Kathryn, I LOVE that you show us your real world, too!!! It makes me feel much more normal. Lol!! My daughter had the flu last week, so I totally feel you. The week was what it was, and now we reclaim the house again. Lol!! Owen and Carson are still just absolute dolls!!! ❤
I wish my husband could see this! I think I might send it to him. He gets so frustrated that our house isn’t shiny clean and picked up ALL of the time. We have two small children and live in a small space. I tell him it’s totally normal to look like a tornado went through sometimes! I think he’d be glad to know we aren’t alone and that other families struggle to keep up with the chaos sometimes, too.
Stephanie Worwa It’s why there’s the saying that cleaning your house while the kids are growing is like shoveling the driveway while it’s still snowing. It’s normal. I also live in a small 600 sq ft home with four children (one is a toddler). One thing that is helping is going minimalist. It’s a work in progress.
Sorry your husband feels that way but he needs to realize that having small kids in the home doesn't leave much time for cleaning the house. If it bothers him that much he can pitch in. I had two kids that were less than a year and a half apart and the second was a preemie with very special round the clock care. I barely had time to eat or sleep much less clean. My house was a disaster.
I have 4 kids. Ages 6,4,2, & 9months and to me it's hard keeping the place super neat all the time and its totally understandable! I try picking up the living room or have them help clean(which is where all their toys end up) but it's totally useless through out the day because they will end right back in the same place. I hate having the place messy when hubby comes home from work so I really try even though he understands and doesn't mind when it's not. Try having your husband have a day with the kids at home so he can get a feel of how our days go while you get some well deserved "me time" (And expect a clean place by the time you get back lol)
Sorry, I think I may have stated this improperly. He absolutely does pitch in and understands WHY it’s chaos, he just wishes we could keep up better. He works hard and I would agree that’s it’s nice to live in a picked up space. But sometimes we just let life take over. We’re getting a better system in place, but slowly. Baby steps!

I've got 4 girls - ages 12, 11 and 8 year old twins - you'd THINK girls would be *willing* to be a little more tidy but nope, not this crew. Finding ways to help keep 4 kids plus myself motivated in ways that work best for them is a tough job!!

We were drowning in stuff we didn't need and our lives were SO stressful because we could never stay on top of everything. Your videos have changed my life..they are short, precise and concise. I started with the kitchen and never get to my room. My whole apartment gets done and I am exhausted by the time I get to my room but if I start in there I never get out.

Thank you for videos like this! I had my husband watch the other video where you showed cleaning in zones and said 30 min to clean and if not done, just reset and do it again another day..... He has been overwhelmed with our kitchen and now sets a timer for 15 min and berserker cleans the kitchen.... I am FINALLY seeing the bottom of our kitchen sink. Slow progress is better than what we had! Thank YOU 😊!!

Squish roll together before putting on holder. Stops little hands unravelling it so fast. Did this with my darling daughter😂. Still do it now most days as it saves paper even when hubby uses it and daughter is older(7).

Definitely had one of those weeks last week. Between 3 sick kids, one hospitalized with pneumonia, and now I'm sick. My house looks like the aftermath of a tornado. "It was what it was!!!" Love it.
I trained my 3 boys with Kleenex , that way they understand how much to use. Toilet paper on a roll is too much fun to unroll, lol I got over the temptation to scream by whispering instead and really praying.
It's just loo roll Hun. It's not worth getting cranky over. My four year old used to do this a lot, at least a whole loo roll at a time. I would just give her the waste bin and tell her to tidy up her mess. She would get fed up with cleaning it up each time, and so she stopped doing it. Simples.
Now that my five sons are 13-21, I see things like this as funny. I wish I'd have laughed and loved more when they were young! What is the point of stressing out?
Do at least one load of laundry a day that way your not overwhelmed . I have to clean everyday if I don't I will scream. I will say my kid's never ruined the toilet paper, I lucked out on that lol...
My whole family has been ill for the past few weeks. We simply needed some new walls to stare at. So instead of doing this, we packed up and headed to Papa and Nana's house. For once it felt so good to just leave the mess for a day or two and come back to life. I worked so hard to get into the good habit of having a tidy house (for the most part) before we leave, but man I just needed to leave. I'm so glad I did and even happier to see a new video as I get back to my grind!
Seeing your sons remind me of the days I had all my 5 of my children when they were little. They're all grown, married with little ones of their own and now it's just me and the hubby. I do have those days when I let our shoebox of a condo go but yes, I totally understand where you were in this video. Once my "get up and go" kicks in the dusting gets done! I'm watching this on Feb. 17, 2020. And it a blessing. My goal for 2020 was to get my home in order. I started about a month before the year ended. I got sick and now it feels the progress has gone down the garbage disposal. Seeing this video gives me hope. I am chronic in pain most days. See I seen it go to the trash I have pick it up clean it and move on. But after the garage disposal, it cannot be pick-up. That, how I feel now. My daughter who got me sick, is upset because she wants to be taken care of. She is feeling better and I can't even get out of bed. But you are so very bubbly and the mess in your home is not quite as bad but, you are showing the way it can be. Thank you. May the LORD bless you and yours for being a beautiful blessing to others.

