I think usually over 9-10 hours of actual sleep has no extra benefits. Of course being in the bed for longer can be beneficial if you need to in order to get enough of actual sleep.
The vast majority of the population is under-sleeping not over-sleeping. I feel it wouldn’t be the worst thing if most people temporarily overcorrected in the right direction.

Pomodoro certainly helped me ease into a more focused lifestyle, but as it got easier to focus I no longer find myself needing it. There're good reasons to use it if you still live a pretty distracted life, because you can progressively overload and improve your breaks over time. For me, initially, I played a game on my phone that had matches that last less than 5 minutes, and that really helped get more work done as a student that suffered with bad habits. Eventually, as my bad habits were reduced significantly, I got into meditating during the breaks instead which was a lot better for me in the long run.
Completely agree w/ this one. Pomodoro is helpful for getting a baseline timing of productive work. However, the goal should be to stretch it into longer periods of time w/o breaks, similar to learning how to run 1 mile before trying a marathon
Pomodoro has its uses. Anything that doesn't have an timely end goal can benefit from breaks. Studying imo is a big one. Studying for hours upon hours without break is completely counterproductive.

I agree that there’s something about the pomodoro technique that makes it look like it was made for people who are too weak-willed to do the hard work, but I think that you should take breaks to recover focus power. Maybe you just do the work for as long as the focus lasts, and when the productivity begins to taper off you meditate or something.
Yeah, I agree. If the task is not something that’s gonna be done in one sitting, then it’s good to take a break and focus on something else productive.
Going back to that weed study, I also read somewhere that trying to do deep work sleep deprived is the equivalent of smoking hella weed and trying to do the same work. Doesn’t matter what other habits you implement, if you don’t get your proper sleep, a lot of other things go out the window
As someone who has done work while high and replying to texts, I can confirm communicating with others takes you out your flow state significantly more😂 being high makes you operate slower, but can make you more focused/motivated to complete the task at hand depending on the high you’re experiencing

If you're stuck on figuring out what your *MOST IMPORTANT THING* is, do yourself a favour and follow this quick exercise: write down *all* the things you could be doing to get to closer your goal, e.g. passing your exam, starting your business, creating content. Then proceed to cut 80% of the list down, i.e. if you have written down 20 potential tasks, get it to 4 by crossing them off and then here's the magic... do it again, so you end up with ONE task. That, my fellow cult members, is your ONE thing. Your ONE thing to get done. The ONE thing that is going to get you your results. Perfect timing. I've been planning out the perfect schedule for my productivity this week and I'm trying to find ways to cut down on time and increase my efficiency.

Batching: do more of the same thing in the same session (you don't have to set up again) don't just stop to do something else in the middle, you'll lose focus (example: answering at a message takes a few seconds but destroys your focus completely) 80/20 rule the only essential things that give you the most outcome
1:22 - i no longer use an alarm on my phone anymore. instead i bough this like lamp that goes onto my bedsidetable and its got like a whole app and stuff to control it. one of the features is that you can set a time for it to slowly turn on. so in the mornings the lamp slowly brightens and i get woken up by light in a much more subtle way rather than an aggressive alarm. its called the hue lamp or something like that
I've been able to work today from 11am to 6pm straight thanks to your advice. I'm really grateful for finding your channel. The first thing that I wrote when I started journaling is :"I'm grateful for finding your channel, Hamza." You might that I've done the hard work and I should be grateful towards myself but you really helped me. Thanks dude
10:20 actually there are studies, especially regarding studying, that having small mental breaks (not some facebook, instagram, tiktok nonsense) between studying sessions improved studying efficiency greatly
For sleep i bought the Oura ring, which tracks both sleep and activity throughout the day. It's non-intrusive, doesn't bombard you with messages on your phone and works really well. Can recommend!
Something hit me- this is exactly the opposite of what we’re told to do in school. Wake up way too early while you’re sleep deprived and go to an ineffective learning environment where you’re told that everything is important. Every single question on every single assignment and since there’s no time for yourself and no focus on mental health the only way the kids avoid depression is by using their phone and games as escapism. The only thing it was useful for was time blocking your day tbh
Kinda off topic but I think there is a big misunderstaning when people say that you promote the hustle culture, and then you reply by saying that you work 2-3 hours a week. For people who are addicted to instant gradification, everything other than that (learning, reading, exercising, journaling etc.) is work for them. It is something that requires them to put in the work and get tired, so that they can have benefits from it later. On the other side, most of these activities are parts of your life, things that you uvinde to, that you use to relax and enjoy yourself. The only activity that you consider work in you life is something that you do to make money. This topic is related to a video about addiction that I watched today, but you posted it almost 2 weeks ago and I think you wouldn't see my comment there. I really hope many people see this, as well as Hamza.
When I get the urge to say things like “I already know the 80/20 rule” I reply to myself “if you truly knew you would be in another situation and wouldn’t be watching this”
Great video Hamza, I’m going to try to get better sleep. First step I have to get rid of my coffee addiction, it’s literally impossible for me to sleep early when I drink coffee.
Bro I saw this video an hour ago and I’m reading right now and I flip the page for the 4 hour work week and It’s explaining what your saying abt batching that’s crazy😂

