Installing A Water Butt To A Small Roof Downpipe | Lunch Break VLOG #10

Installing A Water Butt For Saving Rainwater. I managed to get a really cheap £3 water butt from a jumble trail and today I am attaching it to the downpipe of the small extension of my house.

Your supposed to fit a Rainwater diverter in-line with the drainpipe, As it is when the butt is full of water it has nowhere to go... BQ sell them pretty cheaply......

Hi this water butt is only attached to a small extension roof and very rarely overflows

Thanks for the great video, I'm figuring out what I need to set up our barn with gutters and parts, it's missing most of it's guttering. I have a few water butts that I'll attach to this. Can you tell me what angle elbow it is you have on your pipe? I like this better than a 90 degree one. Thanks!

Hi I used 112.5° bend - it worked well with positioning. Good luck with your project it really saves on the water