This was my house this weekend! The whole family was sick for the last 3 weeks, and mama couldn’t keep up with everything by myself! So the whole clean chipped in and got things basically back to normal before the work week started! Only took us about an hour but had I done it all myself would have been at least three times that! Thank you for showing us real life too!

I have my own system of getting things done...little by little, and in shorter amounts of time! Today is a clean, organize and decorate day! I love love love all your videos, because they are all very interesting and lots of substance not a lot of nonsense....I mean this with all honesty too. most youtubers they only show, the uncluttered and polished side and when I watch sometimes it makes me so depressed. Here I am, drowning and the person at the other side of the video looks perfect. I totally agree with you that cleaning or tidying up one little place at a time is better than not doing a thing at all. I live in a teeny-tiny apartment. People might not know that you clutter a small space really quickly than a bigger space. My fiancée and I comes home with groceries and jackets boots (winter here in Canada) that alone makes the whole place so overwhelming. I have to constantly putting away stuff as soon as I come home from a long day work. Thank you for videos like this! I had my husband watch the other video where you showed cleaning in zones and said 30 min to clean and if not done, just reset and do it again another day..... He has been overwhelmed with our kitchen and now sets a timer for 15 min and berserker cleans the kitchen.... I am FINALLY seeing the bottom of our kitchen sink. Slow progress is better than what we had! Thank YOU 😊!!

Squish roll together before putting on holder. Stops little hands unravelling it so fast. Did this with my darling daughter😂. Still do it now most days as it saves paper even when hubby uses it and daughter is older(7).

I trained my 3 boys with Kleenex , that way they understand how much to use. Toilet paper on a roll is too much fun to unroll, lol

It's just loo roll Hun. It's not worth getting cranky over. My four year old used to do this a lot, at least a whole loo roll at a time. I would just give her the waste bin and tell her to tidy up her mess. She would get fed up with cleaning it up each time, and so she stopped doing it. Simples.
Now that my five sons are 13-21, I see things like this as funny. I wish I'd have laughed and loved more when they were young! What is the point of stressing out?

My whole family has been ill for the past few weeks. We simply needed some new walls to stare at. So instead of doing this, we packed up and headed to Papa and Nana's house. For once it felt so good to just leave the mess for a day or two and come back to life. I worked so hard to get into the good habit of having a tidy house (for the most part) before we leave, but man I just needed to leave. I'm so glad I did and even happier to see a new video as I get back to my grind!
For some reason I clean more when I'm mad .
Seeing your sons remind me of the days I had all my 5 of my children when they were little. They're all grown, married with little ones of their own and now it's just me and the hubby. I do have those days when I let our shoebox of a condo go but yes, I totally understand where you were in this video. Once my "get up and go" kicks in the dusting gets done! I'm watching this on Feb. 17, 2020. And it a blessing. My goal for 2020 was to get my home in order. I started about a month before the year ended. I got sick and now it feels the progress has gone down the garbage disposal. Seeing this video gives me hope. I am chronic in pain most days. See I seen it go to the trash I have pick it up clean it and move on. But after the garage disposal, it cannot be pick-up. That, how I feel now. My daughter who got me sick, is upset because she wants to be taken care of. She is feeling better and I can't even get out of bed.
But you are so very bubbly and the mess in your home is not quite as bad but, you are showing the way it can be. Thank you. May the LORD bless you and yours for being a beautiful blessing to others.

This was my house this weekend! The whole family was sick for the last 3 weeks, and mama couldn’t keep up with everything by myself! So the whole clean chipped in and got things basically back to normal before the work week started! Only took us about an hour but had I done it all myself would have been at least three times that! Thank you for showing us real life too!

I have my own system of getting things done...little by little, and in shorter amounts of time! Today is a clean, organize and decorate day! I found some great Spring items at the Dollar Tree and I can't wait to get started!

I love love love all your videos, because they are all very interesting and lots of substance not a lot of nonsense....I mean this with all honesty too. most youtubers they only show, the uncluttered and polished side and when I watch sometimes it makes me so depressed. Here I am, drowning and the person at the other side of the video looks perfect. I totally agree with you that cleaning or tidying up one little place at a time is better than not doing a thing at all. I live in a teeny-tiny apartment. People might not know that you clutter a small space really quickly than a bigger space. My fiancée and I comes home with groceries and jackets boots (winter here in Canada) that alone makes the whole place so overwhelming. I have to constantly putting away stuff as soon as I come home from a long day work.
