Speaking of TH-cam’s advertising. Has anyone been noticing the adds?. Tons of them are inappropriate and use among us, Friday night Funkin and pop it fidget toys in a inappropriate way to grabs kid’s attentions and lead them to some cheap website. Half the times the adds involve popular characters almost fully striped with pop it toys covering their parts. This is a problem because these characters are being used in ways they shouldn’t be used, and it started when among us became popular. I think new games that are released and become popular will have their characters stolen for these adds nowadays and not much is being done about it. TH-cam is getting more and more money from these adds and at this point have no care at all with who the adds go to and they don’t care how many times these adds get reported. They also changed the process to report adds so the report buttons has to be found instead of being easy to see. TH-cam has also updated the adds to 3 adds instead of 2 which is even more annoying now since most of the times they cannot be skipped. The advertisers are also using characters that have been deleted by the developers because of toxic communities and they think it’s ok.This needs to be spread so more people can know about and people don’t have to see their favourite characters in inappropriate ways. This needs to be spread so something can be done about it and adds can return back to the normal we used to see. The ones that didn’t have stolen characters and characters used in inappropriate ways. The funny thing is. It’s all just for a quiz website and I don’t even watch among us or pop it content.

Another big Ace that Epic has is, they are owned at the moment of nearly 50% by Tencent. As we know Tencent is a really big company in itself having there hands in a lot of other big companies like warner brothers and behind Tencent is the Chinese state. That means basically unlimited funding. Its pretty scary when you think about that.
I really want a new binding of isaac theory, there's been so much more information, characters, and side games since your last theory on the game, and I really just enjoy the way you make your videos
first off I want to say, since you mentioned valorant just once, I think you would be quite intrigued by the lore in that game: second, yea I was surprised how insanely useful unreal is to make stuff with after using it the first time.
And with the basically confirmed upcoming Among Us collab, that means that Henry Stickmin can canonically go against Thanos with a team consisting of Rick Sanchez, BatMan, and The Mandalorian. And if his recent FNF theory is true, and the official weeks are canon to both worlds involved, then that opens up a whole separate category of collabs. So basically, Fortnite is looking at all crossover fanfictions and making them canon and then some.
This is so much fun to watch as a game dev student, we studie this and talk a lot about this. In the begining mat talk a lot about the history aroud the gaming industry and how Unreal started and we talked a lot about it in our course Gaming history. So this video is so much fun to watch! And I learnd someing new too!!!! Keep up the good work!
That's one of the market failures on the part of Unity that has people think of it as second class to Unreal, despite being on par in most ways. Unity required a license to be able to remove the logo, while Epic required a license to use theirs, last I saw, which has lead to people seeing Unity logos on low quality stuff, and Unreal on higher quality.
What a huge aspect of gaming history I knew absolutely nothing about. I all but glaze over the unreal engine logo when playing some of my favorite games. Such a cool topic. Stuff like this is why I love this channel.
Epic also made their unreal tournament games. I remember playing them when I was younger and they were always superior to other games of the time in terms of fluidity and lack of multi-player issues. Could they have been using some of those games to market newer updates to their engine?
That is what they used to do. Howwver now they can use Fortnite for all their showcasing needs. There is even a new Unreal Tournament that has been effectively ceased active development since Fortnite took over, however you can play the current version of it, assuming you have a fairly decent machine.
I remember when Unreal (the game) first came out. it was groundbreaking. True 3D environments, it had fog and lighting... Wolfenstein and Doom were ground breakers, but Unreal made the genre what it is today. My only regret is that they focused on the engine part, and didn't make a franchise out of the game itself.
yeah, but next to unity and unreal pretty small....aand it uses it's own language, why it isn't as practical for most buisnesses. But I'll guess, that Godot could get a LOT larger in the near Future. (i'm stil using unity tho(...the engine doesnt matter if your just bad and too lazy to practice))
Godot need to fix some stuffs before thinking on 3D, such as the quite annoying way it deals with shader compilation where it only happen when you have an object with the shader onscreen. But vulkan will alleviate this problem quite a bit.
As a game developer myself, it kinda is. Don't get me wrong, it's good for 2D games and certain niches, but 3D still isn't great and the engine could definitely use some improvements, it is getting better though, and maybe someday it can truly compete, but at the moment the engine market is very much Unreal/Unity/Proprietary.
The Game Theorists: "That's what Epic games did in the past." Me, an old frick: "Do not cite the deep history to me, MatPat, I was there when it was written." Also: Skaarj bestest enemy. Unreal is also very intuitive. As much as I liked unity, blue print coding in unreal is not only fun but helps me keep track of everything much easier.

