Hope you all enjoy the video, which can be found in the behind-the-scenes of The Last Airbender film (of ALL places)! Also, be sure to check out the ambitious re-edit of the Airbender movie on the channel, with the names pronounced correctly, too! ;) Edit: So, I'm noticing a lot of confusion about the creators saying that Katara loves Aang in a babysitter/little brother way, and whether this wrecks the "Kataang" stuff. No, they are not saying Katara doesn't have romantic feelings for Aang. What they are discussing here is how they came up with the character dynamics at the START of the show. So, in Katara's case, they wanted her to view Aang as a little brother INITIALLY before developing romantic feelings later down the road. As the title indicates, this is about the ORIGINS of the show and how it got started. So, they're mostly focused on pre-episode 1 stuff and the first few Book 1 episodes. Hope this clarifies the confusion.
Those two are my heroes. Tnx for making my childhood memories interesting. Me Nd my brothers watch this show together and now me and my kids watch it. We still love it.
Very nice to see their comments on the show. Amazing show, by the way, probably the best NickToon of all. But ain't nobody gonna talk about that drawing here? 05:30 LoLoLoL
Yeah, it's always neat listening to creators discuss how they managed to craft something as incredible as the Last Airbender. Funnily, this interview is from when the creators were promoting Shyamalan's film, and can be found in the special features section.
I never really saw Zuko and Katara as romantically attracted to each other. Katara feels sympathetic towards him in the cave, but that's really it in terms of them liking each other.
What the creators said about katara loves aang as a brother made me a little confused. How does this prove she have romantic feelings for him and not familiar? Or are they talking about their dynamic in avatar ip bible? btw i support kataang
I've noticed a lot of confusion on that part of the interview. But here, they are only talking about what their thought process was at the START of the show. So, they're explaining how they came up with the basic foundation (worldbuilding, character personalities, movement style of the benders) BEFORE they got more serious with the Kataang stuff.
Its amazing what they created, one of THE best worlds in fantasy imo. Amazing how this perfectly worked as both a children show but was also totally mature Im never gonna watch Korra tho 😂
They had romantic feelings for each other that developed over time. What the creators are talking about here is just how they got the ideas of the world and characters started. So, they're mostly focused on the early episodes of season 1; and Katara's romantic feelings for Aang didn't really pick up until season 2. So, that's why they're not talking about that.
@@unicrost well. But to be honest, i see hardly any romantic feeling for Aang from Katara even in season 2 and 3. She was mothering him 24/7 in the show. And Katara was Aang's fantasy
@@augiemardesich Yeah, I don’t like the side angle they chose, either. Or the fact that they hold onto the shots TOO long sometimes. I prefer seeing more old concept art.
Right? I don't like the weird side-face angle and how long it lingers. But the artwork is presented well and I like the main two-shot of the creators. I wish they removed the side angle in favor of showing more old concept art.

the camera angle is terrible
Creative people are really something.
They really and deeply thought about world building that's impressive
These two are absolute geniuses. And time will prove me right I think
I’m pretty sure time already has. Airbender blew up into a fantastic franchise and we're expected to get more content for it down the road. :)
They will never have such a creative idea again.

love the humility
Masters being so humble. So beautiful to see!
love these guys and what they do

More like a CABBAGE trip!!! 😎
Love what you have created....Still fan of avatar ❤❤❤
Theee Goatssss
They had no idea they would've created the greatest cartoon of all time...
When more avatar
I believe there are a couple animated Avatar movies coming in a few years that will take place when Aang is an adult.
@@unicrost cool, but I would like them to make a continuation of what happens after the legend of korra

No it’s not 😡

aww never say never!! season 1 is so good, and Avatar Wan's story in season 3 really adds dimension and unique artistry to the lore!!!

The creators proofs katara love aang romantic snd noe i feel so happy who i hear that from creators
