Awesome video Man really enjoyed it unfortunately it was a bit too short just getting really into it then just realised it finished. Looks like there is some great tracks down in the South Island probably better than what we have up here in the north Island. Must go down there one of these days. Hopefully we get to see some more 4wd videos soon
who was the silly bugger doing the recovery pull off the top of the bullbar,(NEC304)...... naughty naughty, there are the recovery points below, even the factory tie down points will take the strain
That was the calculated risk, it was my call, I was towing. There are no recovery points on this bar, and the ones I sell won't fit with this bar. Using the factory tiedown points is potentially lethal, never an option. The worst thing that could happen when we do it this way is exactly what happened. I'd rather the bumper moved instead of a flying tiedown missile any day of the week.
I would have gone on the tie-down points, I have winched off them before.(using a tirfor..before fitting ARB bar & winch)..on saying that I don't use the 'snatch' type recovery. @@jimnynz1521

@@jimnynz1521Did you get to the hut mate? Hard to believe we used to get a Datsun 120y to within a couple of Ks of the hut 😂 In the 1990s.
