагнитных клапанов.(

how to fix dsc code on a 2007 bmw 750, whay coud be the problem?
hey i own a few BMWs and one i really can't figure out is my 335i, fantastic car with low miles, my issue is a crazy dash going nuts.. all the lights come on and my radio blinks off and on then it goes back to normal..any idea??? also my tpms won't work either..
Check alternator might be overcharging, definitely something with voltage supply
@@Zeiten I was hoping maybe a loose wire under the dssh..I just can't agree that's the FRM doing this..all lights, doors,ac,alarm working perfectly.
