In the process of replacing my swim spa pump (no.1) and discovered that both slice valves are not closing completely . Any advice on what that is ? Is the only solution for fixing it to drain the pool completely ? I was able to put in a 2" pipe gripper plug on on the inflow and outflow lines which enabled me to pull the bad pump without losing all the water from the pool . I usually drain the swim spa once a year to carry out routine maintenance and replace the water. What's the fix for the slice valve ?
Do you know how to keep moisture from pump mine went out after two years cost me 389.00 for a pump factory said they knew of nothing any help would be appreciated thanks in advance
You can use either voltage pump with a 230v tub you have to make sure the white wire is neutral if you use a 155v pump and hot if you use a 230v pump..
@@spaguyhowto7417 I need to replace my pump on my hot tub and need to know the correct size and pump, its a 2MBT on the connection so is do I get a pump with 1.5 or 2 inch on the pump ?? thanks
Thanks Dude! We definitely owe you a beer!
Thanks, you saved me $360. A spa repair guy wanted $360 for the first hour and $130 for every hour after that.
What if my spa has the water bleed valve that connected to my old pump just like in this video but the replacement pump doesn't have that input?

I have a bad pump that needs replaced. Can I replace the broken 220 volt pump with a 1hp pool pump that is 115 Volts?
No..
Thank you for that!
Yes, but how the heck can you get to the nuts at the back?
Reach around with a small wrench or use a flexible 1/4" extension and go over the top of the pump..
My jacuzzi was converted to 220v but my old pump is 115v.
Is that why my pump broke??
Do I need to buy a 230v pump or the original 115v?