That was a *flawless* transition to the Big Change bit at the end. I'm stunned. I just didn't realise at all until you outright mentioned the sponsor. Congrats on that, you're the first channel to do it so well.
Fun fact: Battle Royale was not meant to be a main attraction in Fortnite. It was meant to be just a building game with a horde mode implemented in it
Fortnite will prob become more than just a BR too in the future, we already have yearly concerts and Creative.
Yeah save the world was 6 years before battle royale
Save The World was the original game and Battle Royale was made with the tech used in STW to combat h1z1, new cod games, and pubg.

Disney: *plans to dominate everything*
Epic: “Challenge accepted.”
th-cam.com/video/Cmp1R7frXWw/w-d-xo.html
Man, has this aged like fine wine! Fortnite just released a trailer that Disney is collaborating with Epic Games today. Can’t wait to play as Mickey Mouse.
As soon as you mentioned that Epic made the Unreal Engine I realized how terrifying they could be.
be more terrified by the fact that Tencent owns 40% of Epic.
The one thing that people should take away from this is that the mandalorian is the longest cut scene.
worst game play tho... stunning graphics and story however
@@arafe.1012 absolutely… no interactivity, no real mapping of controls. But the graphics and story were incredible!
The answer is quite simple. Disney can't default dance, giving them a disadvantage.
I am convinced at this point mat could make a theory on anything at this point; no matter how insane or wrong
Mickey: I own everything!
Jonsey: You sure about that kiddo?

It’s kinda funny how he was that powerful. The main villain in the story mode was immediately defeated by a single attack from him.
Godot is actually starting to become a pretty big competitor to unreal and unity. I don’t think it can go toe-to-toe with anyone yet, of course.

@@kitrobins4469 well it sometimes can be a bit weird like how i have a real time business ingame but youtube has been giving me ads about bitcoin and the market even though im only after plat in warframe
couldn't tell you, my add blocks are on 24/7, and these adds are one of the major reasons.
I have yet to get 3 adds on a video and I haven't seen any of the adds you mentioned so I'm not sure how widespread this is. Ideally kids should only be using the TH-cam Kids version so they shouldn't be getting these adds but if they are it's a serious problem

I love the new Stagecraft technology they’re using in the Disney+ shows.
For how cheesy the intros usually are this one was pretty epic

Why are you everywhere?

And my parents wouldn't pay 1 dollar per year for the life of me.
Lmao parents are paying to get the kids to stop being noobs
They don’t want their kids raging and destroying valuables.

Matpats connected universe theory that he did means that canonically Ariana grande and Rick Sanchez could team up and become marvel superheroes
Yes
Rickiana Granchez
@@crimsonraiderxv3422 Arianick Sande
And with the basically confirmed upcoming Among Us collab, that means that Henry Stickmin can canonically go against Thanos with a team consisting of Rick Sanchez, BatMan, and The Mandalorian. And if his recent FNF theory is true, and the official weeks are canon to both worlds involved, then that opens up a whole separate category of collabs. So basically, Fortnite is looking at all crossover fanfictions and making them canon and then some.

I’m just imagining the opening of the “live action” lion king saying “made with unity”

This aged like wine.
Palpatine: The game engines are taking over!
Mace: They already have
@thanks y
MatPat: “There really is only one competitor”
Godot: “Am I a joke to you?”
godot is pretty popular but not even close to unity
godot is still small and on the rise so it's no surprise most people have no idea of it's existence yet
yeah, but next to unity and unreal pretty small....aand it uses it's own language, why it isn't as practical for most buisnesses.
The Game Theorists: "That's what Epic games did in the past."
Me, an old frick: "Do not cite the deep history to me, MatPat, I was there when it was written."
Also: Skaarj bestest enemy.
Edit: Also let's not forget the great engine of the early 00s. The Quake 3 engine. So many games done with it. And Steams Source engine.
