Valve cover (Elring) part # 11 12 7 588 412
Eccentric shaft actuator seal (Elring) part # 11 37 7 502 022
If you are replacing valve cover gasket only:
Valve cover gasket set (Elring) part # 11 12 7 588 418
Brake booster pump seal (Elring) part # 11 12 7 507 217

Excellent video , better than FCP euro explanation.
The way those gray connector tabs work is you pull them out and then you push them inwards and pull out. You don’t need the pick tool, just pull the gray tab out, push inwards, not down and pull. Thanks for the video btw.
Pick tool makes it easier and faster, plastic gets stuck sometimes when you just push it so using pick tool is universal 100% success rate thing😁

Terrible idea, fitment is terrible and seals last way less than with proper plastic cover

For the high pressure fuel pump reinstall, do you have to do top dead center ( turn it) to the crank? FCP euro mentions it but was not clear…
No, don’t have to do anything like that
Ok so how is Elring compared to the original BMW OEM valve cover made by German Mayle , how is Elring quality and design compare to the Mayle OEM vale cover as it's designed with special features and materials? Because there's a huge difference in price with Elring being a few hundred dollars cheaper and I don't know if it's made in the motherland Germany or made in China hence the price difference! But if it's high quality as to OEM Meyle than Elring would be a great choice!
can the oil leaking from the valve cover gasket go to the combustion chamber and make a smoky exhaust?
Possible but rare on this engine, usually pcv failure would cause exhaust smoke other causes are possible but inspection is necessary
So I started doing the valve cover replacement and when I pulled out the coil for the spark plug nearest the firewall the well was full of oil. I can't see how the oil got in there. Any ideas?
The gasket on the inner portion of the valve cover is weak or cracked valve cover
Can I use the denso tt iridium spark plugs on my BMW x5 2008 3.0 si
I would either go for bosch or ngk but sure you can if they fit
