South Island of New Zealand in a Suzuki Jimny | Road trip

We recently flew to Wellington from Christchurch to pick up a 2019 Suzuki Jimny Sierra in Jungle Green and bring it home so we can put it to the test for our lifestyle.
We caught the Interislander from Wellington which travels through the sounds with beautiful views of the rugged coastline of the northernmost parts of the South Island of New Zealand, finishing in Picton.
From there we travelled central to St Arnaud, a small town in the Nelson Lakes region and home to the vista that is Lake Rotoiti. After a fantastic stay and two meals we travelled south, stopping in Murchison for a look around and a relaxing lunch at the Commercial Cafe.
Following a quick stop at Maruia falls we headed home to Christchurch because most accommodation spots like hanmer and Maruia Springs were fully booked.