most people that use productivity tactics are people that are smart in a dumb way (got a video on it). Either nerds or jeffrey's. I think some of them just get stuck in a bad routine that they think is productive but actually doesn't help them in life. You need humility to be able to say that your life is a lie and some people just aren't ready to do it.

1:22 - i no longer use an alarm on my phone anymore. instead i bough this like lamp that goes onto my bedsidetable and its got like a whole app and stuff to control it. one of the features is that you can set a time for it to slowly turn on. so in the mornings the lamp slowly brightens and i get woken up by light in a much more subtle way rather than an aggressive alarm. its called the hue lamp or something like that
yo, “start talking to yourself like a man.” This is the character development that is missing from all these productivity channels. Wow. 🎯
I was expecting a 1 hr full guide about teenage life🚶♂️(guess by community tab)
Guessed wring
I've been able to work today from 11am to 6pm straight thanks to your advice. I'm really grateful for finding your channel. The first thing that I wrote when I started journaling is :"I'm grateful for finding your channel, Hamza." You might that I've done the hard work and I should be grateful towards myself but you really helped me. Thanks dude
10:20 actually there are studies, especially regarding studying, that having small mental breaks (not some facebook, instagram, tiktok nonsense) between studying sessions improved studying efficiency greatly
Not the forest app Hamza 😩🌳 lmaoo great video tho, I really needed this.
For sleep i bought the Oura ring, which tracks both sleep and activity throughout the day. It's non-intrusive, doesn't bombard you with messages on your phone and works really well. Can recommend!
🤷🏾♂️
This video came at the right time...
Amazing advice.
This is exactly the thing that I needed to hear right now)
Something hit me- this is exactly the opposite of what we’re told to do in school.
I like to spend my breaks watching Hamza videos lol.
6:23 This keyboard impression was great !! :')
i like this guy
Bro I saw this video an hour ago and I’m reading right now and I flip the page for the 4 hour work week and It’s explaining what your saying abt batching that’s crazy😂
Hamza, could you do a video of you explaining all the papers and things on your wall and how they help you
I’m glad u don’t try to make ppl laugh with self deprecating humor like every other channel
Congrats on 400k mate
Can we appreciate the accurate sound Hamza made at 6:24

I love the way this guy talks 😂😂😂
Your advice is unmatched 🔥🔥
most people that use productivity tactics are people that are smart in a dumb way (got a video on it). Either nerds or jeffrey's. I think some of them just get stuck in a bad routine that they think is productive but actually doesn't help them in life. You need humility to be able to say that your life is a lie and some people just aren't ready to do it.
tripling down hell yeah
I like how he suddenly ends the video outta nowhere
