Do love the progression of the Bullseye, in res1 it was a coveted gun that you had to get from a dead chimera, in res2 the us army could supply you one, but just because you were special forces and in res3 a hill billy inside a underground slum can get your Bullseye fixed.

I really miss narratively driven FPS like this. Creative gunplay with exciting and fun scenarios to play through. The last good one we had imo was Titanfall 2.
I used to say back then that this game is like metro but better. Much better combat, enemy variety and a better cinematic experience as well. They should bring this series back.

This game was apart of my childhood. Feels weird but good at the same time to remember what it was like playing a first person shooter with a campaign. Most games now are pretty much multiplayer and online now for the most part.
Agreed, it felt way more grounded and "gritty" since humanity already lost Whereas the first 2 games were about fighting back and winning, the 3rd game was about surviving the aftermath of humanities defeat

Later on they got Haze which was terrible and so many other games after. The PS3 was as memorable as the PS2. What is the PS4 missing now? Gaming today just does not feel the same.

When the Chimera burst the borders of Russia, they burned through the entire Eastern side of the Earth within months, same as they did the western marches. Most of the nations on the Oceana/Asia side fell with little overall resistance as internal conflict ruined their attempts at coordinated defense. Anything that held was simply Seeder'd into oblivion or later scoured from the face of the planet with the same invasion fleet that attacked San Fran in Resistance 2. Presumably most of the ships that attacked San Fran were built in the converted sections of Japan, China, Korea and Vietnam.

Sometimes i'm always imagined what a united front of the Soviets, Japs, Chinks, and some of the western colonies all united against the might of the Chimeras, Especially on the Sea too. But eh, even after getting the novels, there's little information about the Oceania, the Middle Easts, and the African stages.
As much as Resistance 2 turned me off the series, this one was actually decent and more character driven that I appreciated. Loved upgrading the weapons as well.

I reckon a game like this would be best played with headphones on, as you would be able to know if enemies are approaching from the right or left. Although you play a whole lot better than I ever could, I still can't help but notice that small thing.
