Fitting a Water Butt

Susan shows Kathryn how to attach a water butt to a plastic drain pipe. This is a great way to save water for watering your plants in dry weather. It is very important to try and save water as it is going to be a problem in years to come. Using tap water that is drinking quality to water plants is not a good idea, so get connecting.

Argos £20 full kit 100ltr diverter kit is for sq or round down pipe you can use a 25mm flat wood bit for the hole don't really need a drill if you have the strength to turn the wood bit.
a few turns of PTFE plumbers tape on the tap thread will stop it from leaking.
Follow instructions for the diverter kit & away you go.
