In my BMW with the 2.0 N43 engine, the DME showed an error with LOW FUEL PRESSURE. After turning on the ignition, the low pressure pump released a pressure of 5 bar and immediately the pressure dropped to 0.6 bar. After several starting attempts, the engine was able to start, but it had problems with operation and, as you described in the video, there was a combustion error on two cylinders. During live data observation, the low pressure pump maintained 5 bar with the engine running, but the pressure on the high pressure pump remained within the range of 5-10 bar. After revving the engine, the pressure on the hpfp barely reached 110 bar. Ultimately, it turned out that the hpfp pump was leaking and fuel was getting into the oil. It is also worth emphasizing that when replacing the pump, check whether fuel is leaking into the oil, as this may have tragic consequences for the engine. Good video, keep it up. Greetings from Poland. A small note, when unscrewing and screwing on fuel lines, I recommend using brake line wrenches, this reduces the risk of bending/deformation of the fuel line nut and guarantees tightness. And one more note about the first start-up after replacing the pump. You should bleed the system using the procedure available in the low pressure fuel pump module so that the high pressure pump does not run dry. During this procedure, the injectors and electromagnetic valve in hpfp are open and the entire system is bled.
I think I have a bad purge valve and this is the first video that shows how you’d remove that from the throttle body. Gonna try to tackle it. I have big hands so it’s not gonna be easy.
My 330D is needing the entire fuel system replaced. Lpfp, lines, hpfp, filter, tank and injectors. Is there any tips or things to do or not to do before I start this job
Hi Zeiten. I have a problem with mi N55 engine. With 002BEA Error mixture to lean. I have resolved the boost leak and vacuum leak. But the error still shows. Please help me resolve this issue. 🙏🙏🙏
Good afternoon can you please help with this question I have a BMW x5 2008 3.0si e70 I need to replace the engine vacuum pump I want to know if I need to remove all the pulley and timing chain cover because the vacuum pump is located underneath the intake manifold but looks like come with sprocket ⚙️
Yes you’ll need to remove drive belt tensioner and you’ll find rubber cover that covers this sprocket, no need to remove timing covers make sure you don’t drop the chain it will be pain in the butt to fish it out
Hi Zeiten, I'm thinking I have a HPFP issue on my F10 N55 engine. No codes on the DME or EKPS, but I have a crank no start situation. I have compression, spark, ignition pulse, and a functioning LPFP based on my Foxwell NT510 elite scanner testing but I have no fuel going to the cylinders. Spraying starter fluid will temporarily start the engine but it dies out. Are those the signs of a bad HPFP?
@@Zeiten You are the man. Fuel low pressure was at 680 kPa. The setpoint moved while I was turning the engine, but the rail pressure didn't budge at all. Thanks a million.
Boss...I have 07 x3 and have it on 230k and need to upgrade....of course I try to do everything that I can and need your advice which bmw should I go for......heard the newer models are pretty good but mucho money...from 2011-2015 x3 I am told to stay away so...your advise is greatly appreciated Thnx

N55 another excellent video. Thank you keep uploading more on N55
Thank you for watching👍
around 14:20 looks like a big mess and very tight to work in 🤣. crazy bmw engingeering lol. great job Tim
Thank you, it’s actually easier than it looks😉
One of the best channels on TH-cam!!
Thank you, appreciate it🙌
@@Zeiten your welcome
It's nice that the o2 sensors got and upgraded connection, they are identical on my 2012.
Nice video. Thanks for posting. Greetings from the Old Jarhead in WNC
Thank you🙌

So you dont have to code or calibrate the pump after the replacement?
Absolutely not
@@Zeiten thank you brother
Thanks for another great video.
Great video as always!

First of all do a smoke test through valve cover, air leak is somewhere you just need to look closely
@ I have replaced this. Spark plugs, ignition coils, injectors, valve cover. This are brand new.
Doesn’t matter, smoke test it
@ I will do that again. I have made a smoke test.
@ I have 002CF8 Oxygen sensor before catalytic converter: Excess air detected. Second error

@armandohilario not as far as i remember a few torx bit standard bmw tools but don’t think it’s an easy job it is not at all
@@Zeiten if the pump goes bad it will cause vacuum leaks?
@armandohilario not necessarily

On channel page there is a membership tab
What are the symptoms of a bad PCV, can it cause multiple misfires under load as if the high pressure fuel pump is failing?
On n55 usually whistling sound. It goes away if you open oil cap. I haven’t seen pcv causing multiple misfires in n55

Check live data of rail pressure actual/setpoint values

That HPFP is very much smaller than the ones on the N53 and N54 engines, which get 200 bar.

Well there is nothing wrong with f25 x3 as long as you have n55 engine in there so i would look for later models of f25 x3 xdrive35i
@@Zeiten ma man...thank you....when you say latter models from 2016 through 2024.....thnx
@jandraravi9816 if you want something on a cheaper side go for 2015-2017 although i have nothing against 2011-2014 models with n55 engine
@jandraravi9816 2018-2024 would be the latest x3 so those will be pricey and engines in opinion are more reliable in previous generation
@Zeiten Thank you and I will try those....jeep up the good work.
Me number uno today
