See I’m thinking Konrad sounds more like a tweaked out Christopher Walken without the Shakespearean speech & he refers to Corax as “Cowbell” every now & then.
...A well done presentation: you captured Curze's mannerisms perfectly! ...It isn't easy to capture the Night Haunter's voice, but I found the rendering in the Amber King's primarch video on Konrad Curze to be closest I can envision. Check it out if you haven't yet.
I do think Corvus hated Konrad because deep down he knows that he knows that he would've been just like him if he had a slightly worse upbringing. But at the same time he also just hates him because Konrad is a scumbag who doesn't know how to solve a problem without intimidation or savagery. Basically Corvus is Batman and Konad is Owlman. Konad looked at the abyss and blinked. Corvus looked at the abyss, turned into a cool Raven god and bullies word bearers now.
Curze’ voice is such a hard thing to get down, between the depth deserving of a Primarch and the cackling madness of the joker. I almost wanna say it needs more depth but yet, I feel like if it was any deeper, it would come off too hard, and not fitting. Good mix of both, and look forward to what else you have
Kurze's voice is not as deep and gravely as Perturabo's, not as stark and exacting as Dorn's, not as smooth as Fulgrim's, not as kind as Sanguinius's. It's akin to a mix between the cunningness of Alpharius, the directness of Guilliman, the underlying sorrow of Magnus, and the assuredness of the Lion. It's astringent yet calm, with slightly paranoid tremolo component yet every syllable is carefully chosen, measured, and poignant.... and with no trace of a speech impediment, slur, or lisp. Kurze knows what will come to pass, he has see it in his mind. He has seen the fates of his brothers - their folly and hubris - and knows that non of it can be prevented. It has driven him insane. Knowing all of these things while not being taken seriously by anyone he confides in. Imagine the heartbreak, the helplessness, the fear in knowing that nothing you say or do can alter the future. That the realization of these facts, and not truly understanding why you still attempt to warn anyone anyway - knowing the futility of it all - will do nothing except slowly plunge you into a state of impotent, raving madness.
this is an interesting take on his voice. I think Malcolm McDowell would be a good Konrad Kurze voice since I saw it in someone's video. especially his voice from castlevania which gives Mature yet insane vibe.
Konrad never had the passion as Corvus. He did not believe in his legion and in turn they sought ever lower expectations. I honestly think this man needed more hugs because a downward spiral is not something a superman can even get through without support.
When you know the outcome and how it really is you don’t give a damn about hugs or fake legion love lol. Why would he care for things that care not for him or won’t even matter in time. Konrad knew all of it before hand and didn’t give a shit about others for he already knew.
@@Mudada91 Because, and I believe Sanguinius told him, the future was never set. If he had fought against his fate he may have had a chance against it especially since he had that foresight, but more importantly he would have had some grace. If he was going to die why did he take it literally sitting down.
Pretty much Haley's Curze here. Can't say I like what Guy did, but your voice acting is very well performed. A bit youthful but can't blame you for that. Subscribed, gonna binge what else you got. Gj.
While its a great text, you should have used a sound editor to make it deeper, and more noble. Curze is a primarch, his nobility is there hidden behind his madness. AVE DOMINUS NOX
Well done son!!! Very fucking dope… You have a talent for this , I bet @amberking would use you in one of his productions, you are just as good as the other collaborators he uses. If you don’t know who he is I suggest checking him out, he’s a quite popularly loremaster on here. Keep on going man, your performance is not only heard but felt and I listen to 40k lore every day.
Not to be a dick, but I'm gettng more of an adolescent emo-boy doing a pseudo-Shakesperean Joker. I'm not trying to be harsh in my critique. I just calls like I hears 'em. In my head I hear Curze more as Batman gone way, way, way off the deep end into the dark night, gravel, rasp, & roar with a blistering bass timbre. He is a Primarch after all. Maybe consider using a vox modulator. Nevertheless, don't let my opinion put you off doing what you do, 'cuz ya' know what they say 'bout opinion, eh?
Admittedly not my best work. I find Curze particularly difficult as he ranges so much in tone. From as you say a more Batman-esque figure to the outright insane and broken figure he is by his death. Still, wanted to give it a shot.
Night Haunter was the only primearch who saw the universe of 40k clearly. It’s really frustrating when some writers mess up his lore (or the legions). The bit about desiring Corax’s ability has always been interesting to me because he clearly didn’t need it to accomplish the original goal of taking Nostromo. So… what could the motivation be really? I think because disappearing to such a degree could have provided him another layer of choice in so many of the terrible situations he was in early on. When he climbed from the core of his planet at birth he immediately had to kill someone with a piece of his crib-craft-thing…. Would have been a much easier journey to simply vanish but that wasn’t in his nature. I’ve wondered how much that ability alone differentiated the 2, prescience vs anonymity, one to know ultimately and the other to be hidden, it’s a curious question with a lot of potential. Cliche. Always gets old when people ASSUME that Konrade sounds like a craven maniac from some trash comic. Ever think he got as far as he did NOT because he was a primarch but because he could also orate as well as Lorgar, or any of the other primarchs? Childish rendition. Almost as bad as having him sound like an old count Dracula from a movie. Sad.
Cliche, perhaps, but this is from some of his final, private moments. I do concede this is far from my best as it proved difficult to nail down. However, this is Curze at the absolute height of his madness. I've always pictured him essentially having two "voices" to call upon at this stage. The one he addressed his sons with, more of the Dark King, and the one that he used only in private and when his mind tortured him the most. I consider this final speech more in that second category than the first. The voice went through quite a few variations and my range is not infinite. I primarily wanted to channel the madness of these moments, not his regal qualities.
could always go for deeper tbf, petty, perhaps....but even unhelmed night lords have deep voices even with their words sound like a knife stroked across silk. delivery is massive, I'm not having a dig its just the night haunter was fucking brutal as well as despairing@@usa_bruce4295
Corvus: "I help blind children."
Konrad: "I help blind children."
Dammit☠️
Corvus "I HELP blind children"
Konrad "I HELP BLIND children"
Punctuation… lol
Tried this on ChatGPT. It praised me but recoils in horror when I explained that I was using "blind" as a verb
Our Father always had a troubled heart. He was meant to be the Emperor’s Judge/Justiciary, but instead he was the executioner/punisher.
No, that would be Russ and Lion. Kurze was a straight up t3rrorist.
